This hostel was the perfect place to stay for us. They locked our bikes in the garage for us. We were able to rent an entire 4 bed-room to ourselves for less than $250 for 2 nights where everything else in Penticton cost double. Plus, it has a kitchen, which was meet meals when we didn’t wanna eat out. It’s ideally located close to everything. We were in town to bike the KVR and the Hoodoo Asbentures shop where our shuttle left from was a 30 second bike ride away. The manager Lisa entered her staff were all super helpful. It’s evident they’ve been making some upgrades because the bathrooms upstairs that we used looked like it had to set a brand new Reno.

We did notice that it smells quite heavily of marijuana upstairs. We weren’t sure if that was because it’s a very old building or because the windows were open and someone was smoking outside

It has everything you expect from a hostel. A community kitchen, a seating area with TV, few magazines, a patio and backyard, 3 stalls of free parking at the back and a warm host at the reception. I stayed with my partner, this was my second visit and I found them the same 2 years apart. The location is on a semi-busy street so you can hear cars passing by at night, that's a pain but acceptable enough. The private room was a little small, but we managed since this is a value-for-money place. They offer the cheapest option to stay in, and a kitchen means you don't have to spend $$$ for your meals. Overall recommended.

Women's washroom was clogged and not draining. My wife was unaware of it and was caught in a bad place. A warning would have been nice

The room was good value for pricey Penticton. I liked the feel of the hostel and the common areas. The shower was good and we were thankful for it after a few days of dry camping. Location was good for us, because we had a car. But we were able to walk to pubs and restaurants.

A small fan in the room would have been nice....it was quite hot during our stay.

Location was great, steps away from the Main Street. The shared facilities (kitchen, dining area, living room, and outdoor area) were really nice. Affordable laundry (wash, dry, and detergent) available on-site.

The shower needs renovations. It was functional but definitely my least favorite part of the stay.

In general the accomodation in BC area is not great and extremely overpriced. This was the best hostel we stayed in and the most affordable one, but maybe it's because we were there in low season.

Dormitory and Bathrooms were nice and clean. Kitchen was maintained clean too. Easy check in & check out process, service was good too.

Wish there was plug points for each bed. Parking within property would have been great, but roadside parking was available and free on holidays.

Great staff! Clean, quiet,great location, comfortable stay.! I would recommend.

What isn't to like. If you come in the spring/summer it's too warm n hot come in the fall / winter it's cool n cold... I enjoyed my stay.. Thank you HI Penticton Hostel..Merry Christmas to you and Happy new year 2023

good location, walking distance from most things a tourist wants to do. it is what you pay for a hostel bed, but clean, host and guests were friendly. kitchen is well equipped, has a nice dining sitting area too, even an outdoor patio.

it says free parking, but only have room for three cars, luckily there is parking nearby on the street. only has one shower for females.

Brand new bathrooms were super nice! Located close to down town - walking distance from the beach and dozens of restaurants

Only 3 parking spots, only 1 shower/toilet for women, the windows in the room were stuck.
