Great location in Alsancak near the waterfront and Pasaport ferry landing. Easy walking to all parts of Alsancak and Kemeralti, and to much of Konak. Hotel is relatively new, the rooms are large, bed was very comfortable, good soundproofing between rooms, little traffic noise from outside. Buffet breakfasts were outstanding.

A/C unit was not functioning in the room I was first assigned; was given another room in the back of the hotel which did not suit me. Management gave me another room in the front which was fine in most ways; however, there were no blankets for the bed, only a thin top sheet. Front desk personnel were unable to give honest answers to any problems which arose; rather, they promised solutions which never occurred until management became involved.

Staff, Osgur, Torgut and Halil were so lovely and helpful. Also the gentleman at the reception that I can't recall their name. Breakfast was varied but a bit monotonous. Distant to Konak Square and seaside was great but no beach around d obviously. The live music was so good. Wheelchair accessible

Breakfast too monotonous. You have to pay for nicer coffee. The cleaning lady was lovely but accumulated the hair in a corner for us to pick. That was a bit yuck!! She was very kind though. There was smell of cigarettes in the corridor had to put a towel behind the door to stop the smell coming in

It is a good hotel. Great location, big rooms, very good cleaning and...

There were only two things that bothered me a little. 1- They don't have a blanket!!! There were only sheets on the beds. The room was cold and we wanted to have a blanket, but to our surprise, the hotel told us that we don't have blankets. 2- If you care about breakfast like me, this is not a good hotel for you. Breakfast time is from 7:30 to 10:30. We were at the restaurant at 9:30 and the eggs were finished. They said that it will be charged soon, but I waited for half an hour and it was not charged. This trick is very cheap and old and I haven't seen anything like this in any hotel for years, even the lower ones. If you give breakfast, it means that you have already taken the money from the guest and in fact you are not doing him a favor. Such behavior is disgusting.

The whole service was great! The staff were Polite and Respectful, especially Özgür, he was really helpful in finding us a manicurist locally, he couldn't do enough for us. The rooms were clean, comfortable and had everything we needed including daily complementary water. The buffet breakfast was delicious and filling with some home made farm recipes for jams and honey, an array of cheeses, olives, vegetables and hot cooked options. My favourite was the fresh bread, gevrek and boyoz, proper Turkish tea and filtered coffee.

There was some temporary works going on in the building next door, which we appreciated was not in Ibos hotel's control. However, the front desk manager was brilliant, he did absolutely everything he could and tailored the situation to our needs. He offered to move our room if we wanted and gave us complementary muffins, tea and coffee. The noise was only during the day after breakfast, this did not effect us as we out enjoying this amazing city.

The room was decently spacious and had a really comfortable bed. It seems the hotel is very new and therefore looks very modern and clean. The staff were friendly and spoke excellent English. A lot of breakfast options: salads, cheeses, hams, menemen, they even had a daily rotation of soups. The central location is very convenient, you have the metro and the seaside in walking distance. Overall great value for money, will definitely return.

The door doesn't seem to protect from the noise very much, so if there's anyone talking in the corridor, you will hear it. Also I wasn't sure if the restaurant was open in the evenings or not, since there weren't any lights there.

Upon our arrival at the hotel they greeted us with a big smile and very politely welcomed us, during check in they informed us that they upgraded our double room to a suite room to be more comfortable during our stay, a fact that made us very happy. The common areas of the hotel were large and very clean throughout the hotel. The location 5 minutes walk from the beach and next to all public transport and points of interest. The breakfast on the 2oth floor in a large room had a wide variety and many different products for all tastes, of course and the very tasty tea. Our stay at the hotel was absolutely wonderful and we will definitely return there again. I would like to express my sympathy and a big thank you to the girl at the reception called SUDE who was very kind, helpful and always willing to help us with a smile in whatever we wanted. Well done SUDE, thank you very much.

The hotel is in an excellent location , central. The reception staff was SUPER polite and the category of rooms that we got were absolutely amazing in terms of size , decoration, quality of materials. The rooms are stylish, SUPER CLEAN SERVICE , thanks to all the cleaning ladies working there (thank you so much)!!! Hanging your towels on a special rack if you dont want them changed , was an amazing and very thoughtful idea for the environment. The toiletry products are of a very good quality. Super comfy beds, choice of pillows , amazing beds with storage room underneath !!!!!!! You can storage your suitcase there besides the entrance unit and it all looked so neat and clean, also because the hotel has been very recently opened /refurbished. Very very good breakfast , variety , generosity and politeness. I really have to emphasise the cleaning service as it was double checked on a daily basis!!!!! Well done keep up the good work and effort !

In this exceptional hotel you cant really complain . What could have been better only. And the only little thing is that I would expect more of the staff to be able to speak English or some foreign language other than only Turkish in order to communicate better with the guests.

The front desk staff at night were very helpful. The men spoke English which was a plus.

1. Rooms are small. 2. The breakfast staff were attacking our table to clean up while we were still eating. They decided it was time to remove our plates even though there was still food or drink left. They don't speak English either. We did not feel comfortable at all. They need to chill a little!! You don't dare to go back to the buffet because you know the breakfast staff will remove your half-drunk coffee cup and clear up your table in the meantime and another family will take your table. This is not good service, it feels uncomfortable as if you are watched and your space is intruded.

IBOS IS A BRAND NEW HOTEL AT A VERY CENTRAL AND NICE LOCATION IN IZMIR. IT IS VERY CONVENIENT TO GO EVERYWHERE IN TOWN MOSTLY ON FOOT AND THE BUS STOP FROM AIRPORT IS LITERALLY IN FRONT OF THE HOTEL. ROOMS ARE OF A VERY MODERN STYLE , BIG, WITH COMFORTABLE BEDS AND ALL THE AMENITIES YOU FIND IN A FIVE STAR HOTEL. BATHROOM IS BIG, MODERN WITH SHOWER. BREAKFAST WAS VERY GOOD. BUT THE REAL ASSET OF THE HOTEL IS THE STAFF. AT RECEPTION MRS BURCUN EXCEEDED HER SELF TO ANSWER ALL OF OUR QUESTIONS READY TO HELP US ALWAYS SMILING . THE SAME APPLIES TO MR HALIL AND THE MANAGER MR SAMET WHO HELPED US WITH OUR RESERVATION. CLEANING LADY ALSO WAS VERY EFFECIENT . ALL OF THEM SPOKE VERY GOOD ENGLISH WHICH ISNT SO COMMON IN TURKEY. CONGRATS TO THE STAFF. IN YOUR NEXT STAY IN IZMIR DONT HESITATE TO BOOK THERE.

Great location and a short walk from the markets, restaurants and transport. The staff is awesome and they go the extra mile. Would recommend this no frills and comfortable place when in Izmir.

I found it odd that the temperature control for the rooms is also contral. While there is an AC one cannot control the temperature. The staff were understanding and moved me to a room where I could just open the window to balance the heat.
