Very nice place, especially if you have a car. It is located between Edinburgh and Glasgow, which makes it very convenient for visiting nearby attractions. The place is clean and comfortable.

The downside was that, since it’s a rather small place, the restaurant closes early and there aren’t many nearby dining options, so you just have to plan ahead. In one of the rooms it was a bit warm at night, and there’s no A/C. During the first nights we had a small issue with a drain smell in our room, but the staff immediately moved us to another room and everything was perfect after that. Other than that, everything was great, with very good service from the staff

I made the booking for my parents, as they were marking their 55th Wedding Anniversary and Dad's 80th birthday. Staff communication prior to their visit was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and they assured me my parents would be well looked after during their stay. This promise was met and exceeded. Mum and Dad have returned home today and couldn't compliment the stay and all aspects of their stay enough. A lovely, spacious room, with unsuite to suit their needs; a fabulous fruit platter upon arrival; friendly, attentive and dedicated staff who knew exactly who they were and made them feel so valued; a great restaurant where they ate each night with delicious food, which was very reasonably priced; a huge choice for breakfast with food made to order....even a birthday cake for Dad on the day, when staff sang and congratulated him. I suspect there are more areas of praise than this as I only saw them briefly to take them home from the airport today but they said they'd had a fabulous stay. For my part, I felt reassured from the moment I booked that I had picked the right accommodation. I've never received so much care and attention with a booking and can't thank the staff enough for giving my parents the wonderful time away they so deserved. I only wish I'd been there too! 😆

Mum & Dad only had praise. The one, tiny thing, was his asking for strong coffee every morning. He said it was fine but could have been stronger. Before checking out his morning, he asked for "Really strong coffee". Dad loves it strong and said he got exactly what he asked for - it was as black as tar and the strongest cup of coffee he's ever had! 😆

The staff were lovely and very helpful. It was exceptionally clean. It was the most comfortable mattress I’ve ever slept on during any hotel stay!

My reading spotlight was faulty but the bedside light did work. The furniture was a bit dated but still adequate. The padded headboard made sitting up in bed very uncomfortable, because it started at shoulder height and, even with pillows stacked behind you, it resulted in pushing you into a slumped forward position with no back support. No coffee machine in the room or the breakfast area, and the coffee served at breakfast was truly horrid. For people who love coffee, it is of higher priority than the breakfast food.

The place was comfortable, and clean. The restaurant staff was very kind when asked to provide ice/ cutlery and plates when needed to eat our carry out food. Chris, who was working at the front desk was very helpful with our questions( looking for a pharmacy who could help as my mom was not feeling to well), patient and kind. Thanks Chris for your help, greatly appreciated!

It could be a little noisy during the night, had windows open because it was unseasonably warm. Floor fans would be helpful if the weather is warm.

The breakfast was very good, lots of choice. Orders for breakfast were taken, rather than you getting it yourself from a buffet and the serving staff were excellent. I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel. Especially the public toilets in the restaurant area. 5* The restaurant had a large variety of meals plus a reduced special on each day of the week.

Next time I will try and book a room on the ground floor. Having to carry our cases up two lots of stairs was not easy. There is no lift. Which I found very surprising. I also wish the breakfast time was until 10am every morning. (When on holiday I like to have the occasional lie in)

The hotel was very conveniently situated between Glasgow and Edinburgh. Every member of staff I came into contact with was warm and friendly. Nothing was a problem at all. I had an evening meal and breakfast in the restaurant. Both were of very good quality and great value. The room was nice an warm with everything you could possibly need. The bed was very comfortable. I would say as someone who stays in around 3 hotels a week, absolute great value for money.

I would say the carpet in my room was a little tired. Could do with being replaced but it didn't detract from my stay in any way shape or form.

Angie and staff were just so awesome. They were very attentive and made my stay feels like home away from home. One of things that stood out was the fact that the replenished the bottled water in the rooms most 4 start don’t even give a bottle of water at the start.

The only complaint is the timeliness of the buses and the distance from central but that’s a matter of choice and preference.

Lovely staff throughout the hotel, very friendly and helpful. We were traveling for a family bereavement, and the staff at reception were more than accommodating to our needs. Clean and spacious bedroom with all facilities catered for .Tea and Coffee tray in room also complimentary water. Extra fresh towels supplied. Food served in bar was excellent and reasonably priced .

Limited access to sockets in the room, the ones available were covered by the heavy desk/tv table .No small mirror in room for make up or while using hair dryer.

Location was excellent for travelling into Edinburgh for rugby match the next day. Our room was really comfortable and very clean. We ate in the restaurant - food was delicious and really good value for money. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. All the staff were very friendly and cheerful. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

The weather 😊 We had a four hour drive through a storm to get there! If only Best Western could control the weather 😊

The Room was spotless clean, bed very comfortable

Tried to call for room service and found the phone line plug was out from connection , i went down to reception and was informed, no room service available 🤷‍♂️ managed to get some crisps. No one came to sort phoneline before i left next day. Bar lounge ran out of small measure glasses during the function i was attending, staff had to go through to other bar for stock which isnt great when lounge was busy.
