Level access from the car park into the hotel and checking in was problem free. Our family room (138) had a double bed with two separate single beds and was very clean and quiet. We all enjoyed a good night’s sleep. Electric kettle and plenty of tea and coffee options are provided. The bathroom has a combined shower/ bathtub with a strong water supply for a nice shower or soak. Nice amount of storage space / room furnishings and a large tv on top of a set of drawers. Overall a very pleasant family stay. FYI The Livingston designer outlet malls area is only a five minute walk away from the hotel. Highly recommend a visit to anyone who likes a fantastic shopping experience. We were surprised at the mix and size of the shop choices from foods to coffee and clothing brands both Glasgow or Edinburgh are easy to get to using the M8 motorway.

Breakfast seemed tired especially the cooked been out for too long and not monitored - bacon was unable to be eaten. There was only one choice of flavored yogurt and one tray of cheese. Fresh fruit was limited, all of these comments could be due to coach parties also staying. Location was ok for we needed to go to Harburn so idea. We upgraded the room but found it extremely hot even though a small fan had been provided. The furniture side tables were loosing their veneer, the carpet had seen better days, and the bathroom door inside needed looking at due to the damp atmosphere - not sure it was worth the upgrade. Also no lift in the hotel, and air con would enhance it gretly.

From the moment we stepped through the door, the staff were amazing and friendly. We had taken up the offer of the 3 course meal, which had saved us £10pp (had we purchased our meals separately) and despite our starter taking longer than expected (large group party were dining at the same time) the food was exceptional! The room was very clean with dressing gowns and slippers to use, as well as the complimentary bathroom products. There was a coffee pod machine as well as a kettle with the usual complementary tea, coffee and biscuits. There was a fridge within the room which had cans of sprite, orange juice and water, though we were unsure if those were complimentary too. Breakfast was just as amazing as the previous nights dinner. There were 3 different juices, apple, fresh orange and multi vitamin. There was a hot breakfast with the option of different eggs if you didn't like fried eggs, fresh fruit including fruit salad, yogurts, cold meats, patisseries, cereal (a wide variety) and gluten free cereal too. As well as toast, jam, chocolate spread and tea and coffee. Breakfast was all you could eat. Staff had asked if we would like something else from the hot trolley before they cleared it (never had that happen before) and even though breakfast was till 10 am, staff never rushed us out of the dining area. The whole experience was just wonderful. Warm and friendly, whether in the bar, restaurant or reception. We will definitely be returning in the future.

We really liked the room, it's cleanness and size. The shower was the most powerful we have ever experienced! The daytime reception staff was very polite and helpful and gave us lots of tips on the local pubs and restaurants and how to get there. The hotel even assisted us with getting a taxi from the train station, as there is no taxi rank there.

On a first night the bar closed early, although we were informed that it's 24/7. on the second night there was more guests and the bar reminded open till late, so I'd recommend to ask how busy the hotel is to get the feel what the bar service going to be like ;).

There are many things that helped highlight my stay at mercure Livingston, for example the hotel is in an ideal location 5 minutes off the m8 with the Livingston centre being just a 5 minute walk too just makes it even better, the hotels facilities exceeded my expectations, the staff were lovely to deal with and really friendly. The reception and bar area had a lovely feel and there is plenty of car parking available.

My experience with the Mercure Livingston was mostly good, however, I felt as though the doors are just a bit too thin, when people walk past in the night you can hear every step and every word said. Apart from this I have no other negative comments

On arrival all staff are very friendly and attentive. We had breakfast on one of the days and the selection of food was more than enough. I even went to the bar area where the staff greeted me with a smile and was very helpful, when I asked questions. 5 mins walk to shopping centre.

Although the hotel is lovely and clean it does have a damp smell and it is a bit dated and could be done with a makeover. However it is good value for money and we will be using this as a Base when we come back.

I've stayed in this hotel several times in the past. There is good car parking. The bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom sparkling clean. The bar/restaurant offers decent evening meals. The buffet-style breakfast is excellent, with plenty of choice. I have always found staff here to be very friendly and helpful.

I would have liked to have been able to get the room a degree or so warmer. I did use the electric convector heater to try to warm the room a little, but the controls on it was not all that easy to use.

The staff are super nice and made you feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for them and always very well turned out. The room was also really good. The bed was comfy and it was also very quiet at night. It was also a really good space to chill and out and relax in. The food and bar area were always kept really clean and staff were always on hand for your needs. The hotel is in a good location to travel to Edinburgh or to Glasgow by train, bus or car.

The hotel is a little tricky to find despite the signposts around Livingston.

Property close to the shopping area. Outside looks a little unkept . Reception staff pleasant and helpful. You can use bar and eatery . Room clean some areas a little dated IE wood work . Overall very comfy loved large windows . No lift . Disappointed re snacks machine expensive and if problem staff have no support for machine as outside company. Breakfast was nice staff lovely . Food on hot plate could have been hotter but that's my opinion. Would use again Thank you

Location is perfect and very close to Livingstone Shopping complex. The breakfast served was very good and priced appropriately if you book it at-least a day before. Rooms were clean and comfortable

Facilities were lacking. The phone was not working and even though I informed the reception by walking upto them, no one did anything to fix it. Hair dryer was not provided. At least a bottle of water should have been provided as courtesy, but was not.
