Me and my sister chose to stay there to get away for the weekend and the hotel is pretty much in the centre of everything. We were a bit skeptical about the bathroom not being attached to the room but the location we had on the first floor was awesome. It meant that later on in the night it was actually easier and more comfortable just to use our own personal bathroom upstairs. We had a blast. The staff were so friendly and fun they are a credit to that bar! They kept the margarita's flowing and we will defs be back to stay again. Thanks to the team at the FED!
The sore tummy and sore head I had the next day! Totally self inflicted though. A short walk over to the markets for a feed sorted us out.

Location. From the train station walk up Market, turn left on High then right on Williams. 5 minutes! Oliver, cheerfully stored my luggage in their dedicated area to do so. Upon check in, My osteoarthritic knees ached. Liam, one of the managers carried my luggage to the penthouse room 9. The high ceilings, big window and super comfortable bed were inviting. Liam asked “would you like something to drink?” I ordered a jug of ice to complement the water bottles placed in the room and a bottle of red. Liam delivered both compliments of the house! There are two full, spacious bathrooms on the same private, carpeted hallway which are immaculate. Each guest receives 4 pieces of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel with 3 towels. The bathmats in the bathroom are pearl white and the hot water is near boiling. Not a speck or spot of mould as Hannah bleaches everything daily! World class best value in Western Australia
Nothing. Live plants and living foliage decorate the foyer and atrium that engulf the downstairs bar and restaurant. This is a go to place for locals for the Tuesday night bingo

The location was amazing, right in the heart of Fremantle and easy walking distance to a everywhere we wanted. We were able to easily walk to the harbor to go to Rottnest for a day while the hotel held our bags. The hotel is very cool, and the restaurant area downstairs is very vibey, we would have loved to be able to spend more time there. Overall the room was what we expected, the bed was comfortable, and the place was clean.
Only complaint would be the thin walls allowing for a lot of sound to travel inside. We were awoken very early by some commotion happening outside on the street even though our window was closed.

The room was large, the bathroom small and unrenovated but adequate. We had the tea room/Kitchen right next door to our room which was a bonus as there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. The guest areas were also lovely. Front veranda of the property and various sitting areas throughout the guest accommodation area.
The bathroom was a bit tight. We were there for 5 days and the rooms are not serviced at all however the housekeeper was fabulous and more than happy to replace towels on request.

A very well managed property with staff who understand every intrinsic detail of stupendous customer service. Situated only a 5 minute walk from the train station in the heart of Fremantle this iconic landmark is a sparkling testimonial to great value for money sequestered in an epicurean atmosphere where you will stay on longer than anticipated and return again….I did!
Leaving! Great vibes, nice music, quiet, carpeted rooms that are so well ventilated and sparking linens and a set of 3 towels with individual toiletries. Maddy co manages the operation and Jasmine ensures not a speck of dust or mould ever greets you in their avant garde accommodation sector. Rooms 1-3 are a level up or you can go for rooms 4-14? at the penthouse level. Each 3 rooms are situated on a private, well ventilated hallway with the most intimate shared facilities I saw in a lifetime. I returned to the Federal because they have everything at super reasonable prices. This is a 4.5 star hotel with world class service

Staff were really helpful, great location.
The room was cold and there was no heater. I asked for extra blankets which were provided. Unfortunately because the door out to the balcony had to be kept open the cold air could get in underneath the door to my room (room 7). A heater or draft excluder would have helped. It's not made clear when you book that there is no heating option.

The room was spacious and clean, well furnished with most boxes ticked. The communal guest kitchen was a little down grade as I prefer to make tea and coffee in my room and not get dressed to use a commercial space. The bathroom had all that was required, although very compact. That said, nothing was missing or unusable. All things considered, this is a very competitively priced and perfectly centrally positioned place to stay. I would definitely use it again and recommend it without reservation
Small bathroom and no in room tea and coffee facilities

Location was great, staff were fantastic. I was worried about the noise but sunday night was fine with earplugs in. I would come back and stay here in a heat beat. The shared bathroom was nice - roomy and lockable for one person at a time only.
There was a TV in the room but the power cord didn't reach any powerpoints? The wifi also didn't seem to reach my room. I wasn't too bothered tho.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had a great studio apartment - New York loft style. While upstairs above a pub, we weren't disturbed by excessive noise and didn't need to adjust volumes to speak. Our room wasnt quite ready when we arrived and staff provided a drink in the bar and a dinner gift voucher while we waited. Couldnt have been nicer
I dont know that there was anything we didnt like??

Had an amazing 2 night stay at this clean, vibrant hotel. I cannot praise the staff enough for going above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Big shout out to manager Liam and bar staff that made My stay extra special. After being locked out of My room for 1.5 hours early Thursday morning due to a key malfunction, they went the extra mile to make me smile again, as I have anxiety which made the situation very stressful for me. Checking up on me through the day and a lovely meal on the house for me and my daughter speaks volumes of the exceptional customer service Liam and staff have in spades. They are a credit to this business, I will most definitely be back very soon. Not for the delicious food, or the comfortable rooms, not even the prime location. Purely to have such amazing staff making sure I have the best experience I can. Thanks guys you made my week. 10 out of 10 ☺️
Getting locked out of my room. And the lack of an after hours number. I had to wait till staff arrived at 9am.
