A friendly welcome with lots of information. Good size room, tastily decorated,comfortable bed, great amount of TV channels, easy pin access to all areas so no keys to carry. We had the ability to use the shared kitchen if needed including fresh milk. There are no options for meals so potentially the use of the kitchen helps. Easy walking distance to supermarkets, easy street parking near the Sutherland. Great to be able to go downstairs and get a drink in the pub. The landlady was very friendly and helpful.

There was very little to complain about there was some lack of attention to cleaning in a few areas some lipstick on my mug in the room but we were able to get another mug from the shared kitchen. The bin in the bathroom had not been emptied from the previous person.

What a great find this lovely pub was. We stayed over as we were going to see an ABBA tribute at the Pot Bank in Stoke and we are so glad we found this place. It is only 10 minute walk to the Pot bank so ideal location. We were greeted by a friendly smile and shown to our room access to the room and to the pub out of hours is by access code so no possible losing keys or key access cards not working. The room was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, all the facilities you need for a comfy stay, very comfy bed and a big ensuite. There is no breakfast provided which you are made aware of at the time of booking, but there is a big kitchen shared between all the rooms where you can make your own breakfast, there is even an iron and ironing board in there for use if needed. The pub is so cosy and a friendly locals pub serving real ales.

There is nothing to not like.

We were surprised with this accommodation. Externally, it looked rough and in a somewhat depressed looking area, but inside it was really comfortable, spacious, clean and well presented. Bathroom was a bit on the small size, but the shower was roomy and good. Our host appeared a bit eccentric, but he was welcoming, helpful and fun. Re location, it is not far from the Spode ceramics museum. I would recommend this for the value for money and the presentation and comfort of the room

The only criticism is the glass shelf above the bathroom basin. It presents a risk (to one's forehead) which could be averted by shifting if 40cm to the side

Lovely friendly staff. Very comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Pub downstairs sold a very nice pint! Breakfast from the traditional oatcake shop opposite was delicious and very good value.

Location was much further out than I had anticipated but that is my fault for lack of research. Was easily walkable from the station but was quite far from Victoria Halls. Wasn’t able to store luggage while out and about on day of departure. They did say they would try to accommodate but no one there when I left. Despite the slight negatives I would stay here again, I would just be better organised knowing these things in advance.

What a great find! I was in Stoke for a week for work on my own. The owners of the pub were so welcoming and friendly. The room and bathroom were spacious, warm and spotlessly clean. The best bit is the communal kitchen which is stocked with everything you could want - cereals, milk, coffee, tea, even pain au chocolat! The restaurant scene in Stoke is not amazing so I cooked for myself (Sainsburys a 5 min walk away) and it was just a really good experience. This will definitely be my 'go to' place in Stoke. The pub downstairs is cosy and friendly. The doors are all accessed with codes so you can slip in and out and keep yourself to yourself, if you like. The owners will warmly welcome you for a pint but also leave you in peace. It was a really lovely, relaxed atmosphere. They really deserve to do well and the thoughtful touches really made a difference.

Host was was very kind, helpful and responded to all communication in good time manner. Always polite. Lisa will greet you with lovely, welcoming smile. All staff were very kind and polite. The room we stayed in was absolutely gorgeous, clean and had everything we needed. Kitchen was very welcoming and tidy. In the pub downstairs you can grab drink and listen to live singers. 10/10 stay. Definitely my favourite one! I hope we will be lucky enough to get the same room next time we in Stoke-on-Trent! Thank you.

I liked everything.

The rooms were absolutely beautiful - lovely, comfortable beds and spacious, spotless bathrooms. The decor was thoughtful and welcoming. I have to admit, when we first arrived I was a little concerned, as the exterior isn’t particularly eye-catching. But once inside, we were genuinely impressed. The rooms are fabulous and offer incredible value for money. A real hidden gem! Perfect for a trip to the potteries and great location for the university. We were staying for a graduation so was ideal.

We stayed one night in this beautiful quaint room above a classic English Pub. We didn’t hear any noise from the pub either. The breakfast, while not cooked, was great! Lots of options and it was nice to be able to use the kitchen. We were visiting Stoke to check out the pottery museums and shops and did not rent a car which we immediately regretted! There is a rental car shop very near by so would recommend renting a car to make the most of your visit - book in advance as we were not able to get one on the day!

Not much we didn’t like :) only thing to note is that they aren’t open during the day so it wasn’t a possibility for us to leave our bags before or after check out. We were staying here as part of a 6-week trip so unfortunately had big bags to lug around which is an us problem 😂

Check in nice and easy. Parking not a problem just off the main road in residential a side street. Didnt have breakfast (personal choice) opted for the oatcake shop across the road, but did make use of the orange juice available. The rooms were nice, a little warm although a fan was provided. Clean and comfortable. Furniture a little dated but suited the accommodation. I used this hotel as it was perfect location for what i wanted, visiting family locally. It is great base for local attractions, Trentham Gardens always a personal favourite.

Unfortunately the area is a little run down, but dont let this affect your stay here.

It's one of the best places we've stayed in! Lovely room, very comfortable and all the facilities you could want, including a kettle with tea, coffee, sugar & hot chocolate in the room, with a couple of packets of biscuits, too! The cute teddy on the bed was a nice welcome touch :) The communal kitchen had lots of choices for a continental breakfast and a Nespresso machine, washer, dryer, fridge, toaster, and a side table and barstools to be able to sit and eat in comfort. Everyone was very welcoming, especially Justin behind the bar and we were so lucky that he was still waiting for us on day 1 as we didn't realise that check-in ended at 9 pm (we arrived at 9:30). Matt brought us fresh towels on day two and supplied us with extra coffee and sugar. Noting was too much trouble here. Highly recommended!

Nothing! Everything was perfect. :D I only wish we could've stayed another 2 nights (we stayed 3 in total), but they were fully booked, so my tip would be to book early to ensure you don't miss out!
