We were drawn in right from the start after drinking the refreshing welcome lemonade freshly squeezed using lemons from their orchard! Amazing location, cute hotel, beautiful cosy rooms, lovely selection of vegetarian food during breakfast. All the staff members were so lovely, kind and friendly and went above and beyond to make our visit to beautiful Cinque Terre a wonderful experience. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family in a heartbeat.

We noticed that the bathroom and room wasn't being cleaned thoroughly daily. However having said this, I've still given it a high rating to show that it wasn't bad at all, just that there's room for improvement.

The property is an excellent location and very well maintained. This property offers all of the conveniences of home. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the patio off our room. The breakfast was a beautiful spread and very delicious.

It was a little bit difficult to find the property after getting off the train. This is a very “green hotel”, which I totally appreciate, however, the towels were not replaced every day however they did not dry in between uses. A dry towel would’ve been nice. The beds were a little uncomfortable, but we were so tired from being busy that it was OK

We loved everything about our stay at Hotel Colonnina. From the moment we booked, the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. It really feels like a family-run hotel, with genuine care shown throughout. Having a reserved car park within walking distance made it so much easier to visit Cinque Terre by car. The hotel has a lovely layout with a peaceful garden, and our room was very comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic each morning – lots of choice and great coffee! Highly recommended.

The hotel is charming. The staff was over the top helpful with several things, really spending time with me as I figured out the train pass and also a dinner and taxi reservation. We were welcomed with really cold lemonade and a pastry while our check in was processing. Then, we had wine delivered to the room. Staff was amazing. The beds were typical Italian, I think, meaning a little firm and not so luxurious as American hotels can be. But, we would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

The bed and bedding could have been higher quality.

The owners kept in contact via email. As we were arriving late via train, they provided the platform/bin for our connection to ensure we would make our connection in La Spezia. They opened the door upon arrival and quickly showed us to our room. The room was amazing and included it’s own private terrace! The following morning, we enjoyed a plentiful and sumptuous breakfast before the front desk staff assisted us with discount Cinque Terre train/hiking passes.

Hotel La Colonnina exceeded our expectations. It was located in a quiet street within the Old Town of Monterosso. We were greeted with a cool lemon drink and a piece of lemon cake on our arrival and sat peacefully in the sweet garden. Our room was gorgeous, quiet and cool. Breakfast amazing, staff so very helpful and location perfect. The train was close by, restaurants fabulous, beaches glorious and walking tracks amazing. ❤️❤️ A hidden gem.

I liked the hotel staff and owner. Location was also very convenient.

Room was very damp even with heater on, toilet seat was broken, pillows were flat and hard some fluff or additional pillows would be a good hotel standard, and customers would be more comfortable. A bottle of water would also be welcome per room. Bed was also hard and felt always damp. Don’t get me wrong it’s a great hotel, Monterosso according to me is the best city of the Cinque Terre region.

The hotel is located in the heart of Monterosso, close to everything, you will feel a touch of the past, but in a very pleasant way, very friendly and helpful staff will help you with parking, tickets for the national park, hiking pats and the train and offer you a sweet welcome. The location is excellent, the place is beautiful. Breakfast typical for 3 star hotels but enough. Recommended when visiting Cinqe terre.

Fantastic hotel, location and service. Staff were professional, friendly and accommodating; they went above and beyond. Location was central, though a bit hard to find at first. Breakfast was such a treat. Rooftop and reception terraces were lovely.

The doors don’t have a soft-close feature so we heard lots of slamming. When trying to find the hotel, use Google Maps (not Apple Maps app, those directions don’t work), and look for the sandwich board near the kid’s park. We got lost but those things helped.

Angelina was so welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We received fresh squeezed lemonade and appl tart on arrival while she processed our registration. She called and made a reservation for us at 28 Posti Monterossa and then walked us there so we would have no trouble finding it. Loved having some red wine and snacks on the rooftop terrace at the end of the day. Finally, the breakfast was excellent with a larger variety of itmes.

They key was a little heavy to carry around.
