The hotel / room is so beautiful it was beyond words .... the room was spacious & was almost out of a fairy tale ... the restaurant is good , loved the herring salad ... the bathroom was clean .... the hotel sent a very good map with directions to the place and when we reached they had someone going with us to show the parking ...thats almost unthinkable ... after check out they walked with us once again to the parking to help us ... thats superlative service and thats what makes a stay exceptional . At breakfast no stale eggs ...they cooked fresh scrambled eggs for everyone ... It was the last stay in out trip and this was the best place we stayed . Exceptional location , close to the main square and church ... So glad I booked here.

This has nothing to do with the hotel ... but we were a family of 4 and when we walked in lugging 5 suitcases on cobble stones, this elderly couple looked at us and made faces ,kind of a sneer ... just spoils the mood and bitters the experience ...and reminds how some "old & wise" people may be actually "old , unwise, unkind and racist" !!!

It is a charming hotel. The staff was real nice. Beautiful Bed and decorations. Everything is within walking distance. The room was really spacious and clean. Very close to the Christmas Market.

Location, location, location!!! We visited 12/20-12/23 which is prime Christmas market time. The location was perfect. We were around the corner from the markets which was nice because it was extremely close, but not right in the middle of the action. The inn was charming and cute—just what we wanted for this particular occasion. The restaurant was delicious as well.

The beds were creaky and uncomfortable by night #2. The beds made noises with the slightest movement. It was a running joke with my kids by the end of the trip.

An amazing hotel. Located in the heart of Rothenburg. Sparkling clean room. The staff were kind and helpful. Although you can't park in the vicinity of the old town, there is a parking lot outside of the old town which is less than 5 minutes walk. You can park in front of the hotel to check in, though. We will definitely come back.

There is no A/C in the rooms, only fans. We stayed in mid August. However, the fans were sufficient. Overall, the hotel is absolutely perfect.

amazing property right in the center of town-but very quiet! You can walk to the city square in less then 5 minutes. the front desk is amazing, so friendly. one in our party has about every food allergy on this planet, the cook worked with us to provide her a most memorable dinner experience. they also worked with her for the breakfast buffet. we would choose to stay here again and again. we were a party of family and friends of 14 and the made sure our 5 rooms were close to each other. they also provided us with the necessary private space for the dinner, which was amazing, and for breakfast the next morning.

everything was in best order-no down side whatsoever!

Amazing staff, awesome location right next to the central square. We travelled as a large family with 11 adults and 3 children. We had 5 rooms for our party. The staff accommodated us by putting our rooms very close to each other. All rooms were very tastefully decorated. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at their restaurant where the cook went out of her way to prepare a meal that worked for our daughter who is allergic to gluten, soy, and dairy. They also considered her allergies for breakfast the next morning. Upon checkout we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel until we left town l in the afternoon. We loved this place and would return anytime.

That we could only spend one night.

Location is fantastic! Steps away from shops and town center. Quick and efficient check in. Room and bathroom sparkling clean. Bathroom is very modern. Room furniture is charming. Breakfast is great with lots of delicious fresh breads, eggs, bacon, salami, fresh fruits, cheese, spreads. Night front desk person was so nice and accommodating. We sat in the lobby at night playing Uno and ordered some wine and beer. The night desk gentleman made sure we got our drinks and were comfortable playing cards. Front desk held our luggage after check out so we could have a few more hours in the lovely town. So glad we stayed overnight in the beautiful town.

We were quite comfortable with the fan they provided and the windows open but there is no central air conditioning.

Location couldn’t be better! Seconds away from the main square. Super kind and helpful staff.

Felt a little like grandmas house but that’s also part of what made it feel funny / charming. The only thing I wish they warned us about was that parking was outside of the medieval walls (which wasn’t a big deal, they had a staff person take us there) but was a little weird that we parked in what seemed like someone’s house garage (single car). We did it anyways and turned out fine. Just a heads up!

We were lucky to book one of two rooms on the top floor of this lovely hotel in the walls of the medieval walled town. The room was comfortable and well-equipped with modern fixtures and charming furnishings. The breakfast was delicious and service from check-in to check-out was great! If you're going to stay in the walls, do consider this spot for your stay.

There is only short-term parking within the walls, so you must park outside the walls overnight. (This is true of all the hotels in the city walls)

The hotel is just divine! The location is perfect for walking throughout the old town, close to the Marktplatz and easy to get to the fortified wall. Breakfast was included and the breakfast room is most inviting with excellent food. The room was clean and comfortable.

For anyone who has any mobility issues, there are steps wherever you go (but for a building from 1559 that is understandable). The tub has high walls and it’s hard to get in and out of.
