Check-in staff was polite and thorough, even brought us to our door. The room was clean, and the hotel itself seemed fine. A restaurant and bar in the hotel is a huge plus. Oscar's is well priced. We asked for a room away from the bar and got one far from it (thank you!). Unfortunately, the other side of the building has a road that stays somewhat active at night, as well as a grocery store. People stopped being loud around 11 pm but were loud again when walking by at 6 am. It's not a huge deal for us, but if you like the window open and are a light sleeper, keep it in mind. The hallway in the second building is a little tight, as they've added a small pedestal on the stairway. It looks nice, but it really needs to go, lol. Overall, it was a great value
It stays a bit loud outside with cars going by, and you can't shut the window as there is no A/c or fan. Light sleepers bring earplugs, everyone else will be fine.

The clean room and ensuite, it really was spotless and fresh and more modern than expected. Nice little touches. Mint on the pillow and nicely displayed brew tray. Good sized telly and lovely sized ensuite with a walk-in shower. the beds were a good size, fit for purpose, and we had a great night sleep, again very clean. Huge wardrobe door mirrors, plenty of storage. Great value for money. I wasn't expecting much facilities wise, but the bar looked welcoming, and the restaurant/ takeaway next door, Oscars was a comfort food delight.
Lack of towels. Only one laid out. but I have no doubt if I'd asked for another one, I'd have been given some. One lamp was out. By the bed. But the main lights was more than adequate. Just minor things that would have mattered personally if staying more than overnight stay.

The staff are very helpful, I have MS and COPD. I travel alone, and the staff make it clear that they ate thete for whatever my needs may be. They are caring, They usually put me in the same room as I liked it the first time. The hotel is spotless, and all the staff are very courteous. The restaurant, the food is delicious, They served generous portions.
That there wasn't a breakfast included. Being disabled, I have to make my own arrangements to find somewhere that serves a breakfast in the comfort of the hotel. That's the only thing I found a disappointment.

Cheap and cheerful. Cosy, warm, comfortable. Could have done with a tiny bit more space at the end of the beds and a suitcase stand or similar but other than that really nice. Would stay again!
We had room 15 which directly overlooked the car park and the bar which was underneath. We stayed at the weekend so it was reasonably loud when patrons were outside but soundproofing was good so didn't hear much except some muted music. To get to our room (and I think all?) You have to go outside from the reception area and to another door with a push button keypad. Bathrooms are not back to back so at 4am got woken by someone going to the toilet and having a shower before leaving, doors must be quite sticky too as there was a slight bang to shut the doors, ours included.

Staffs are very helpful. Room is clean. Clean White crispy bedding . Shower room is spotless . Bed was comfortable. We stay one night only but we will choose this hotel again if we come to Edinburgh or going to airport .
Room is a bit small . But still the best price around the area when it’s school holiday period and march / concert on Edinburgh.

Stayed here before a flight. Nice welcome, comfortable bed,?easy checkout. We didn’t use the restaurant or pub but they looked nice.
Two things. The soap disperser in our room could do with bring renewed. Secondly we arrived late evening when it was dark. There is a tiny dark spot just where start to you walk (at the first turn) from the carpark to the bedrooms. It means it took me a while to work out where I was to walk, and I almost tripped when I was carrying two heavy bags as at that on point I couldn’t see the ground clearly. Probably a fairly easy fix as the area as a whole is well lit.

Staff were superb (laura) a perfect gem. Went above and beyond for us. (sallyann & Linus) very grateful. The food was tasty and real value for money great portion sizes. Great little friendly place. Made very welcome by locals. Not forgetting the cleaners who were lovely and do a great job.

Friendly staff, we were about 10-15 mins early for check in. However, they were able to get us into rooms that had already been sorted which was ideal. Very comfortable beds. Blinds kept out almost all the light. Little mint chocolate on the pillows was a nice touch as was the little biscuits with the tea & coffee.
The other guests doors were rather loud when left to close on their own, understandable as they are fire doors with mechanical door closing devices for safety.

The night porter went above and beyond for us. We put our key in the express checkout at 3am and headed to the airport, on arrival at the airport our holiday had been cancelled. We rang the hotel and the night porter got our key back out of the box and let us back in our room till 11am. He was a star!! He waited outside for us to arrive back.

The room I was allocated was comfortable and extremely clean. Check in was straight forward. Shower worked pretty well. Decent sized car park and the accomodation was easily accessible from the main road. Apart from the size of the bathroom, the quality of the room were similar to those of travelodge etc.
Bathroom was a bit too narrow, perhaps a smaller sink and a bi-folding or sliding door to make access a bit easier. Also building seemed to be very creaky for what seem to be a modern build.
