This a fun place to stay in penticton. There's are lots of families. We were visiting with a family and had a separate quieter room as a couple away from the pool which we were happy about. The staff were fantastic so friendly and helpful. The pool is great and clean. The location a block away from the beach. We have stayed in Penticton many times over the years would recommend.

If you stay need to appreciate this is an old style motel and your room may need some upgrades but it's part of the Penticton charm. We could have done with a few more plates and bowls but it was ok. There's no bike storage which is a bit of a problem. Some guests store in their rooms but ours was upstairs. We found a place in the parking we were ok locking our bikes too. The manager said if booking can call and they have other hotels with bike storage but we were booking with friends and wanted this hotel. If they can afford the expense they could put a locked bike cage in the covered parking area. Many guests bring bikes. But it did end up working ok.

We arrived earlier than our check in time, and interrupted a staff event (BBQ) in progress. And didn't feel that it mattered to the staff at all. Friendly greeting and two front desk staff to assist us. The unit was big. One queen bed in a separate bedroom and the second queen in the "living room" area. There was also a couch, and then a full kitchen and dining suite. The unit was extremely clean. And parking was right outside the back door to the unit.

The bed was comfortable with many pillows of different soft and firmness. The little kitchen was great. You are a block away from Okanogan Lake with many top knock restaurants to choose from. Parking was convenient.

The room was very smelly of cleaners when we entered. It dissipated by the next day but as someone who has a sensitivity to heavy cleaners it was very strong at first. Changing the shower heads might go a long way to improve that experience. They are very outdated.

The room was larger than expected. Had a great outdoor area (although closed for the season). Good parking even though shared had lots of room to park options. Had a large kitchen, nice interior with a bright vintage vibe better than other hotels and motels I have visited and found a great deal. Tv with Shaw, air conditioning worked great same with the heating. Provided nice shampoo, conditioner, and soaps not the standard low quality, with unique refreshing scents (took them all home).

Was hard to find our room in #103 turns out it was past the office along the outdoor patio past the pool and straight ahead along with numbers #106 or 105 - 102 so after a few to many times around the building we did reach our room.

I always stay at the Bowmont when in Penticton. It’s a perfect location , near the beach, easily accessible to get around from the motel, restaurants nearby, lots of activities nearby to attend and the view from the balconies is amazing. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and the kitchen is perfect for my needs.

I honestly have nothing bad to say about it. The motel is older, but still clean, tidy and affordable. I highly recommend it.

Location is good, bed is very comfortable, kitchen is nice with full size frig, bathroom and floors are renovated nicely. Great outdoor pool!

Our room, though a non smoking room, still smelled of stale smoke. Some of the furniture is old and worn looking. The front door does not sit tightly against the floor so debris, water, insects? comes in.

Great facilities like the BBQ area, overall the concept is really fun with the retro vibe. Close to the beach, quiet and the beds are comfortable.

The furniture is very worn out around the pool and in the common area. Pool is great but the concrete liner is coming off in big sharp chunks. The AC units in the rooms do a good job of cooling but they’re ancient and very, very loud at night. Going without AC is absolutely impossible in the Okanagan summer heat. Calls to the office weren’t returned, and we stayed 3 nights without ever getting any housekeeping service which was surprising. I would still stay again, but will come with lower expectations.

Had a great stay at the motel for my 4-day work-related visit. The best thing about the stay, other than the nice and comfy room (and nicer views!) was the availability of all basic utensils (mugs, plates, cutlery etc.) in the ensuite kitchenette -- so convenient! The room also included a sitting area I could use as desk and an air conditioner. Being at the conference all day, I loved the quiet and relaxed ambience and spending evening by the pool. The staff were extra nice and helpful and happy to give tips on bussing around the Okanagan valley.

my room's balcony door was stuck shut :/ but I didn't mind much; the windows had sliders for ventilation.

Location is perfect Pool is awesome Large area to have a gathering, with BBQs available Right across the street from locolanding amusement park 2 min walk to Okanagan lake. Bring a wagon and walk over there

There is no elevator and the stairs are a bit narrow. The ivy is taking over the one section of the stairs, which makes it a little trickier to navigate.

The building has good bones and lots of retro character. It is an excellent location for families to access the beach and recreational activities and for everyone to get to the waterfront. The pool looked nice but we never used it. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. The area was quiet.

The Bowmont requires lots of upgrading. There were stains in some furniture and the floors could be cleaner. One of our party didn’t like the musty smell in their room and another’s said there were burn marks in the bathroom floor.
