The staff was the highlight of this hotel. Valerie, Adam and Mittell made our stay special. The rooms are very good, clean, with coffee machine, water and a good shower. Breakfast is very good. The hotel is 10 minutes away from Ettlingen, and 20 minutes from Karlruhe, so a car is needed. They have onsite parking at 17 euros/day.

The AC did not work during our stay, we had to change rooms 3 times in 2 days to get some relief, and left sleep deprived. The technicians tried to fix the AC, unsuccessfully. The staff was gracious, but there was little they could do, other than giving us a different room. The hotel is close to an expressway, and opening the windows is not an option due to noise. We find 17 euros/day parking fee expensive.

Location was great, just off the highway but in a quiet location. It was easy to check in and offload our luggage at the entrance. We were greeted warmly by the friendly staff at both the reception desk and bar/restaurant. Great service. Food and drink prices were decent. Appreciated the little things, like free peanut snacks during happy hour. Breakfast buffet was a terrific value, similar to the Radisson Blu we stayed at in Bruges in 2022. Always lots of delicious choices. Room was spacious and comfortable. Although we didn't them, the sauna and exercise room were great benefits.

It would have been nice to have a note card in our room to provide an orientation with a short description of available hotel benefits and services and their operating hours.

Radisson Blu Hotel Karlsruhe is a place I’ve stayed at more than once – and for good reason. It’s conveniently located outside the city, which makes arriving and leaving super easy when you're on the road. The parking is spacious and safe (for an extra fee, but worth it). The room was spotless, fresh-smelling, and very well maintained. Bedding was high quality, the mattress and pillows were truly comfortable – I slept like a baby. Also, I was pleasantly surprised by the bathroom cosmetics – definitely above average, not your typical “sachet shampoo”. Dinner at the restaurant, however, was a bit of a culinary adventure. The steak was tougher than expected and priced as if it came with a private chef. Luckily, the pumpkin soup saved the evening – thick, aromatic, and genuinely delicious. All in all, this is a reliable and comfortable place to stay with top-notch cleanliness. The restaurant could use a bit of fine-tuning, but everything else was really great.

The rooms are well equipped, well designed and in general the premises are very nice. Staff is welcoming. The parking lot feels safe and there were many free spaces to choose from. Easy to recommend this place for a night while traveling on the highway. Will come again later.

The parking fee is extreme - 17e for the night. The stay itself is very reasonably priced given the quality of everything, but the parking fee should be considered as many will likely arrive by car given the hotel's ideal location for long road trips. A minor complaint is that the bathroom has some design issue which may result in partially flooded bathroom floor though the floor drain while showering in the bath tube.

- Not enough charge points for car - Breakfast spread could have been better for the money you pay for - price of dinner is a bit high.

The hotel was really nice - interior of the hotel, breakfast, bar, rooms were super. Room was spacious, clean, quiet with a comfy bed. On breakfast there were wide range of choise. The bar is open every day til 1 a.m. and the waiter there was helpful and kind. You can take a dinner at the hotel too. The location was great, so close to the highway. We enjoyed the stay.

The menu at the hotel for dinner is a bit expensive. I think the staff was a bit confused on reception and at the hotel like this I think they might be much more welcoming, helpful and kind. At check-in, they gave us separated beds, even when we checked one, so we requested a change. On check-out, nobody validated our parking ticket, they did only when we came back with the question if parking was not included, when the machine wanted us to pay 17€.

Perfect stop point for a long trip from NL to Italy. We arrived late in the evening and left very early in the morning, so our stay was just few hours. However great to refresh and rest few hours in a nice room.

The receptionist in the evening (Francesca was the name, if i am correct) was great. Really nice person. On the other hand, her colleague that was making the night shift was quite rude and grumpy. I understand that the night shift is not great, but that is not guest's fault. He should probably learn some manners.

place is nice, luxurious style, I forgot money there and they kept it, called me, kept record of it and stored it in a dedicated safe, staff is nice and relatable, reliable wifi everywhere in the premises, Penny supermarket a few minutes walk away

clothes washed in the sink are difficult to hang and dry for free, sometimes check-in takes a while because there's only 1 busy staff and a line can form

Room was nice, breakfast was just great, and I really appreciated the tea selection. The beddings and towels were visibly clean, there was free water in the room as well as other useful things like water boiler, iron.

The smell. It was horrible. The toilet in the room smelled very bad. They really need to use some air freshener or at ventilate it well before the new guests arrive. The same applies to the carpet, it smelled like dust. For people like me with dust allergies this was suboptimal. I understand this is the most cost efficient material, but it really needs good cleaning. However, after two hours of ventilation I could enjoy my stay. That said, toilet was cleaned and the shower was well functioning, probably recently renovated, and clean.

We got this hotel as we needed a place to be able to set a home office day in a long trip. The WiFi is strong enough to have teleconference. Rooms are spacious enough for two people working and they have complementary coffee and tea. It's possible to work up to the end of the breakfast time in the room and then the common area has a good place to keep working.

The area is not nice, this is a business place.
