Staff in Restaurant/Breakfast are very pleasant and customer centric;, especially the old ladies Jennifer the receptionist is exceptional . The breakfast is good too. The housekeep staff are hard working and pleasant. Room size is very good and comfortable, so is the parking facilities.

The day before we were due to check out and I enquired about the possible extension of checkout time from 11am to 12am. The man at the reception was persistent and as a matter-of-factly that extension to 12 noon would incur thirteen pounds charge. PERIOD. To me this is rigid and not at all hospitable to a customer who stays for 12 days/11 nights. On the departure morning I causally enquired with one lady at the reception after breakfast she immediately said that check-out extended to 12 noon is no problem at all. This is what I expect hospitality service and attitude. We in the end checked out at 11:30am. The man above makes us think twice if we would return to Grand Manor in our future vacation even considering all the favorable experience we have had.

Loved it - we were moved from the main house, for which we'd been offered a free upgrade at no extra cost, to the garden annex because we let them know we were taking a dog with us - they waived the extra fee for the dog due to the room swap - no problem and thanks :) The bed was enormous and soooo comfortable, ideal as we used this as a stopover travelling back from The Outer Hebrides. It was a wonderfully quite night with the ability to throw the window wide open, trees right outside the window and the long awaited rain pouring down all night - bliss. We slept for 9 hours! Best bit - we didn't have to vacate the room until 11am - gave us time to wander along the canal from the hotel and up to visit The Kelpies...well worth the walk. Very happy guests.

OK if I was picky I suppose the bathroom could do with a refurb but the shower was more than adequate and it was all very clean and everything worked as it should.

The hotel is set back from a major road, so not too noisy. large car park. On arrival we were given a fabulous room, apparently it is the bridal suite!!. Such a great treat, large bed, sitting area, beautiful appointed bathroom. Cooks kitchen is situated within the car park area and was a great place for evening meals, great variety and good quality of both produce and service. Make sure you book prior however as it does get busy and they did have to turn some people away.

My only issue was that they charged a supplement for smoked salmon with scrambled eggs at breakfast, whilst everything else is included within your B&B rate. It was only £3.50 so not massive, but did not feel it was just, against the other choices. We have stayed at a number of hotels in Scotland and have not had to pay any supplement.

The hotel was easy to find and very welcoming. The receptionist booked us in, then explained the easiest way to walk to see the Kelpies, and how to drive should we want. The breakfast was very good, but I couldn't eat it all as it was so big! I stuck with the buffet the next morning. We ate in Cooks restaurant both nights. Food was good, but not exceptional. We were in room 214 in the garden wing. It was chilly when we went in, but it soon warmed up with the heater on. It was a nice, large quiet room with a view of shrubbery. Overall, a nice hotel which I would recommend and use again should we be in the area.

We were a bit flumuxed by the taps in the basin in the (nice large) bathroom. We couldn't turn them on, so pushed them, pulled them pressed them and eventually did turn them on. They had been turned off so tightly, we realised why when they wouldn't stop dripping. It didn't bother us as it didn't make a noise, but I don't like to see water wasted. Two minor niggles were 1. the TV remote wouldn't turn the TV off, so we had to switch it off at the plug just a little thing which I did report on leaving. 2. The shower head was a bit grubby with a little black mould in the nozzles - just a pet hate of mine, probably something most people don't notice.

The breakfast was delicious Room was well laid out with plenty of room to move and ability to take best friend to stay also cook's resteraunt was very good was delicious

The initial first floor room had a smell that irritated nostrils causing me and dog to sneeze (although upon being told to staff we wer moved to another room and our 3 course meal that night was free) There was a lack of usable plugs in rooms ( had to charge phone on other side of room than the bed ) Ground floor corridor had a unknown smell throughout A dog fee of £15 per night is extortionate

Absolutely wonderful place to stay with my Dogs. Clean and inviting and the bed was really comfy. Great Bathroom (even a bath). Stayed in the garden rooms which gave excellent outside space for the dogs to stretch. I Was made to feel very welcome from the receptionist to the lovely ladies who keep the rooms all clean. Great place to visit the kelpies along the canal path, then we then walked 4 miles to the Falkirk wheel and back. Great location and will definitely stay again.

Had to close the curtains so the dogs didn't see people walking into the hotel 🫣. We were right by the doors

Staff was very friendly and helpful, arranging a table in the restaurant for me both nights. It was possible to book breakfast for only 1 day, since the other day I had to leave before breakfast. The room itself was very quiet, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing, friendly staff again, and very accommodating. The Kelpies really are about 10-15 minutes walking. Other sights are within driving distance. Free parking, plenty of space.

Quiet location, extremely comfortable bed, breakfast was fab (best porridge earen in a long time) and staff really friendly. Plenty of parking too. The only small gripe is that I stayed in a dog friendly room which did smell very doggy from previous guests. Whilst I'm grateful for a dog friendly option, it would be better to have hard flooring rather than carpet to allow for better cleaning and less smell.

Friendly welcome from Staff & informative on the Falkirk on it now being lit up at night which we didn’t know . Friendly staff again on check out on Sunday morning . Friendly staff waiting on at breakfast & our dog loved the sausage surprise for him . Excellent room service as we were shattered from doing 8 days on the NC 500 so just needed food quick which it was & lovely .

I’m not one negative only one towel bath size & one hand towel for two of us in a double room . I had a shower so I had the bath towel wrapped round me & the hand towel on my head , therefore no dry towel for my husband at all not ideal at all . I think this must have been an oversight if we had noticed before we got in the shower I would have phoned reception but it was too late & we were in a rush to get out .

Here’s a short and snappy review for you: Fantastic stay at The Grange Manor! Perfectly located for exploring the area, with spacious, luxurious rooms. Incredibly dog-friendly—our pup was treated like royalty (she loved her breakfast sausage!). Staff were welcoming, service was great, and breakfast was excellent. Only tiny tweak would be softer pillows, but otherwise, absolutely fab. We’ll definitely be back!
