Great stay. Bedroom and hotel very clean and staff very friendly. Handy location.

Shame about the parking charge. £12 per night which was more than expected.

Good basic room for a nights stay before our cruise. Location is good, it's only a 5 min drive from the main cruise terminals (Ocean, Mayflower, etc.) and you have various restaurants nearby, and a Poundland over the road for cheap munchies to take on the ship 😊 They do a stay and cruise offering where you can leave your car there while on your cruise... woth a look if you want something cheaper than CPS but bear in mind it's not secure like CPS (it's a public car park, not fenced off or anything)

Only gripe was the beds were a bit too firm for me, gave me some backache through the night. £10 per night car parking too... which is discounted for hotel guests from the normal £12.50 but still something to factor in to the price.

I am stayed at this hotel annually for the past few years. This year, in particular the breakfast was excellent, the staff immaculately turned out and polite. There appears to be a lady that was possibly a manager that visited the dining area, although I didn't think it her job, she helped clear the dirty plates and cutlery away. The young lady working at reception doubled up at breakfast and she was extremely efficient, likewise her attire and general appearance. These two staff appearance was more akin to a 5 star hotel. I think Ibis are very lucky to have these people involved in the hotel and I would imagine they will progress within the business before they are headhunted.

All was okay and acceptable for a hotel of this standard and rates. The room decor would benefit from an upgrade, likewise the small TV (replaced with a bigger screen). I wouldn't say that I "didn't like"

Great location for the cruise terminal. Arriving the day before the cruise took the stress out of the journey and have us the opportunity to explore a bit of Southampton which was like adding an extra port on to our cruise. The room was clean and comfortable. Didn't add on the breakfast as we knew we were getting a good meal as soon as we boarded our ship, but it's good to know it was available if needed.

Not really a dislike but we were informed on the afternoon of arrival that the hot water system wasn't working and probably wouldn't be fixed until the next day so showers would only be lukewarm. Didn't really bother us as we just left it until boarding our ship. The hotel did kindly compensate us with free parking which was good.

Location excellent for our cruise and was able to park for the duration of cruise so I could park the car and not worry about moving it the morning of embarkation.

Breakfast was OK, not exceptional. Info in room said breakfast was from 6.30am but it's 7am. Cleaner was mopping floor in reception / restaurant. Chef slipped and fell to floor with tray of eggs.. Hope he's OK? Perhaps cleaning should take place a little earlier to give more time to dry? Gluten free limited, however staff member obtained gluten free bread from the sister hotel next door for my wife which was kind. The room was comfortable and clean, as expected.. However, the fan / vent was noisey so I turned it off overnight. Overall, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Thank you.

The breakfast was very good and of a fairly good quality. There were a couple of things that were slow on topping up. The white bread for the toaster and the butter. The selection of food on offer was good.the eggs, hash brown, beans and bacon and cold selection good. The sausage I had looked and taster similar to a frankfurter, not nice, however I noticed a while later that a better looking quality sausage came out.

I found the email I received asking me to confirm I’m coming to the hotel from someone called Jacqui to be lacking a welcome touch. It would have been nice if it started, “we are looking forward to welcoming you here” etc etc It didn’t. The rooms were hot at night so had to open the windows, quite a bit of traffic through the night resulting in a slightly disturbed sleep. Having a cooling system working would be better.

My misses and I stay here alot just to relax and defrag from daily life for 24hrs. The staff are always nice and friendly and always happy to help. The hotel is always well presented and clean and has a nice, relaxing atmosphere. Rooms are always spotless and well cleaned and prepped.

Only once in all the time we have stayed over the 6/7yrs we've been staying here has there ever been a problem. (Hot water system broke down) That's it

+ I'm experienced guest of this hotel for last 10 years. In 2022 they employed Ukrainian staff who was absolutely irritatedly rude to any request, like to bring cutlery to the breakfast hall and so on, but currently hotel has rearranged the staff and now staff is absolutely brilliant all around including in-stay questions, breakfast service and place-around advice. + Rooms and bath-rooms are big enough and space arranged smartly. + Sound-proofing is ideal !!!! (if to close the window) + Bed and beddings are comfortable.

We had a twin bedded room, space was tight but we were only staying one night before we caught a ferry. We slept really well. It was quiet, comfortable beds and there was a black out curtain. Shower over the bath was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Tea and coffee facility in the room. We walked to old town for a meal, about half an hour away. We enjoyed the walk after a day of travelling in the car. We used Mac Donald’s next door for breakfast because we thought the hotel was expensive.

The car park charge is £10 for 24 Hrs but the hotel price is cheap so it wasn’t bad really and at least the car was safe. Bathroom sink was cracked. Air conditioning wasn’t up to much.

The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. The location for the cruise terminal was excellent. The staff were helpful and polite at all times.

There were some noisy/drunken customers in the outside area. We were tired from travelling and didn't really want to hear them. The doors were left open in the restaurant area so it was impossible to avoid seeing and hearing them.
