very good size of the room cleanliness of the room in general was good. price i paid was a bargain. would return if price stayed roughly the same. check in was fast and easy. quiet at night time, barely heard any noise hairdryer there was a tv with working channels plenty of towels for bathroom which was good. temperature in the room was nice and warm. big bay window which is always nice to have overall me and my partner enjoyed our stay.

no soap or shampoo and conditioner in bathroom for shower (was not topped up) so could not wash my hair. luckily i brought my own soap bar. bedding was marked/dirty on double bed. mattress uncomfortable woke up with sore lower back.

I have stayed many times. During the pandemic this was a secure place for me to stay whilst travelling for work. There is always a warm welcome from staff. The rooms are above the restaurant and whilst they are not luxurious, they are comfortable and well heated. The location is great for nearby industrial parks. Also it is well worth a walk around Bathgate. The restaurant on site is good. Also, Golden Swallow has great Chinese dishes. The latte and Scottish full breakfast are lovely. The price is fantastic. Family run local business.

The facilities needed a bit of refurbishment but the staff especially Shirley and Aga in the dining and Breakfast rooms were excellent. They were so welcoming and friendly and made our visit and enjoyable experience.

The facilities were a little bit dated and needed an upgrade. The TV was very small . And the room needed some decorating. Washbasin had a small crack

Staff great! Checked in late with a packed dinner and staff member on duty in the bar gave me a dinner plate, ketchup, napkin and cutlery to take to my room. Another of the staff helped take my bags up to me room and yet another member of staff cooked and tasty vege breakfast in the morning!

Room ok but needs to finish the redecorating. Bathroom fine but shower goes hot,cold,hot,cold.....

It was a lovely welcoming friendly place to stay . Staff were great and food was delicious. It was definitely value for money. Not 5 star but wouldn't expect that at the price it was. It was very clean.. Very near railway station and shops . I was in that area for a wedding but would stay again if I was over that way...

The worst point for me was the floor . Very uneven and split in places but can't complain too much as it wasn't expensive and the friendly atmosphere made up for few faults..

Room was very good for the bargain price paid and booking a meal in the restaurant very straightforward and easy and the staff were very friendly at dinner service and were very efficient at getting the food ordered and straight out to customers. The food when served was very delicious and lovely. The breakfast was just the same. The beds in the room were very comfortable and made for a great night's sleep and the facilities were of a good standard.

The staff made us feel like we were home away from home, from the manager to the cleaner the cook etc were really friendly, helpful and cheerful. Great location for easy access to Edinburgh and a nice chilled place to come back to with friendly locals!

The internal doors outside the rooms are very noisy when closing as guests seem to let them slam which vibrates the whole room

Really Friendly atmosphere , lunch and evening menu very good value, big portions, and excellent tasty food ,chips too die for 🤪 breakfast made to order by Shirley couldn’t be faulted, also lovely clean rooms ,Shirley again thank you, would not hesitate too return , manager and owner made us very welcome also

Could do with a little update, hairdryer nearly paggered, did spoil our break , just had too let it cool down

The staff were very helpful and friendly. We were able to get a deluxe family room for 3 adults which was great. We had to check-in early for a wedding and although our room wasn't ready we were provided another room to get ready. On returning from the wedding we were helped to our room with the bags. Breakfast was also included in the price.

Dry nice accommodation indeed . Very comfortable and light n warmly . The staff Gary n Hayley were brills went that extra mile to make and enjoyable stay for me . The service in morning was just wonderful. Fully appreciated and I would stay again if I was in the area. Fully recommend.
