The accommodation was provided in a lovely aesthetically pleasing country style house. We saw two deer at the house as we arrived which set the tone. The stairway was particularly noteworthy, but the lounge and dining area were beautiful rooms from another era. Breakfast was excellent and even better to enjoy in sumptuous surroundings. Our bathroom was a surprise being a yellow suite with matching tiling, but it was in perfect order and spotlessly clean. Our room had everything we needed and the quality of the bedding meant we had a very comfortable night's sleep.

Only one small thing, the entrance! It seemed a bit austere and unwelcoming, perhaps some plants or flowers or welcome notice for guests, although there was a bell to ring, or tel. no. to call for entry.

The location was lovely but it took us nearly 4 hours to find it as we had no Sat Nav.! But having found our destination it was great and the breakfast was fantastic as it reminded me of our house when growing up! What a table and the eggs were just as they should be - thank you.

There was nothing that could have been better except our reason for being there as it was to attend my sister's funeral at the Oaks - it was a lovely place to come back to and relax.

A beautiful country house with period furnishings, the room was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. We had lovely views across the surrounding countryside. There was a variety of options for breakfast, all freshly prepared and delicious. I recommend the cooked breakfast.

There was a problem with our shower but it didn't spoil our overnight stay.

The location was wonderful, the accomodations were inviting and comfortable, the grounds were beautiful, breakfast was scrumptious and the hosts (Viv, Anna, Ian & Roz) were the BEST...they couldn't have been more accommodating. Hollybank House will hold a special place in our travel memories.

This is an absolutely gorgeous and beautifully maintained property and it was a privilege to be allowed to stay in such a historic building. Hollybank House has been owned by three generations of the Williams family who made us and our two rather unruly dogs feel most welcome and comfortable. The suite we stayed in is spacious and overlooks the extensive garden. We requested a tax invoice from them many months after our stay, and they sent it to us without any delay.

Absolutely gorgoues property. A real grand old lady of a building and the gardens stunning. While sitting on the garden I met a beautiful baby red deer who just stood and looked at me. Apparently 4 deer live in their gardens. Very tranquil and serene.

A lovely grand old house in beautiful grounds. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast lovely. All the people were very nice and extremely helpful. I would definitely stay again a lovely peaceful place to spend a weekend.

Very friendly welcome and this continued with every family member we met. Delightful house and gardens, peaceful environment and comfortable bed Wish that we had booked to stay longer!

Breakfast bacon was slightly over done but the rest of the breakfast was great.

Beautiful house and setting, family run, a truly wonderful set up. Incredibly well hosted. It’s a gem. We would love to go back but consider ourselves very fortunate to have managed to get a room, we imagine it gets quickly booked up. Thank you for your generous hospitality and warmth.

The authenticity. Great old house with matching furniture - even the breakfast china and silver cutlery is antique. The hosts are very nice and attentive. Breakfast was great! Beds were comfortable. Rooms are spacious.
