Orvieto is an amazing city full of beauty and history. But the best part was our stay at Sant’Angelo 42. It’s a beautiful cozy boutique B + B in a fantastic location. Our host Giulia was very accommodating, and cared for us like family. We felt very comfortable and appreciated. That, coupled with a well appointed room, not to mention the comfortable bed, prepared us for a active fun filled day. To that end, her breakfast skills helped get our energy up for a day of touring and walking. She was simply a fantastic host, and allowed us to keep our baggage there all day after check out. Sant’Angelo 42 is where we will stay when we return, and also the place I will recommend to family and friends. Thank you Giulia for a wonderful stay.

Although I arrived later than my stated time the host(ess) arrived promptly to let me in and put me in a very nice and spacious room. The location of the B&B is in a mostly pedestrian area off of Piazza St. Angelo, so very quiet. It seemed residential there. The Duomo and its piazza were just up the hill and restaurants abounded in Corso Cavour. Breakfast was not offered for the time I was there which was ok with me because I like to go to the local caffe-bar and I can't do both!

The location was perfect- just off the main piazza but quiet enough to get a good night's sleep. Our room was lovely- with modern, comfortable furnishings and historic charming details. Our host was friendly and gave us a map of Orvieto to help us navigate the town.

We did not travel with cell service so it was a bit tricky to navigate getting our keys upon arrival and check out. We also did not ever find out when breakfast was or if it was included- although we saw signs that it was available (tables were set).

We were given a coupon to get a coffee and pastry at a local cafe. Our greeter was a very sweet gal but she did not speak English and we did not speak Italian! Luckily, she was able to ask a friend next door to join us! The friend spoke English and was able to share critical information with us! We LOVED the beautiful neighborhood we were in and the sound of the church bells! Lovely!!! What a wonderful city!!!

Perhaps a map showing where the cafe is located would have been helpful! We went to one "around the corner" but it was the wrong one! Not being able to communicate with the staff member at the front desk.

Our lodging was clean, in a great location, and great value for your Euro or dollar. Both beds were very comfy and the pillows were great. The lodging is right in the old town yet on a quiet side street, so it’s very quiet.

The room is quite small if you use the rollaway which is tucked under the double bed. Be aware that you need to carry your luggage up two flights of stairs. If neither of these are issues for you, this is an excellent choice.

This is a great property! Artfully designed and beautiful. Our rooms were clean, the beds were big, and the bathrooms were the biggest that we had in our entire stay in Italy. The breakfast was nice. I got a couple pictures of the breakfast, but forgot to photograph the big platter of filled croissants. The proprietor is friendly and easy to work with. The location is perfect, centrally located but on a quiet street.

The room was modern, spacious and comfortable. Continental breakfast was good and the host was good to communicate with and helpful. Orvieto is a beautiful town and well worth a visit.

Its not really a complaint but getting our bags from the public parking to the property was a bit tricky but no different to any other town like this with parking restrictions.

The property was beautiful with a mixture of antique and modern furniture located near the historic center. Our room was overlooking a small street that was very quiet and restful.Our host met us on time and gave directions and suggestions for enjoyment. Breakfast was delicious.

What a great boutique hotel. Hidden on a side street of Orvieto. 5 min walk from the Duomo, and 2 min walk to plenty of restaurants and shops. The mattress was great. And that is important after all the walking you will be doing.

Well...if you book a room with the Juliet balcony, that comes with a cost. Plenty of steps. So pack light.
