nice friendly pub , staff and locals very pleasant, did not eat here but looking at others food orders it looked very nice. wide range of lagers and ales a bit pricey but i am used to Wetherspoons in Newcastle upon tyne .room was clean and bed comfortable. large bathroom with large shower cubicle.

pub inside and out could do with a little freshening up of paint works and window repairs / renewal. but i understand this is very costly so probably a little at a time. would still stay here again

Clean, comfortable, and the staff were absolutely brilliant. Food at the inn was also fabulous.

No step free access to the rooms for mobility challenged customers- understandable given the size of the place, and it was noted in the description. Controls for the shower didn't operate as I expected - user error due to looking like a system I was used to back home in Oz, but not functioning the same.

That I could arrive late, and leave early, had coffee making facilities in the room. A large bathroom and comfortable bed.

It was a hot night so had all the windows open, so could hear people chatting loudly outside, and was on quite a busy road with cars passing late into the night. I dont think this would have been an issue normally

The Rising Sun is just the kind of place I like to stay. A well run pub that is clearly well liked in the area. My room was pleasant, clean and the beds comfortable. There was enough room to do my yoga, a full length mirror and bedside lamps. The bathroom was spacious and the shower good. The food was good, both dinner and breakfast and the staff were lovely and accommodating.

No much to be honest, there was no hairdryer and the stool for the dressing table was a little precarious, but other than that, everything was great.

Very welcoming, excellent and very polite bar Man, if you get the chance bye Alex a drink and we wish him all the success at university, We will be back here again I'm sure 😁

The difficult access to up stairs,, but understandable has it's an village pub and lifts weren't around in the 1700 hundreds so Al is forgiven.

Breakfast was excellent, the room was good and a good shower pressure

Only the Wi-Fi not working Saturday evening, but not a huge deal as the tv was working and I was only stage one night, and bed was on the firm side

Accommodation at the pub was basic but very clean and comfortable with a large shower room. The owners and staff were very accommodating, helpful and lovely. The meals and atmosphere in the dining room were exceptional. The location was perfect for a trip to Winchester and the ancient farm. The country side was beautiful.

The room was excellent, quite a big bathroom. Tea and coffee facilities, no biscuits though. Staff were pleasant and helpful and knowledgeable with the area. Car park was a reasonable size and free parking.

The only thing is that neighbour guest liked to close their door rather noicely. I would have liked to see one or two biscuits with the tea facilities.

the staff behind the bar were really nice, the breakfast in the morning was lovely, made even better when I said I wouldn’t have toast as I’m gluten intolerant. they offered me a gluten free bun and then went to look at all other ingredients, about 30 minutes later our breakfast eventually turned up as the manager realised that the sausages they had were not gluten free so he popped home to get a couple from his own fridge that were… top effort. so impressed. thank you will be definitely back.

Bike friendly, we were able to store our cycles in secured area. Reasonable priced restaurant and food was good. Ample parking available and shops nearby.

Breakfast timings were a little restrictive but the food was excellent
