The staff at Hotel Los Tambos Boutique were first class! They offered us a free upgrade as we were on our honeymoon and provided a sweet welcome gift in our room. Milagros at the front desk was wonderful and so accommodating.

The upgraded Queen room with a balcony we were given is facing the street where a bar/restaurant is located and it is very loud at night. Despite wearing ear plugs, I could hear music until about 05:00 in the morning. They were unable to change our room due to existing reservations , but (without us asking) Milagros contacted their sister hotel. We met Eduardo at the Los Tambos Colonial and he gave us a tour of the property and showed us several available rooms prior to us switching over. Although we lost the free upgrade, we were able to rest more comfortably and that was 100% worth it. I would recommend Los Tambos Boutique and advise requesting an interior room that is farther away from the street if you’re a light sleeper like me.

I arrived in Arequipa on Monday afternoon (30 December 2024), and twisted my ankle 5 minutes into my Walking Tour. I did not get a chance to see any of Arequipa’s attractions or celebrate New Year’s Eve. I stayed indoors for 2 days to heal my swollen ankle. The team took care of me in the following ways: * Moved my luggage from my room on the 4th floor to Ground floor (because the lift was not working) * Gave me ice (for my swollen ankle) in the morning, afternoon and night every day from Monday until Thursday * Served breakfast in my room on Tuesday and Wednesday (it was so delicious!) * Helped me to call LATAM and Copa Airlines for me to change and confirm my flights (I was on hold for a long time on multiple attempts) * Advised me on which Tours to take (and arranged for Ruta del Sillar) and restaurants to go to based on my limited mobility My heartfelt appreciation to everyone who was on duty during my stay: Milagros, Fiorela, José, Lino, Enrique, Favian, Jhorly, Nadhia & Saly. They took good care of me and made me feel at home when I was traveling alone and so far away from home.

The lift wasn’t working so we had to take the stairs. But there were technicians fixing it on 2 January onwards.

It was a great stay at this hotel. Our check in had thoughtful touches and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast had a great selection, the facilities were great (e.g. hot water, wifi, mini fridge), there was water and tea available in the lobby, and the hotel and room were clean. There are nice terraces as well. I'd definitely stay again!

We were on the 5th floor and the elevator was not working. The repairs were not successful so having to constantly take the stairs was not ideal during our stay. I'd imagine this will be resolved. Otherwise, it was excellent.

Great location, very thoughtful and friendly staff. The breakfast was amazing, you order it fresh - the best we have had so far in Perú (have travelled for past two weeks to 4 different places). They have a rooftop terrace, and the complimentary water refill is a nice touch. Bed and pillows were comfy, we had a good sleep here. They can help you organise tours and also helped us with sorting our laundry (same day service). Bathroom is a good size and has a mini hairdryer. They offer a takeaway breakfast option for those who are leaving for early tours.

Nothing, but a couple of suggestions: invest in blackout curtains for the room. Add a shower gel and shampoo dispenser in the showers to save on packaging/ waste.

So much to love with this hotel - the staff is incredible, the location is perfect (1-block from Plaza Mayor/city center), the hotel itself is so cozy, and the view from the rooftop terrace was amazing. Breakfast was incredible! The fresh papaya juice was the best I've ever had -- and really good coffee. My room was so comfy and quiet when I needed to rest, especially after a long 1-day tour of Colca Canyon. I needed to leave at 3am one morning for Colca Canyon and someone was there in the lobby with me and they also packed me a to-go breakfast bag for the road - so kind!

I would like to thank Fiorela, the hotel manager who went well beyond her duty to accommodate us and make our stay pleasant at the hotel. Due to a problem in the original room that was allocated to us she made sure to take us to the another hotel which is a part of the Los Tambos to make our stay more comfortable and pleasant. We were also touched by her gesture to come to the hotel the day our departure early in the morning to find out how was our stay and to wish us well for the rest of our trip. We were impressed with her ability to quickly address our needs and concerns. She made our stay in Arequipa a true delight. We look forward to returning some time I the near future in Arequipa and would love to stay again at Los Tambos Boutique Hotel. E.T.

The room was great and comfortable. The breakfast was one of the best in Peru and with an outstanding view. The staff was very professional and personable.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. They provided a host of information about places to go, restaurants and helped us find tours. The in-house breakfast was excellent. When we left for our all-day tour at 0300 they had bag breakfasts for us to take. Our stay in Arequipa was enjoyable and pleasant.

The room was a bit small but cozy and there was a dearth of outlets but enough that we were able to charge everything for the myriad of pictures that we took.

The hotel is amazing and exceeded all my expectations. Its location is perfect, providing easy access to key attractions and amenities. The rooftop offers stunning views and is a great place to relax. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any requests. The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The Wi-Fi was reliable and fast, which was great for both work and leisure. Lastly, the breakfast was fantastic, offering a wide variety of delicious options. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.
