My family of 6 had a fabulous stay at the Podere Sette Piagge! It exceeded our expectations in every way. The property is beautiful, lush, and well maintained with 2 sweets dogs and a cat that greeted us every day. Francesca, the proprietor, and her family were warm, friendly, and helpful. It was easy to converse with Francesca, who spoke English very well. She helped us with dinner suggestions in Orvieto and reservations at the Locanda just across the street. We spent afternoons at the lovely pool, and Francesca brought us wine and snacks to enjoy while lounging there. Breakfast was served outside under grape vines and overlooking the gorgeous countryside. It was a delicious spread of pastries, fruit from the property, fresh eggs from their chickens, meats, and cheeses. We also had coffee made to order. Her small staff seemed more like family and were kind and friendly. They refreshed our rooms daily. It was truly a magical experience at the Podere Sette Piagge, and we hope to return again one day! Thank you so much to Francesca and her family!

What a beautiful experience we had at Podere Sette Piagge. The grounds were idyllic. The pool was enjoyable with a majestic view of the cliffs of the old town. There was great variety with the included breakfast located under the pergola of grape vines. The old Etruscan path up to the old village was very steep and challenging but a peaceful 20 minute walk if you were up to it (although not lit at night). Francesca and her staff were friendly and super helpful. Thankyou for a very enjoyable stay.

The shower was small (as many in Europe are) and the wifi was a little slow sometimes but these were very minor issues and did not affect the enjoyment of our stay.

What a lovely little piece of paradise! A small, family run guest house, surrounded by a lush garden with flowers, fruit trees, fragrant herbs and home grown vegetables, as well as a nice swimming pool (which was already closed in October), an outdoor kitchen and dining area beneath a pergola laden with clusters of grapes. Our rooms were spacious, clean and very pleasant. We arrived around lunch time, and our cordial host (head of the family that also resides on the premises) was kind enough to improvise a delicious lunch of cold cuts, cheese, savory pastries filled with broccolini and sausage, a large salad from his garden and a bottle of local white wine, all for 14 euro per person. Breakfast in the bright dining room (it was a bit chilly to have it outside) was also very nice. We only stayed the one night, concluding a 10-day visit to Toscana and on our way to Fiumicino, but I can well imagine relaxing there for several days. Great value for money and lovely hospitality!

A car is a must (there's free private parking), as the place is off the winding road leading uphill to the old town of Orvieto, and there is no pavement. Even crossing the road to the nice restaurant opposite the hotel is best done by car, although it's a mere 200 meters.

We loved our time at Podere Sette Piagge. Francesca, her family and staff couldn't help us enough with things to see and do in Orvieto and surrounding towns. It was a 5 min drive OR a 20 minute zig zag walk up a paved Etruscan path to Orvieto. A wonderful breakfast was provided each day. Most afternoon's were spent in the pool and wonderful gardens below the majestic Orvieto cliffs - stunning !! The rooms were very comfortable - no issues with sleeping.

No issues for us

I initially came here for the pool which was right outside our annex room, a self-contained "granny flat" on the property but not connected to the main house. The annex is much bigger than I expected, with a fridge, a small kitchen with glasses, a bottle opener and plates. You could have a little feast of cheese and cold cuts and wine that you bought at the town's handy supermarket if you didn't feel like going out that evening. The second we checked in and got settled, I jumped straight into the pool, which I had all to myself. It was utter bliss. The family who own and run the property are excellent cooks and I enjoyed homemade pastry and cake at breakfast. Francesca, who manages the overall running of Podere Sette Piagge, was very helpful in organising taxis for us and sending our laundry away to be cleaned. It's not a 24-hour desk, but if you need anything, she's a WhatsApp text away. The whole family made us feel welcome from the second we arrived right up until we left. We'll definitely be back.

While only a 15-20 minute walk away, I was not expecting the hill we had to climb to get into the town to be quite so steep - be warned. I have an issue with vertigo and heights and struggled on the way down every time the incline shifted - I thought I was going to fall off! However, that is entirely my issue and was fully aware that Orvieto is a hilltop town before we booked. You're also at the mercy of local taxi drivers (all five of them) who charge €20 each time to and from the town. One guy had the cheek to ask for €25 as he knew we'd been to the most expensive restaurant in Orvieto - Coro - and he took advantage. I would advise to either rent a car or make peace with the hill, weather permitting. It gets easier with each climb.

The agriturismo is beautiful and peaceful. There are fruit trees everywhere. The entire grounds are so picturesque and calming. We were given remote access to come and go as we pleased. Every time we arrived back to the agriturismo we were greeted by two sweet dogs! The old town of Orvieto was just an easy few minutes drive. Francesca had a lovely breakfast spread every morning before we set out on our adventures. We met so many wonderful fellow travelers, all with a different story and background. The entire visit was just delightful! Our room was super clean. Comfortable bed and pillows. Nice bathroom. I loved that the towels and linens are dried on the clothes line instead of a dryer so they smelled fresh. Cold water and snacks are provided for free in a fridge in the hallway. We could not have asked for a better accommodations on our first trip to Orvieto! Would love to return some day.

The shower is a bit tight but, really, a very insignificant point considering how lovely Podere Sette Piagge is.
