Comfortable, very clean room with a large bathroom. There is also a small but romantic balcony with a very nice view. Very good breakfast (buffet). The guesthouse staff is nice. The guesthouse is located in the very center of the city, but in a side street. Thanks to this, you don't have to look at the crowds of tourists and it is quiet. There is a restaurant in the guesthouse. In my opinion it has good food at a better price than other restaurants. To enjoy your visit to this city, you need to live there for a while - two or more days. The city is cool and has a nice atmosphere only in the morning and evening. From about 10 a.m. what you don't want begins... Thousands of tourists... But you can organize interesting trips to various places and enjoy the city in the evening. When I arrived, I wanted to run away, but I had a guesthouse reservation! But in the evening I enjoyed the city and the guesthouse, which I recommend...

Huge room on the top floor with two balconies and partial view of the lake. The view was spectacular and unexpected. Exceptionally clean. A perfect sunny space to do my yoga. Very central location and lots of signage pointing the way, so easy to find. Interesting staff...check in was quick and efficient. The older lady with the glasses is an interesting and somewhat intimidating character. At breakfast day one she was very stern. I asked if there was gluten free bread and she mumbled something in German that I took as a no. She was a bit scary! Then on day 2 I came down to breakfast and she actually smiled at me and there was a basket on my table with gluten free bread rolls! Do make sure you sit at the table that has your room number!

Nothing I didn't like, you just have to be prepared for the quirky staff.

The location was excellent , nice big room and comfy beds also very clean

The hotel is a good 12/14 minute walk away from the property, there is a free shuttle bus which is good , parking cost is €34 for 2 nights. The lady who served breakfast is not very friendly , our breakfast was included which was nice , but we didn’t have a choice of eggs you got what ever was on that day either boiled or fried , my husband asked for one more coffee one morning and the lady said that will cost €3 and to her word she charged us €3 on our departure ! I think service is so important as we would not return to this hotel because of this !

Amazing location with amazing room and balcony. We just really loved how the room felt so cozy. Breakfast was great too, plenty of variety and just overall great.

A bit of a downside is that the staffs seemed to be so busy that they didn't really have the time to converse or even occupy the reception. The "receptionist" was the chef too so he was nowhere to be found sometimes. We also didn't know that restaurants here in Hallstatt were closed at 7 pm during winter! So to our surprise, we couldn't eat at the restaurant since they were already closed. So beware everyone :D

I had a really nice stay. I booked a half board stay and was happy to have both breakfast and dinner at the hotel. Dinner hours finished early but I was fine with that. Check in and check out were seamless. My room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was in a great location in the centre of Hallstatt but not along one of the busy touristy streets. I had read some of the reviews on this site and others about the hotel and I have to share I no issues with the staff - I was pleasantly greeted by everyone I encountered.

This is a minor point. The curtains do not provide much black out cover so the daylight shone through early and I had forgotten to pack an eye mask.

We hesitated a lot when we chose this guesthouse for our holiday in Hallstatt! We had read many good things about it in reviews and its location in the city center seemed to us to be a major advantage. However, both in the reviews on booking.com and from other sources (Google, Tripadvisor, RestaurantGuru etc.) serious problems with the staff were constantly reported by a very large number of tourists, especially about the lady who coordinates breakfast. Consequently, we went on this holiday with great fear of having negative experiences ourselves and determined to be careful not to make small mistakes that could lead to conflicts with the lady in question or with other members of the staff. Once we arrived, we noticed, first of all, that it was not one lady but two, who were present, by rotation, at breakfast. It is true that both ladies are very sober and cold, but, after all, we are talking about Austria, not Brazil. Having already been on vacation several times in Austria, we have found that well-being, order, cleanliness and all other good things that define this country are based on seriousness and temperance. As long as we were civilized and fair with our hosts, we did not have any incidents. Moreover, we managed to "rake" a few smiles from the two ladies (whom we want to greet on this way) several times. Otherwise, all other aspects of our accommodation were a 10. Perfect cleanliness, very good quality WI-FI, absolutely fabulous breakfast and a position in the city that could not be better. We liked the atmosphere so much that we decided to have dinner in the pension's restaurant every day, which was also a special experience. We highly recommend Weisses Lamm!

There is nothing we didn't like.

The suite was perfect - right on the lake, close to the main guesthouse and in the middle of town so finding things to see and do was easy. It was lively during the day with daytrippers and quiet at night. We got a wonderful night's sleep. The The suite got plenty of light. Check in and out was easy and it was a short walk to the ferry to catch our train. Breakfast was tasty, coffee and tea were also very good. The breakfast room was clean and nice, food was laid out so it was easy to find. There was a wide variety of foods to eat. Staff was professional, warm, and responsive. We had a great stay.

No complaints.

Spacious room with 2 balconies with nice partial lake views on one side. Very clean, convenient location and easy to get to many of the attractions. Friendly staff and a good breakfast spread.

Would have been great if a kettle is provided.

We had a 3 night stay here and it exceeded all our expectations! We had read several negative reviews, and so were slightly apprehensive, but needn’t have worried! The properly is well located, just a few minutes walk from everything in Hallstatt, and easy to find with signage to help. From checking in to leaving we found all staff to be pleasant and helpful. We arrived early for our 3pm check in, but were able to leave our bags and enjoy a drink in the restaurant area before going for a wander round Hallstatt. Breakfast was included in our stay which was enjoyable with plenty of choice. Our room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed, and serviced daily if required. For the price we paid we found it to be good value for money. We really couldn’t fault anything about our stay here, and would be happy to stay here agin if we returned to Hallstatt.

The large balcony with stunning lake views, the perfect location right in the middle of everything, how spacious everything is: huge and very modern bathroom, lovely kitchen area with lots of natural light, comfortable bed by large window with beautiful views, delicious breakfast!

The washing machine is in the basement and we had to share with other people, so we had to keep going back and forth because it was always being used, and there’s no dryer. But we managed to get two loads of laundry done and we used one of the large drying racks that were provided. We folded it and brought it to our room. So it was not a problem, but it would be nice if another washing machine was available.
