The room was of an ample size. I was staying alone, but it would have also been very comfortable for a couple. The bathroom was very nice, with an excellent shower. The breakfast was delicious and had a variety of offerings. The staff was quite accommodating of our attempts to speak a little Italian.

The bed was a little hard and the pillows very flat, but that is typical in Italian hotel rooms in my experience. It was just fine.

Great location next to the striped Duomo. Cute town. Breakfast was solid, cappuccino was delish, room was spacious and very clean and comfortable. I appreciated the elevator so I didn't have to lug my heavy carry-on bag up the stairs and I really appreciated the air conditioning once I figured out that the hotel has to push a button for it to work. I felt safe at all times (I am female and was a solo traveler on this trip). The staff were nice and courteous, though two of the recommended restaurants suggested to me were closed ...but there MANY restaurants to choose from, so that was not a big deal. The artwork in the Duomo is interesting, as was the underground tour (which was also a nice escape from the rays of the hot Italian sun in July!). Overall, it was a good stay, and I'm glad to have visited this history-filled village on a hill!

I drove a rental car and getting to Hotel Duomo was adventurous! Small one way streets... and finding parking was tricky, even though I used Google Maps. I ended up parking at metered parking which was fine. Bathroom lights and air conditioning were tricky but ultimately fine. One other thing: the artwork in the room was a little weird! Not a dealbreaker, but sad clowns and a grim reaper were not happy and/or chill vacation vibes. They are probably some famous paintings that I should know about, but still, they are a bit of a downer for a hotel room. :)

Fantastic location - right next to the Duomo. Friendly, professional staff. Nice big room. Very quiet. Clean. Comfortable bed. Good water pressure. Great breakfast with lots of gluten free options. Paid parking lot was close by and a little challenging to get into (very tiny streets!) but staff was very helpful.

The shower enclosure leaked and got a ton of water on the floor, soaking the bath mat through every time we showered. The tile floor felt a little sticky, I think from cleaning fluid not from being dirty, but they did provide nice free slippers so I can't complain too much!

Helpful, friendly, service-oriented staff. Hotel lost wifi due to an intense thunderstorm and they were all about getting it up and running as soon as possible. Great location just steps from the Duomo. Nicely decorated. Very clean, comfy bed. We stayed in the annex which is a short walk from the main building. Lots of variety on the breakfast buffet. Couldn't ask for anything more. Orvieto is a pretty town with lots of interesting and varied things to do for a single day.

I can't think of anything; all was great.

Stay superb — hotel delightful — service outstanding. Stumbled on Hotel Duomo in Orvieto for one night and got a pleasant annex room at a fair price, but what made it unforgettable was the human touch. Alessia was extraordinary: after I mentioned a bad meal in Rome she personally recommended a local gem she attends, and when the Wi-Fi failed she tirelessly troubleshot it — then upgraded me to a gorgeous room in the main hotel when the issue couldn’t be fixed. If you go, ask for Alessia — Alessia è una dea!

Once you find it, Hotel Duomo turns out to be a nice, well-appointed hotel in a good central location in Orvieto. 24 hour desk (pleasant, English speaking hotel staff) and a lift. Our room (# 114) was nice and well kept, with a digital safe, which was refreshing after 3 safes with physical keys. The room has a little balcony overlooking a ccourtyard and with a view toward part of the Duomo. Good wifi. Reasonable flat space in room, and kudos for two chairs with back support. Slippers a nice touch. Decent, if small shower with a high step up, which may be risky for the elderly or mobility impaired. Tray for soap in shower. Good English language channel selection. Reasonable flat space in room, and kudos for two chairs with back support. Slippers a nice touch.

Limited electrical outlets and flat space in room. Limited flat space in bath, especially for Two travelers. Have to leave key at reception when leaving, which as a veteran European traveler, I understand, but always have had a reservation about if, for instance, reception is not manned when we return from a late dinner Hotel is a considerable walk from funicular and station. We found it preferable, if expensive (€20) to take a taxi for our departure to Rome. This is not a negative, but just a choice we made for our conveniencer.

Great location right in the heart of Orvieto. Easy walk to restaurants and sites. Extra charge for parking, but given the location of the hotel that is understandable.

We had a bit of trouble finding the hotel as the streets surrounding are very narrow and the signage not the best. We could see the hotel sign from the upper plaza (near the Duomo) but could not figure out how to get there. Eventually ended up asking one of the staff to actually drive the car from the upper plaza to the hotel door which they willingly did.

Marvellous location beside Orvieto’s incredible duomo/cathedral. Orvieto is one of the loveliest places in Italy. The room was superb, spacious, comfortable and extremely well decorated and maintained. The artwork was original and added to the atmosphere of the hotel, especially the pictures inspired by Luca Signorelli’s frescoes within the duomo. The balcony facing the duomo was a real treat when we were relaxing in the later evening. The breakfast area was very pleasant indeed, and it made a nice change to have our coffee served fresh.

There was nothing to dislike. My wife and I would commend this hotel unreservedly to anyone visiting Orvieto.

The staff was super helpful and went above and beyond to accommodate and make our stay as comfortable and easy as possible. We got into town late and got lost. The manager stayed on the phone to talk us through directions, came outside to meet us and help us with parking, and then gave us a room upgrade. Wonderful customer service! The location was perfect (everything we wanted to see in Orvieto was easily walkable from the hotel) and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great too!

Traditional small, family run hotel. All staff were very welcoming and helpful. The location is right in the centre of beautiful Orvieto, opposite the Duomo. The room was comfortable and clean, with older style furnishings and quirky artwork. The room was so quiet at night, considering the central location. Delicious breakfast in the small dining room, especially the home made cakes. Definitely recommend staying here.
