It is just half an hour away by train from Edinburgh and Glasgow so you can explore both cities. It is also just 10 mins walk to Linlithgow Palace. Their free breakfast that comes with our room booking is absolutely delicious! Liam who welcomed us on the first day is very nice and accomodating. Also the girls Taylor and Clare from housekeeping who keep our room comfortable and clean did a really great job and is very nice.

Nothing. I would just suggest a complimentary drinking water in a bottle everytime the room is being made. Just a heads up that a double room means 2 single beds put together but bed is comfortable

Management was responsive and helpful. Some of the younger staff seemed overwhelmed. The breakfast was great and the pub was convenient for dinner and drinks. The location was excellent if visiting Linlithgow, but a bit inconvenient for Edinburgh. It was a hike to the train station, but easy from there. There is no Uber from there, only one taxi service, so good luck there. Overall a nice experience in a quaint town that takes pride in its history.

The rooms need a refurbish. The floors are soft and creaky. Our room and our friend’s room were very small with no room for suitcases. I saw larger rooms when checking out, so ask for those.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The provided breakfast was great. The overall look of the dining/bar areas were really nice and the meals were good.

The bathroom is quite small (the shower is tiny). The bathroom smelt like sewerage which made the room smell every time you opened the bathroom door. The smell went away after about 24 hours so not sure what it was from. The drapes did not cover the windows meaning the light came in really early. The room is small, which I knew from booking, but it makes it quite stuffy inside. No fridge in the room meaning you couldn't store any cold items.

I loked the friendly staff, and how well organised everything was. I liked how special attention was given to the fire routine and what to do in case of fire. My roon was very clean and comfortable, I was impressed with the amount of electrical /phone sockets and additional nespresso coffee machine as well as kettle. A continental breakfast was available however their was an additional breakfast menu available if required at a cost. I liked having this option. I liked the situation and convenience to everywhere of interest and shops. The bathroom was small but had all that was needed for my stay. It was modern and clean. In fact the hotel was spotlessly clean. I liked how accommodating the staff were to make room for me if I needed to dine the night I arrived despite not booking, in the end this wasn't needed.

I would only add that there wasn't a towel rail in the bathroom, but this is being picky on my behalf.

A spacious room with extra wide double bed , comfortable. Got all the facilities. It was very clean too. The staff were wonderful , she noticed we have a 2 years old and before I even said anything she brought baby cot , extra blankets etc. The booking included breakfast as well and the breakfast was a generous one too. The pub downstairs is very friendly and has a nice atmosphere. Definitely well worth the money spent. I would stay again if Im ever back in town.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. On arrival we were met by the lovely Theresa who made us feel very welcome and organised a table for us for dinner. The other staff members were very attentive and the breakfast was great although there were a few items that had been replaced from the original menu it still was very tasty. The room was clean and as it was only for one night it did the job really well and the beds were very comfortable with a great range of coffee and teas with a Nespresso coffee machine with a choice if coffee which we found to be a nice touch. The room also had a good heater and there was also an ironing board and iron and a hairdryer which was great to see especially if travelling light.

There was nothing really if I had to comment I would say the upstairs corridor could maybe do with a wee freshen up but this didn't impact in our stay at all.

shower was either to hot or cold water pressure was rubbish and slow. Towels could have done with somewhere to hang them up in the bathroom especially the hand towel option was sink or floor up and corner of shower was a bit black with mould.

It is a nice Scottish pub with bed and breakfast facilities. We booked 2 rooms, the small 2-bed room is really small, but en suite and that was important, the 3-bed room is large enough, also en suite. The bathrooms are the smallest ones I have met, but clean and functional, with instant hot water. The beds are really comfortable. And the breakfast was amazing! Continental and hot prepared meals (also Scottich ones) can be chosen. There are lunch and dinner facilities in the pub for the public as well, with really good food. The ale and the cider are the best! The available public parking behind the hotel is also a big advantage. We were on a car route and it was more convenient to stay in West Port in Linlithgow and to go to Edinburgh by train (train station is a 15-minutes walk, trains are going in every 15-30 minutes depending on the day period, to Waverley Station) that is 20-25 minutes travel into the heart of Edinburgh. Higly recommended!

For a larger person the bathroom can be too small.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location was great, we stayed here for the Edinburgh marathon and it worked perfectly with trains into Edinburgh very regular and the station only being 10 mins walk away. The room was fairly small but that's the only negative I can think of. The bed takes up most of the space and was very large, the bathroom was larger than average and the room had all amenities including a coffee machine, iron, ironing board, kettle, body wash, shampoo and hand soap. The venue did warn that this venue is a late night venue and my partner and I were expecting it to be noisy / a live band in the bar below or something of the like, but this wasn't the case for us at all, and we stayed over bank holiday weekend. The place was relatively quiet in the evenings and no noise from below. The town of Linlinthgow is lovely and we were so glad to have stumbled upon it by compete accident, we would definitely stay again.

The small Scottish breakfast was so big! All the meals were fantastic and enough for two people to share. The staff were all so friendly and helpful! We love how dogs are welcome everywhere! The location was central for sightseeing. We went to sterling area first, then falkirk, lithingow palace, blackness castle and midhope the next day. The third day we took the train to Edinburgh! That was so convenient and fast! The only problem at the train station was lack of parking. We will definitely pass your in. Onto other travelers!
