We stayed in Bologna for just three nights, and this place was perfect for our short visit. The location couldn’t have been better—many of the main sights were within easy walking distance, and there were great public transport links for reaching further areas or simply getting around in the 35°C heat, as we did! The room was spacious enough for our family of three, and we really appreciated the shared kitchen—it was a comfortable spot to enjoy breakfast each morning. While a simple breakfast (pastry, coffee, and juice) was included in the room rate, we also made use of the apartment’s fridge and nearby shops to stock up on extras like milk, cereal, bread, and cold meats.

We found the bed pillows lumpy and uncomfortable. They could probably do with replacing.

We felt really lucky to have found this gem in such a beautiful, historic building. The location is unbeatable – right in the heart of Bologna with incredible shops and eateries just below. Our hosts, Eduardo and Indiana, were absolutely fantastic: so kind and helpful. We arrived two hours earlier than expected and Indiana met us within 10 minutes with a warm welcome, which we really appreciated. The building itself is stunning, and we loved it so much we extended our stay by a night and moved into the larger suite, which was even lovelier. The room and bathroom were spotless with fluffy towels, a super comfy bed, and although there was just one pillow, we found extras in the wardrobe. The communal area is a really thoughtful touch – you can unwind in the evening with a glass of wine (on an honesty system), make tea or coffee, and use the shared cutlery and crockery. Breakfast is offered via tokens for a local pasticceria just seconds down the road – you get a croissant, tea or coffee, and juice – which we didn’t mind at all. There is a lift, though you do need to take two more staircases after – not an issue for us, but good to know. The air conditioning worked brilliantly, making it a very comfortable stay. We can’t wait to return!

The only small drawbacks for us were the lack of an espresso machine in the room and no private fridge. It would have been lovely to make a coffee first thing in the morning without needing to use the communal kitchen and risk disturbing other guests. Similarly, while there is a shared fridge available, having one in the room would be helpful – especially for those needing to store medication or keep drinks cool. These are just minor things that would have made an already great stay even more comfortable.

Fabulous location in one of Bologna's grand Palaces. Our room had a stunning view, and a lovely, comfortable bed. Wonderful bottles of wine from the Isolani family's estate are available -you just pay for any you take. There is a lovely kitchen and balcony available for the handful of apartments to use. Breakfast is provided by a very nice Pasticceria a few doors away - pastry, juice and coffee. Simple but good and fresh. Coffee making facilities are available in the shared kitchen, and if you like you can cook there too, and sit at one of several tables to eat.

Lively chatter from the street below didn't bother us, but would some - it goes on until late, but we were there over Halloween and the holiday for All Saints Day so it was especially busy. Lots of student celebrations of Doctorates too - but we loved the atmosphere.

Francesca was wonderful and so very helpful. She met us at the apartment and chatted awhile, she took our payment and gave us many restaurant recommendations. She was knowledgable about the area and made herself available to answer any questions. Spectacular location! Also, the recommendation for parking at San Donato hotel was perfect. Our car was secure and safe for our whole visit, it was worth the 24 euro a night parking fee.

I didn't expect that both bedrooms opened directly onto a common/shared space. It wasn't a problem because there didn't seem to be many other people staying here, but if it had been a busy time of year we would have unexpectedly encountered strangers while shuffling around in our pyjamas. This property is more like a very large apartment with lots of bedrooms off a common kitchen/balcony. Maybe I didn't read the description properly.

The location is perfect. There are shops, restaurants, coffee shops, supermarkets and sites within walking distance. The kitchen has all the facilities and the bed was very comfortable. The room is spacious and cosy and the bathroom very clean and looks new.

The breakfast was a major disappointment. We only got one croissant, whereas the juice was not fresh and did not taste nice. Also, one tile outside the bathroom came out of place so it must be fixed for the next guests.

You had a token for breakfast to use in a little cafe along the road. It was a coffee, pastry and juice so not a great choice but fun people watching and very busy. The location is amazing and you just step out and there are loads of amazing restaurants, coffee and bars. There is a supermarket close by as you can cook in the shared area and there were fridges etc. Good facilities all around.

There was no chair in the room as I like to sit and read or do my lessons although I could have done this in the shared area. Everything else was perfect.

The breakfast was off sight (about 100 meters away), but coffee was available at the property. A kitchenette was also available for guests, including a refrigerator, stove, cooking utensils, and plates, glasses, and silverware.

There didn’t appear to be a way to drop our luggage off at the prooerty when we checked in, and the closest parking was 1.5 kms away. That's not a long walk, but with 2 suitcases, it is.

Friendly owner who gives a lot of advise on how to get there, and what to see. Beautiful setting with nice views.

Getting to the actual place is a little tricky, because it is a private place, but luckily the owner sent pictures about where to find the door...etc. I was a little nervous about having to use a set of 4 keys to get back inside, but it worked all right. The breakfast is a minimum solution in a local bakery, but it works ok

The place is very pleasant, very well located. The staff is super polite and very helpful. Everything is very close, it's very easy to walk around the city. Breakfast option at a nearby bakery. And an excellent ice cream shop 20 meters away. The market is a 5-minute walk away. It was an excellent stay.

The floor needs repairs, as some parts are loose and could hurt your feet. The pantry needs more pieces, such as cups, glasses and wine glasses, as the ones we have available are insufficient. Nothing that prevents an excellent stay.

Really helpful staff, great location, very nice, comfortable and clean room! Tasteful and period-correct interior design!

There are stairs in the last two floors before getting inside the rooms which is a bit tricky if you carry heavy luggage, but it’s fine. Also in the room we stayed in there were only skylights, making it bright and sunny, but there was no view.
