As soon as you walk into the hotel you notice how bright and welcoming the property is. It also helps smelling fresh coffee from the Starbucks to the right of the reception. It has a well laid out bar on the left side of the the reception which is also where breakfast is served. The room we stayed in was a club room which had plenty of space and was very clean, after being out all day getting into the room and jumping in the fantastic shower was great. Once settled and dry the rest in the, I would say king sized bed, was super comfy and also had plenty of plump pillows which was a pleasant surprise. We got up for 7am a went to gym before breakfast where we were greeted by very helpful staff. The gym itself was large and filled with lots of modern equipment. We went for breakfast around 9 and again the staff were super helpful and friendly. The breakfast itself was very tasty with a large selection of fruits, meats pastries and so on. The overall experience was fantastic, the hotel staff were very helpful friendly and really could not do enough for you. This has to be one of my favourite hotels.

The room was very nice, if somewhat compact. Very clean and shower very nice. The bar was very busy, but Staff were efficient and food was fresh, albeit small portions. Breakfast was tasty and We used the Gym which was well equipped, but pretty busy.

We attended a Wedding and the function rooms were perfect, but there wasn't any "gardens" per say for nice photos. Bedroom was quite small & compact. Bar Staff didn't engage and I saw one male member of Bar Staff at the Wedding, gesticulate by making a gun out of his hand and putting it to his temple, as if he was bored, whilst looking at the Security Guard. (He clearly wasn't enjoying his work).

Room was fantastic, very clean and had all what I needed. The shower was a whole other level, I did not expect having the most amazing shower that I didn't want to get out of. so powerful, clean. The BEST shower I have ever had in a hotel. Extremely comfy bed that was massive, two pillows each. Just great. defo recommend. Oh and the breakfast was great LOTS of choice.

Had to ask for another towel as only one in the room. However staff were on hand and got us one straight away. Check in machine wouldn't find our booking, Again extremely helpful, friendly staff on hand to sort this.

We had booked a taxi to take us to the ferry port in the morning to catch the early morning ferry. The taxi was pre-booked with a local taxi company, which I believe has a monopoly in Portsmouth. We were told in the morning that no taxies were available. The gentleman on reception had seen that we were running late, and he pre-empted me, by calling the company. Unfortunately there was nothing he could do, so we had to phone our Son on a BH Monday to get out of bed and pick us up. This is by no way criticism of the staff who were extremely helpful. Not sure if the Hotel can offer a different service for customers who are reliant on Public transport. Shame on Aqua cars for their poor service. They used to be so good.

The hotel friendly couldn't have been more friendly, polite and accommodating. The facilities were good. Breakfast was nice, although a little cold the first morning but we went earlier the second morning and it was tastier, fresher and hotter. The pool was lovely and very clean, with lifeguard. The room was well equipped including a large TV, hairdryer, iron and plenty of tea and coffee to make. The staff were really polite and friendly. I had an issue with booking and a lovely lady called and sorted it all out for me. The reception staff were always friendly and helpful. The gym staff, restaurant staff and housekeeping were all really lovely, helpful and good with my child.

As mentioned above the breakfast was a bit cooler on the morning we went later but could have been a one off.

A lot of light filtering into room unfortunately, which made it difficult to sleep (in a very comfortable bed) Noisy at night from outside works/port sounds, which made it difficult to sleep (in a very comfortable bed) Quite bit out of the way Gym, pool, sauna etc were extremely busy Slightly overpriced considering the negative factors. £114 per night with breakfast; personally believe it should be under the £100 mark.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The modern comfort room was a delight, featuring a great large shower that I absolutely loved. The double bed was both large and exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The room also had all the necessary facilities required for a pleasant stay. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable experience!

While my stay at the hotel was pleasant overall, there were a few downsides. The hotel rooms are quite small, so be prepared to feel compact. The TV could use an upgrade to include Netflix and other modern apps commonly used. Additionally, a minibar/fridge would be nice to have, though it's understandable given the limited space.

IF THERE WERE MORE PLUG SOCKETS IN THE ROOM NEXT TO THE BED. I HAD ISSUES WITH PLUGGING A SLEEP APNEA MACHINE, AND TRYING TO CHARGE PHONE AND WATCH UP. THE USB BY THE BED, WAS A SLOW CHARGER FOR MY PHONE, WHICH MEANT IT WASN'T COMPLETELY CHARGED WHEN I HAD TO LEAVE. MY MACHINE PLUG HAD TO BE TRAILLED ACROSS THE TABLE TO THE FIRST BED SO I COULD USE IT. THE PLUG SOCKETS FOR THE LAMPS WHERE DIFFERENT SO UNABLE TO UTILISE. NEXT TIME I WILL HAVE TO ASK FOR AN EXTENSION LEAD TO ENSURE USE OF MACHINE AND ENSURING THAT MY PHONE IS FULLY CHARGE FOR THE FOLLOWING DAY.

We really enjoyed our stay. Pros: Very comfortable beds. Clean bathroom with a window. Pub was great. Burgers are amazing. Starbucks had several sandwiches, wraps, bagels and a delicious variety of muffins, brownies and cookies. Lots of things to do and events and live music. Staff were very friendly, efficient and knew the area well. Overall great place to stay. Highly recommended. Cons: Small rooms, expensive food.

Small room, no closet, glass between bathroom and bedroom.

Room for a one night stay spacious enough as travelling light with small amount of luggage. Breakfast was an ample choice for buffet very pleased with the offer of fried or poached eggs available too. Bathroom refreshingly modern with large walk in shower. The bed was comfortable and linen of quality and overall room, hotel and bar and restaurant clean in all public areas Our greatest comfort was the on site parking and extending our parking whilst sailing from Portsmouth leaving our car safe and secure with you.

Only natural light was in the bathroom but did not spoil our experience as amply lighting and lamps in the bedroom area
