The view was spectacular. the home cooked breakfast made specifically for you with delicious and offered eggs which is a treat. The location was great right in Old Town, and most specifically Monica was so knowledgeable, helpful and kind. ( and speaks Great English)

There wasn't anything negative, but just a note, when you arrive I suggest you drive as close to the location as possible before you enter the TZL zone... unpack your things. It is a blue stripe area, but at this time of the year Off Season there's no charge after seven pm till 9 a.m. the next day. You can easily move to free parking which the owner will Direct you to once you've unloaded.

Everything. A prime site (an upper level corner room), with exceptional views from the balcony. Lovely room and ensuite, with most things a guest room should have. Excellent cooked breakfast included (scrambled eggs). An easy 15-20 minute walk (with suitcases on wheels) down a gently sloped hill from the train station , on relatively smooth surfaces. After recently staying in similarly advertised accommodation in Naples, Capri, Positano and Salerno, we can say that the Sunset Tropea B&B was by far the best we had stayed in, with excellent value for money. The others could learn a lot by studying this B&B. Our host Monica was very friendly and helpful, and one of only 2 hosts that provided a map of the town.

There is no lift, only stairs to the second level. But this didn’t worry us. Also no English channels on TV, but this seemed to be similar in other smaller B&Bs we stayed in.

The location was unbeatable! The host, Monica was more accommodating than we could have wished for. Monica gave us tips for restaurants and they were next level. She organised the taxi from the station avoiding any possibility of overcharging. The view and balcony are amazing. Breakfast is bespoke and we had it on our balcony. The best place we’ve stayed at so far on our trip.

Stairs of course, but you don’t get a view without them snd these old places don’t have lifts, so it’s an acceptable dislike, and we can live with it.

The view, the view, the view! Stromboli smoking in the sea! And the wonderful breakfast made to order and brought to us on the wonderful balcony by Monica. She also helped with luggage, restaurant ideas, and things to do. It was always warm and cozy in the room even when chilly outside, bed was comfortable, and it was quiet.

The clifftop building is very old and there are substantial stone steps to the room which were a surprise to us, though ok once our bags were up.

Sunset Tropea has an absolutely brilliant location, right near the centre with stunning views. The room was quite small, but the views more than made up for it. We drove here and I was a bit concerned about getting to the property and parking. We were able to drop our luggage off about 100 metres away as the property is just inside a ZTL. Monika gave us good advice as to where to find a free parking space about 500 metres away.

We liked everything! One nice to know thing is that there is a tap where you can fill your bottle with still or sparkiling water. It is so eco-friendly! No need to buy multiple water bottles and then throw them in the trash. Excellent! And about the view: just wow! It is actually as gorgeous as in the pictures. Bed is comfy and ac works well. Breakfast is great too. Monica, we miss you already! ❤️

Location was amazing! We had an unobstructed view of the sunsets, ocean and islands from our balcony. It was close to main streets with restaurants and shops etc, which meant it was easy to access everything we needed. Monica was lovely, accommodating and helpful. She recommended places to eat and tried to assist with bookings etc. Breakfast included from our balcony was an added bonus- she cooked for us and brought it in at our selected time. So lovely 😍

While the location was perfect, the room itself was a tight squeeze with two adults and their suitcases. Bathroom was huge though!

The view is EVERYTHING!!! To wake up, open your balcony and have breakfast admiring that amazing view of the coast of Tropea feels like a dream or something out of a movie. The location is perfect, you have everything at walking distance, the beach, the local restaurants and stores, even a mini market. Definitely this was the best place unwind and give an end to our Italian trip before parting home. Fully recommend!!!

Sunset Tropea is a wonderful, romantic location with a beautiful view of the water. The pictures of the balcony and view don't lie. You can hear the waves crashing. Watch people down below. Close to the old city and a great place to relax. Host is very friendly. Facility nicely renovated and clean. The room is best for two people. We have two small children (age 4 & 7) and it was a tight squeeze, but we made it work. The sofa bed was great for the children. It had a mattress underneath to provide more space for each child. I was looking forward to the continental (Italian) breakfast, as shown in the pictures, but I assume it being winter season our host provided a made-to-order breakfast. The breakfast was good and made with care. I loved having the water filling station in the kitchen. When we needed plates, napkins or the use of microwave, we could easily access the kitchen. We couldn't hear any other sounds from surrounding rooms. The host, Monica, was easy to communicate with and helped provide suggestions for dinner when we were walking around.

I was looking forward to the continental (Italian) breakfast, as shown in the pictures, but I assume it being winter season our host provided a made-to-order breakfast. When you enter the B&B there is a shared space. The kitchen area. Then you are welcomed to your room. Since we have children we always look for kitchen appliances to make our own meals or snacks because kids are kids. In the description it states, "A dishwasher, a fridge and stovetop are also available." This area was not totally available for us to use. Only a few things, but don't bring food to cook. It is not an area you are allowed to use for cooking.

We stayed at Sunset Tropea and selected the room based on the beautiful view and location. The host was very helpful to help us find free parking a 5 min walk away after we dropped our bags. The view is the best thing about the place. The breakfast was pretty nice too.

This is a B&B rather than a hotel room. It is an apartment which has been converted to rentable rooms. Our room opened up straight up to the kitchen which was also the entrance room, so when you come out of your room you are straight in the arrival room. So felt a little more like a hostel. But again the view on our balcony made up for this.
