The location is excellent, just three blocks from the main plaza (Parque Central) and close to numerous restaurants and coffee shops. For those seeking a more local experience, the Mercado Central is just three to four blocks away. The atmosphere is relaxing, with a well-maintained tropical garden and amazing hammocks. Additionally, the view of the Agua and Fuego Volcanoes from upstairs is stunning.

Smoking was allowed in common areas like the garden, which was disturbing. The included breakfast had limited options; it was Instagrammable but definitely not tasty.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ojala. The Hotel is very quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The location couldnt be better (in the center, close to the market, the churches, good restaurants…). The yard and garden and the places to sit are great, so is the café/bar. The breakfast was delicious(the coffee not but you can order a nice cappuccino in the hotel café (extra cost but so worth it). We came back to Ojala after some days in El Paredon and spent the afternoon in Antigua before we went to the airport, we asked if we could let our backpacks there and it was no problem, which was great! 👍🏽

Beautiful nature gardens. Really relaxed with lots of places to Relaxe and unwind.

Their water is almost not purified, which made me very sick. When I mentioned this to the receptionist boy, he didn’t apologize or anything. When I asked for a towel, because I was all sweaty all night he asked me multiple times to pay for it. He couldn’t speak English. I even wrote a whole paragraph in Google Translate, where he just looked once at and said “Okay”. I thought he understood, but then he asked me how I wanted to pay. I got mad at him for not even reading the message. Just stupid.

I loved how beautifully restored the boutique hotel is, full of style and character. The atmosphere is lively yet welcoming, and the location couldn’t be better, just steps away from Antigua’s main sights. The staff were incredibly nice and accommodating, always ready to help. Breakfast was excellent, and the coffee shop within the property was a great bonus.

The rooms were very simple, almost too minimal, and quite basic in terms of amenities. A few extra comforts would have made the stay more enjoyable. Since the property also includes a hostel, the breakfast area and common spaces sometimes felt a bit overcrowded.

The hotel is very centrally located. Very close to main park. Lots of coffee shops, smoothie shops, spas and restaurants within walking distance. It has a serene courtyard- actually two of them- with hammocks, comfy chairs. A cute little bar/coffee shop is also available. Extremely clean rooms and common areas. Incredibly friendly staff.

The walls were a bit thin but it was quiet after about 10:00 pm. And who can complain about hearing people laugh and have fun anyway?? A small drawback in my opinion!

Ojala was a perfect first stop for our trip around Guatemala. It's very central with lots of lovely bars, restaurants and cafes close by. The place itself is beautiful. Everyone there is so hard working and it shows in how well kept everything is. Very charming with beautiful courtyards and terraces. The breakfasts were also delicious! We also found the staff to be really helpful in helping us plan our travel to Lake Atitlan, we asked the day before we left and they had us booked onto a shuttle no problem. Thanks for such a wonderful stay!

Unfortunately our bed was quite rickety so it wasn't the most comfortable night's sleep, but we were only staying a couple of nights so it was no real problem.

Breakfast was decent, but what I liked were the beds and sheets. Some of the most comfortable nights I slept. They were very accommodating, they prefer cash but are able to accommodate credit cards for a % fee. The staff was amazing, they helped me book a late transfer for 350 Quetzales, I arrived close to midnight alone so that was the safest option since it was my first time in Guate. If you leave early for a hike or check out early, they can prepare a breakfast in advance, it's just a healthy yogurt with chia seeds, coconut, etc but it was nice. Please let them know in advance night before.

That there were only two showers and no soaps/shampoos, but the wait wasn't terribly long.

Super clean hostel with brilliant breakfast and great staff. This place is so clean, staff seem to constantly be cleaning common areas. Beds are very comfy with super thick mattress and in 4 bed dorm have private curtains on each bed, private electric socket and lamp. Beautiful gardens and really good breakfast included. Location is also great with many things in walking distance to the hostel.

More bathrooms would be ideal. The option for same sex dorms would be preferable as I was woken by a guy pleasuring himself! I know thats not the hostels fault, but I would've preferred female only dorm.

The hotel is beautiful, in an ideal location with lush garden courtyards and chic design choices. The room was on the ‘cozy’ side, but the bed was comfortable and cool with a lovely view of the volcano, and the bathroom had a fantastic rain shower with great water pressure which is always a win. Breakfast was provided as part of our booking, and we were given the choice of 3 options - a granola bowl, scrambled eggs with frijoles & tortillas, or banana pancakes. We only stayed the one night, but can happily say that the eggs and pancakes were both delicious and served promptly. The hotel had a storage room (with cameras) for luggage post-check out which was handy, and they also had various tours and shuttle bus info and booking assistance available at reception. All in all, a fantastic stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommended.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I stayed at Ojalá for two nights and wished I could have stayed longer! This was my third visit to Antigua, and after trying several hostels, I can confidently say that Ojalá is the best. If you’re looking for a beautiful, clean, and quiet place, this is it. Unlike some other hostels, it’s not a party spot, making it perfect for a relaxing stay. The breakfast, included in the price, exceeded my expectations—especially the banana pancakes! They also offer an onsite laundry service for a small fee, which is very convenient, as well as tour and shuttle services to make travel easy. The staff is incredibly friendly, and I highly recommend this place!
