Le Grand Chalet is a great place that we return to regularly. The atmosphere in the hotel exudes tranquility and is located in a beautiful, easily accessible location higher up in Gstaad. The service is attentive, friendly and professional. The vast majority of the employees have been a permanent team for years and that means something. This time we had a renovated room at the back with a beautiful unobstructed view of Gruben. The underground large garage can be reached internally by elevator; super practical. We did miss a real hotel lobby. The lobby as shown in the photo is unfortunately not the reality. The seating area that serves this purpose is limited, does not embrace and the lighting is too bright. Apart from that, this space is also used to place extra tables to seat more people for dinner. In conclusion, a very nice, authentic and very well-maintained hotel that we would like to return to. Le Grand Chalet is highly recommended!

Everything was beyond our expectations! The hotel is set in such a beautiful, picturesque spot. Our room was super cozy and felt just like home. It had everything we needed, the bathroom was brand new, and the whole place was really clean and inviting. The breakfasts were absolutely lovely. A big thank you to every single staff member for their kindness, professionalism, and amazing service. And a special shoutout for the room upgrade — we really appreciated it! We would be so happy to come back here again.

It was our second time a this hotel- the staff were lovely as always. The hotel lobby and restaurant were recently renovated and it looks beautiful. The rooms are a good size. Nice balconies with lovely views. Bathrooms feel recently updates and clean and fresh. The restaurant is well known and the food is excellent. The breakfast spread is really really good. Feels very homey.

The hotel is a little bit out of town up on hill but they do provide a complimentary shuttle service that runs during the day. The walk is definitely possible but going up is a bit of a trek especially if you're not dressed for it.

The staff are very kind. Room is very spacious with a big closet and a nice view over the mountains. The bathroom is modern with a shower head.

The mattress and pillows are way too soft. My back hurt a bit. The location is up and hilly but they offer a free shuttle during the day to the town / train station. On my second day, the animals smell outside the property was a bit strong but I understand we are in the middle of nature.

We loved our stay at Le Chalet!! The location is superb, close to the village but also high on the hill with an amazing mountain view. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Carol at the front desk helped us with our many asks. She helped us hire a ski instructor in a very short notice, and so caringly asked us how we enjoyed our first ever ski lessons on our return. They accomodated a late check out which made all the difference as we were able to freshen up before hitting the road on our last day. The ambiance and decor of the hotel and the room were so pretty and cozy. We tried the restaurant a few times and the quality of the food and the service were phenomenal. Le grand chalet was a fabulous 10/10 stay which we would love to come back to!

Amazing staff, always ready to help and keep smiling. Would love to go back again, just because of rhe place, the hotel and the staff!! The breakfast was in general good, but I usually get bored of eating the same stuff everyday. So a bit of variety to add will be a bonus.

There was nothing to not like about. Everything was so beautifully organised and taken care of.

The view was amazing surrounding mountains .it was beyond my expectations ,all staff were so polite smiling,helpful and very kinds. They always ask if we need anything.we are so happy and I wish to return back. Thanks to staff.

The staff were all really lovely, the receptionist, the cleaning staff, the chauffeur and waiters all offered great service. The room was big and the balcony was lovely to relax on overviewing the mountain. We had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant La Bagatelle which was also excellent even though a tad pricey at 24 CHF for a small desert but the food was delicious and service was excellent as well, the only little detail that would have been nice would have been a little candle or something on my partner desert as I had told the hotel it was a booking for his birthday but maybe I should have told the restaurant, and it is really a detail that doesn’t take away from the amazing time we had there! We will definitely be back!

We loved everything, the two things that could maybe be improved are the pillows which are quite soft and being 8 months pregnant, I would have liked something a bit more supportive, and a little coffee machine or at least a kettle in the room would have been nice as well. But again we loved everything and will definitely be back!

I was in one of the refurbished room and it was spacious and well equipped. I had dinner in the restaurant and the fare was very good though not cheap. The staff were all very nice. The free parking was good and adequate as well as being necessary as the hotel is on a steep hill. My one suggestion is that air conditioning be considered to cool the rooms in the summer.
