The building, facilities, location were all great, and also the staff we met were friendly and pleasant. I asked for a comfortable chair in the bedroom and one was put in for us. Very clean.
The directions to find it were difficult - especially the parking. The emailed map directions were fuzzy and the ones texted were tiny on the phone - the option to email again to print off not possible as we were already away. Satnav brought us to the front door ok, but then finding the car parking was a lottery. Would have been helpful to know that the carparks interlink so we could have gone in another carpark we drove past twice and still found it. Key pad for the front was also weird - next door, and then find your way round to the back. Would have been much better to have been welcomed and spoken to.

Centrally located with free parking - a real bonus . Lovely staff and a top notch breakfast each day 👌 An elegantly furnished house with other communal rooms to relax in if you wished with a TV and books galore to dip into . Practically next door to the Pallant House Gallery and a very short stroll into the town itself. This meant we could explore in the morning and come back to our room to refresh and be ready to take on more in the afternoon / evening . We very much enjoyed our 3 night stay . Many thanks to Rebbeca and lovely staff x

Beautiful house. Quiet and very comfortable. Lovely big room. Very central. Lots of rooms in the house to use and lovely garden. Breakfast was excellent. So very quiet and comfortable.
I would suggest that when instructions sent in access to the property photos are enclosed to show the entrance and access doors. I found it confusing finding how to access the house. Especially after entering through the first door I walked around the back of the house before realising that the second door was through the passageway and turn right into the back entrance of the house.

We loved staying in a historic place moments from everything. Our room (4) period spacious room with generous provisions - nice teas, coffee, sustainable bathroom products, water and a super-king comfy bed with good linen. We loved the 'historic home' features and information in the interesting common areas, this is a building furnished in sympathetic style, warm and clean. The staff were charming - Breakfast - ideal with good conversation around an incredible period breakfast table. Great communication/accommodation of early parking needs. Opening windows!
Nothing - Tips Parking - you need to read the instructions carefully to find it, be patient if you do it's easy. Front access to house is via a key coded side door, the instructions for the ensuing corridor access could be clearer, go right before the final door using the green open button to the parking/garden where you use a 2nd key code to open the green back door. The period doors both require two hands on the key lock box & door handle and a gentle shove to open them, this may be a weather related phenomenon but check you are OK with it before heading out as we did. Garden furniture area needs a refresh to be appealing; rare benefit of good open outside city space to have a glass of BYO wine!.

Great location. Excellent breakfast choices. Comfortable beds.
The parking spot was directly under a tree and the first morning we found our car covered in huge amounts of thick brown sticky bird poo. It took half an hour to clean the windscreen before we could even set off. We then needed to go through car wash twice upon leaving. There should have been a warning about this possibility and the option to avoid this and pay to park in public space nearby. If we had been in a rush to get somewhere and/or had a soft top car we would have been even less impressed! The front door to the house was also not in use which made going to and returning to the property less convenient from the town centre

I loved this place. The breakfast situation is a bit weird (you all eat around a big table with the other guests), but the actual room was lovely and very comfy bed. It's all very faded glamour - a big family house converted into rooms, but with beautiful old features everywhere and lots of photos.
The parking situation was a bit awkward - we tried to find out if we could both park (we had two cars) but no one answered our message. And the breakfast was pretty standard and not great for non meat eaters. There's no one there at all - you basically arrive and let yourself into your room without ever meeting anyone.

Loved the ambiance of the building and rooms. The location could not be better, quiet, yet right in the centre of Chichester. Slept very well on a very comfortable bed with comfortable pillows too - thank you.
A difficult one as it is an old building and I know they take a lot of up-keep. This is not a complaint, but it is tired and it would have been nice to have a shower. Saying this, I loved the character of the place and the bath was wonderful; a fantastically large bathroom with a deep, deep bath. Really, not a complaint at all, just observational as you have asked.

Splendid bath and excellent breakfast
The procedure for gaining access which was tortuous. I needed help to get through the second keypad and to get the key to my room to function from the workmen who happened to be there - if there hadn't been anyone there I wouldn't have got in, and leaving my case to collect (I arrived on foot) was also a hassle. The back door needs a light over it to be able to see the numbers on the keypad - juggling with a phone, a latch and a door handle requires 3 hands which I don't have!

we were so pleased with the location as we could walk to all the attractions. It was also so quiet - wonderful for such a central location. There is parking on site. We enjoyed sharing a table with other guests for breakfast. Lovely to hear where others had come from.
Perhaps a greater choice of breakfast for a vegetarian? However there was a limited choice that I enjoyed and my partner loved his small full English (there is a choice of small or normal)

The location was fantastic, just a five-minute walk from the town. I could not fault the staff they were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was large and had everything you needed, there was a great choice for breakfast, both continental and cooked served in a lovely old dining room.
I do not want to find fault with this B&B, but just give feedback. To get into the property you have to enter a code on the side door which takes you through an alleyway and leads you to the back of the house where you enter another code to get in . As it was dark when we arrived we needed a torch to be able to see the keypad. Maybe a light above the keypad would be helpful.
