Across the street from the train station and the zoo. This was great, as from the hotel room we could hear some animals occasionally, but without them becoming too noisy. The staff was helpful and the room was pleasant and pretty spacious.

The small bottle of water that is usually offered complimentary in the hotel room actually had a price of three euros. That didn't seem very welcoming of them, and it really left a "cash grab" feeling with us. This was after we had a city tax we had to pay (seven euros) which wasn't included in the price of the room, for some reason - again, as it usually is.

It’s close to central station and the Zoo. The kids loved our room. The room was cleaned every day.

There’s a kitchen, so that we can cook for our children, unfortunately it did not provide basic needs such as salt and pepper. There’s no knife or scissors, only knives for the bread. The internet was quite slow at the upper room.

Room location opposite the streetcar platforms proved to be surprisingly quiet--and the room was just perfect for a solo traveler. Fan was useful as late summer weather continued in early October. Staff responsive to request for an extra towel. Having a bar/restaurant right downstairs was also very nice. I would recommend this hotel for solo travelers and couples valuing access to central train station across the street. Also the zoo grounds are lovely (I toured them on a previous visit.)

Hotel reception is in the bar area and it is difficult for the people there, it seems, to juggle competing client requests.

The location is fantastic: just over the road from the main station ( I arrived and left by train) and immediately adjacent to the excellent park. The hotel has a large terrace attached to its restaurant. Room was large, bed was comfy (and there was space for more people, had I not been alone.

The advertised free WiFi did not work in the room, which was disappointing, but could be accessed anywhere downstairs (breakfast room or terrace). Staff behaviour was mixed. On the first evening I had an outstanding Kellnerin on the terrace, but the next lunchtime I had the feeling of being ignored and had to be proactive to get served. Overall, positives outweighed negatives: I would visit this hotel again.

it's actually a "gastropub" serving beer and food, with a few guest rooms and whole apartments upstairs. It's possible to get breakfast at extra charge, but I didn't try it. I didn't expect much, needing a room for one night by the train station, but was pleasantly surprised. There is an elevator. The place is very clean, there is a fridge and a kettle with quality tea and coffee provided, and large flatscreen TV. There is an actual working desk you can put you laptop on. The room was well heated in February--not always a given in Europe these days. The bed was actually comfortable. The location is right across the main train station, thus convenient for trains, intercitybuses e.g. to Strasbourg (which stop on the other side of the train station) and also regional transportation (checkout the Siebentäler Thermalbad in Bad Herrenalb ). 10 min by tram to the center of town or to the Vierordtbadt sauna/spa near the congress center. Next time I travel with my gang I might inquire about their apartments.

The wifi signal was very weak--that was the only issue. Note that they don't have a reception desk as such but all staff members were friendly and accommodating and they allowed me to leave luggage there during the day.

Very convenient location next to Hauptbahnhof. Arrived at 10am, intending only to leave my bags, but room was ready and I was able to check in at once. Room.had a pretty comfortable desk and chair.

Plug was stuck down so that water could not be flushed from from the bathroom sink. Hot water took a while to warm up in the shower.

Easy access to train station, handsome building, clean and tidy. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff at check in. Nice to have a fan on a warm day in a corner room. Nicely prepared food, very tastey, and outdoor dining at the restaurant.

Shower had no bath mat, and was slippery, no grab bar. Staff at restaurant were quite slow and inattentive to a solo diner.

Location is grand, especially if you travel by rail. Service was good. Room was quiet and clean. Staff was friendly. We will come back any time if we travel in Germany. We had stayed at this hotel before in 2019.

Very nice hotel, right next to the zoo and in front of the Central Station Karlsruhe! Perfect for animal lovers as you can hear everything at night and feel like you're in the jungle! Pleasant to fall asleep and wake up! Very good hotel with a mega restaurant in the lower part of the building.
