Very good breakfast with multiple choices. I haven't had dinner there but the breakfast was tasty so I guess the dinner would have been good as well. The staff is very kind. It's very close to the bus station with good connection to Edinburgh, Glasgow etc. There is a Tesco nearby and the city is very nice. I would stay there again.

The walls are a bit thin so when another guest next room was being loud during the night, I could hear everything. But I guess I was unlucky with this other guest because he was the only one I could hear. Everything else went smoothly.

Staff were friendly and informative. The room was clean. The food and drinks were reasonably priced, and there was plenty of choice. The location was perfect for our needs. .

The breakfast, although plentiful, felt like the black pudding and haggis had been left under a heat lamp as they were dry and hard. There was a group of women in the rooms between us and they were very noisy, I could hear them laughing and chatting through the walls. They banged doors constantly and didn't consider other guests.

The staff are exceptional. We were there for our friends wedding, and the team could not do enough for us. Warm and welcoming , they really do go above and beyond. The Staff made our stay a good one.

Unfortunately our room was in very close proximity to what sounded like a generator or air conditioning system. This tried to kick in about every 20 minutes during the night. We did not get much sleep. Due to the clamminess, we had to keep the window open. The kitchen was obviously below our room, and very early on both mornings we heard their radio and the chatter and noise.

Staff were friendly. Breakfast was excellent.

I requested earl grey tea and the receptionist said the hotel didn’t have any as it wasn’t asked for. I have stayed in the hotel before and always had earl grey. At breakfast when I mentioned this to the waitress I was immediately supplied with earl grey. I have stayed on the first floor before. I didn’t realise there was a second floor and struggled with the stairs. In future I will request first floor accommodation.

A very sweet lady (May) was ever attentive, great with local information (Cullros especially) I (although on holiday) Reserching the Palace village and the land for the great walk uto St Andrews... Manager and Staff also very impressive.. Wonderful visit.. Highly ® recommend DJMc

If I had to make any negative comment on such a wonderful hotel.. Then I'm afraid my first Scottish breakfast, which I've sampled in many hotels the haggis let the perfect down.. Just not top notch.. However I switch to an alternative breakfast... And very happy 😊

i liked the location, so close to the old quarters of Dunfermline, and very close to the Andrew Carnegie park, I really enjoyed walking to and from there. Although i liked to listen to the hustle bustle of the town centre noise at first, it latterly became somewhat annoying around 1am!! The staff were really nice, the room was clean, the bedding was good, plenty hot water too, so i enjoyed a lovely deep hot bath after all my driving and walking that day. A great breakfast, plenty to eat, and really appreciated the fact that fresh fruit was available too.

The mattress, it was quite uncomfortable, that did spoil my stay a little. I knew that the room was on top floor, and for all the money I paid, I felt that was a good compromise. So that was my own choice.

We only stayed one night as we were at the Alhambra Theatre for a show. But our one night stay was excellent and to summarise we checked in at 2pm and from reception to the bar all staff were very friendly and efficient. Our room was immaculate and bed was very comfortable with a lovely shower for a freshen up also. No space in car park for out car but as there was a huge car park at the rear of the hotel this wasn’t as issue as for less the £5 we parked for 24hrs. Had lunch and drinks before heading out which was very nice and the went to some local establishments before our show. In the morning we had a full Scottish breakfast with juice, tea and toast which set us up for the day before travelling back to Edinburgh and one again all the morning staff were very friendly and efficient. Would highly recommend for all of our above reasons and also as walking distance to everything town centre including a lovely Indian restaurant that we went to called the Apricot.

Perfectly placed hotel, right next to Pittencrieff Park. As we were attending a beer festival in the park, we couldn't have been in a better place. It's easy walking access to a variety of food spots, although the hotel itself had a great breakfast. Massive car park directly behind the hotel makes for easy access by car!

We were on the first floor and there was a bit of noise from the bar below. Not a problem for us, we can sleep through anything, but if you're sensitive to noise at night, bring earplugs or ask for a room higher up.

Breakfast was good, hot plate selection was varied and food delivered hot. Buffet included fresh fruit, cereals, yogurt, coffee and toast could be made on a rotating belt machine. Staff were friendly throughout our stay. There's no lift in this hotel so probably not suitable foe people with mobility issues, as there is a lot of stairs, from the car park and to rooms. We enjoyed our stay.

A lift would have been good, however realise probably not possible because of the age of the building

Breakfast was included, lovely choice of continental or cooked. Table service so breakfast made to order-lovely and fresh.

As someone who has osteoporosis and osteoarthritis in my spine I found the bed just slightly too firm for my preference, but probably comfortable for everyone else. Also all pillows slightly too firm! Music blaring from downstairs until midnight, and the noise from the beer garden which travelled up, not ideal when you have an early start the next morning.
