Loved the boutique feel of the decor. It was very comfortable in the lounge if you wanted to sit and relax . Lots of history about the building, great location, bed super comfortable, breakfast was delicious and will definitely be back. The Radley sports bar underneath was great too for a spot of pool in the afternoon!

Minor things but no mirror with lights or table to apply makeup or do my hair .. didn’t know til the next day we could have had a rubber mat in the bathroom.. tiles are lethal when wet. I slipped getting out of the bath the first day and slipped in the shower the second. There are also no grab bars.. I’ve had two knee replacements and it would have just given me some stability. The room was soo hot! 🥵 and we could open the window and the fan just moved warm air around. Perhaps an air con unit in the rooms would help?

The location. The Radley bar and shuffleboard. Very friendly young man working there and we could watch football match there and eat pies which were nice. The cooked breakfast. Especially good mushroom. Lots of choice of cooked items. The fridge with fresh milk and water in the room. The soft towels. General comfort. The young man that served breakfast 2 or 3 days very polite.

The fire alarm which gave me a headache as it couldn't be turned off one morning.Was started by someone's shower. The coffee maker in room as kettle would have made better tea. The draughty bathroom window. The people going over cobbles outside window with cases or trolley waking us up at 7.. The last breakfast server on Friday. She was too busy and did not bring fruit salad out until cooked food eventually brought out by chef. Also think fruit should be readily available not just by request. The additional food item added to our bill which we did not have. The young lady did take it off but unfortunately she still made me feel as if I was lying about having had it. This didn't make a good end to what was otherwise a pleasant stay. This is why I rated staff lower she let the team down .

Everything from the warm welcome on arrival from Macy, a nice lunch enjoyed in the bar area at a window table on our arrival after a long journey getting there. Room comfy and clean, we were in the annexe room 18, beautiful shower room (good shower). Breakfast nice the next morning served by another helpful staff member Josh. Would definitely stay here again. Great kerb appeal and beautiful ambience inside.

We wished the super comfy double bed was king size as the room was big enough to accommodate one, my husband is 6'1" and we just found it a bit snug as we're used to a king size bed at home.

Breakfast was very nice and hot. Plenty of choice. Great serving times.

Young man behind the bar with slightly frizzy hair was very rude to me and others in the bar. Asked for two pints and he gave me the wrong larger When i raised it with him he replied im not a mind reader am i. He also insulted another customer who had her vape out. Grated she should have been outside with it but he raised his voice in front of a full bar of customers was very embarrasing for her and for others. Very unprofesional.

Staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient. The restaurant and lounge areas are beautifully decorated and comfortable. Bedroom was also beautifully appointed and comfortable. Little touches such as a fridge with cold water and milk, the invitation in the bathroom to ask for any essentials you may have forgotten was over and above what many British hotels lack. Would highly recommend a visit.

One small thing was the mirror in the bedroom was too small to use whilst drying your hair but that is the only thing I can think of.

The room was nicely decorated with a modern bathroom and walk in shower. We really liked having a good coffee machine and fresh milk kept in a little fridge. There were also biscuits in a small jar rather than plastic packets. As we had mentioned it was our anniversary we had a lovely plate with small cakes on our arrival in the room which was a really nice touch. We had a really enjoyable dinner in the hotel restaurant.

The mattress dipped a bit and the service at breakfast was a little slow. It would be better to be able to help yourself to coffee and tea rather than wait for it to be served. The breakfast was delicious though. The bathroom needs an extractor as the tiled floor became very slippery with condensation when using the shower.

Convenient location with a nice big car park, not far off the motorway and in a pleasant little town. A lovely old building with a modern refurb. The meal we had in the restaurant in the evening was excellent. Breakfast was good too, although service in the morning was slow. Room was comfortable and clean

Service at breakfast could have been better, and check-out was slow. We should have settled our bill for the evening meal during the evening rather than waiting to do it at check-out in the morning as we'd already paid for the room.

Pretty nice place. Modern interiors. Lovely large bathroom with walk in shower. Very comfy bed my husband said. A bit soft for me. We upgraded as a treat. Very busy restaurant but the lounge/bar caters well for hotel guests. Not noisy, apart from the creaky floorboards, but then it is an old building. Nice breakfast buffet (however it took 2 days to realise the cheese and ham is tucked away in a mini fridge!). Good tasty cooked breakfast with options.

The staff were very friendly. However there didn't seem to be enough of them. Issues around people waiting to be checked in/out meaning the poor girl in the breakfast lounge area was rushing about like a headless chicken. However we were very well looked after otherwise.

The location of the venue was ideal, located on a main road through the town with easy access to nearby shops, bars etc. The room was incredible and exceeded all expectations - I stayed at the venue the night before my wedding with family and friends, and all 4 rooms I booked were fantastic. The staff could not do more to assist and accommodate everyone and were up for laughing with us too. We ate at the restaurant for our evening meal and the food was gorgeous, having had the starts and main. The portions are a good size so we didn't have room for dessert! There is a free car park at the back of the hotel so everything felt secure and out of the way. Highly recommend and I will be coming back here with the hubby to celebrate our 1st anniversary!

One of the rooms was smaller than the other 3 but honestly, this didn't make a difference to us! Absolutely no effect on the rating!

In one word... Everything! The room was clean and well provisioned. The hotel was ideally located for our stay. The breakfast was really good and set us up for the day. Last but definitely not the least are the staff who were very helpful and a credit to the hotel. Thank you for a lovely stay and can't wait to come back.

If I was being really picky I'd say that when we used the shower the floor in the bathroom got wet and slippery. We ended up just putting towels down, of which there were plenty, to stop the water spreading.
