The room set-up and decor was probably one of the best we've stayed in. Plenty of room to spread out with two teenagers. A full length mirror outside the bathroom was very useful. The beds were comfortable. The size of the fridge was convenient. Very quiet place to stay. We would definitely stay here again.

There was trash inside our ice bucket. We were unable to use the pool and hot tub because we didn't get back from shopping until after it closed. It would be nice if they could extend the hours until 10pm. The following aren't necessary but would be helpful: list of TV channels, paper and pen, list of places nearby to eat or order takeout, and something with the address on it when placing takeout delivery orders.

I was a little skeptical about this place after reading some bad reviews. But to my surprise, I had a great stay. The room was spacious and clean. However, there is no daily housekeeping. If you need fresh towels, you will have to call the front desk. There is free wifi in the room and the inn is near restaurants and there is a Walmart within 5 min drive. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They are available from 8 am -8 pm and if you need them outside these hours, there is an emergency contact number posted on their front door.

The room was located in the back section on the second floor-- we liked having a balcony though it was a little cold to sit out and use it. We enjoyed being away from the road as there was no road noise. While we had a "standard" king with a fridge, we weren't expecting the microwave, but it was a welcome feature. The room was clean and seemed to truly be a no-smoking room! :)

Not that we didn't like it, but it did take us a few minutes to figure out how to use the heat with the heat pump/fan. -- directions may be helpful. :)

This was our first time staying at Golden Gables, though we had seen it various times. Always looked great from the outdoors, and we found the room was even better. Great beds. Wonderfully clean! Very comfortable room.

Not necessarily a negative, but our room was the second level and accessible only from an outside veranda that runs along the length of the building. We preferred the second floor so that is good, but if a person had issue navigating stairs they would want to request a first level room.

The view from our balcony was beautiful. We could see the mountains and the grounds. It was close to shopping and restaurants.

The hotel in right on/very close to the main road, but they also has other units in the back area. Unfortunately our room was on the road side and there was quite a bit of traffic noise. The room itself was clean, but the bathroom could have used a bit more thorough cleaning. The duvets did not have an actual duvet cover on them, instead it had a bottom sheet and another on top which I found different.

Close to major attractions. Rooms are big and very clean. Has a refrigerator and microwave. We arrived late (after the front desk was closed — but we had instructions taped to the front door). Helpful staff. We bungled our check out date — the front desk staff were helpful in extending our stay, have us keep our room, and charged the same as the other days; they did not charge a premium price to take advantage of our mistake.

Would be good to have a coffee/tea in the room — a kettle? Water bottle filling

The room we ended up in was very nice. We had some issues with the first room, and without asking, were put in a different room next to the railroad tracks. Our room was in the back of the complex. It had two queen beds. It was large, clean and comfortable. The small balcony was nice to sit outside on. The lighting could have been improved by adding a floor lamp and wall sconces. The pool and hot tub were nice , and they also have an outdoor grill if you want to cook and eat there. We would recommend staying there.

The original room was rather old and not very nice. It seemed damp and was small. Definitely not updated. It was in the main building, lower level. The phone outlet was pulled out of the wall, and the phone did not work for us to call the front desk. The outdoor furniture was missing also. They were short staffed and there was no housekeeping, which was ok with us. We just had to go to the front desk to ask for supplies. The room we stayed in had a broken screen on the sliding glass door, which should be fixed.

They thought of all the little things: a dish for the soap in the bathroom, 2 luggage racks in the room, plenty of hangers, 2 comfy chairs and a small side table, a desk and chair. The property is lovely picnic tables and a grill, a nice playground, and lots of grass to walk around and enjoy some peace.

With the windows open the cars can be heard at all hours, the windows closed and you don’t hear anything so not really a downside.

The desk clerk at check in was so sweet and friendly. I loved how clean and well-taken care of the room was. I loved that it had a private balcony. I loved the pool area and the beautiful patio area with the fire and grill options. The room was very quiet too. The grounds were absolutely gorgeous. I will definitely be coming back here! I came up to celebrate my birthday and I had such a great time! Thank you so much for the wonderful experience by exceeding my expectations!!!

Nothing!

Everything was really clean, and nice. Even though it's on a main road inside the room was really quiet, which was great because it was raining the majority of the time we were up there, so we spent a good amount of time in the room. The jacuzzi was very nice, the tub was large, and the fireplace was pleasant. I would definitely stay there again.

There wasn't much I didn't like. Only 2 things. Lack of a coffee maker in the room was kind of a bummer, but we made due. (They do have it in the office, but I'm lazy and didn't feel like leaving the room.) The only other thing, spiders. LOTS of BIG spiders outside. Granted, they kept mosquitoes and other biting bugs away, but there was a LOT. Found 2 or 3 small ones IN the room, which wasn't a big deal, but I didn't like going out on the balcony because of it.
