This place was amazing! I came and I was treated like a royalty! Was greeted with a glass of bubbly. It was my country's independence day and I even got more in my glass because of that! My friend in the lobby carried my bag in my room. The room was so spacious and comfortable, nice bed, good shower and spacious bathroom. But the balcony was amazing! This is why I chose this hotel - the view!! I will be back! LOVE this hotel!

Being Icelandic, my only problem was that the AC didn't get cold enough.

The property is spacious with great parking and extremely comfortable beds. The view from the terrace restaurant is enchanting and the staff especially Nicole that greeted us, were friendly and exceedingly helpful. They even gave me a cake for my birthday which was delightful and delicious. The food at the restaurant is great- especially the scampi risotto.

Because parking at volosko and Opatija is difficult, my only issue was that my elderly mother couldn’t walk down the steep cliff to the town. The hote kindly helped us get taxis so this can easily be overcome.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring the city. However, what truly made our stay exceptional was the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Every team member was attentive and willing to assist with any request. Laurus was our first stop on our journey through Croatia, and it was surprisingly amazing. It somehow created a 4 star experience which, sadly, couldn't be matched by the next 4 star hotels we visited onwards. From the moment we stepped inside, all the staff tried to help us in any way possible and in a friendly way possible. The room was spacious and comfy, offering also a stunning view to the sea. To be quite frankly, we've seen 5 star rooms looking inferior to this one. Then, the restaurant is a real gem. It offers a really luxury menu, but for decent prices. And the staff is also helpful, very polite and.. quick. Since it was quite cold outside, they brought us blankets even without asking. Thumbs up, guys! Breakfast was also rich in options. Compared with the other 4 star hotels which we visited in Croatia during the following days, i would say that Laurus is more like a 5 star. And yes, we would definetly include Laurus in our next trip to Croatia.

Had a room with a balcony overlooking the bay, exceptional and beautiful view. Lovely balcony with comfy chairs and table. Very comfortable bed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Small swimming pool but very nice. Ate two nights in the hotel and enjoyed the food very much also the breakfast too. Made our dog very welcome also.

The main drawback was the steep hill down to the waterside and town.

Lovely good-sized room with a sea-view private balcony. Very comfortable superking bed. Good shower. Good aircon. Lovely pool. On-site restaurant served excellent food and wine. All hotel staff inc. Restaurant servers were very friendly and helpful. Free on-site parking.

If you Google map the hotel, it is a reasonable 15 min walk to the excellent restaurants on the seafront, BUT, it's an incredibly steep incline. We got a taxi (EUR18 return). No iron allowed in room (health & safety)

Very helpful staff trying to make our stay as good as can be. Great view from the room and balcony. A good restaurant for dinner. Excellent breakfast. Good parking facility

The hotel has been updated, but it is still showing its age. Has an old in room telephone that didn't work. The heat also didn't work

Staff a 10 for service as they arranged immediately new rooms when we requested it due to the heat and non/less working airco’s in the apartment at top of building. Breakfast choice excellent and also here the staff making it a very nice start of the day.

It’s a bit odd located (but good parking) Hotel pool and area need an upgrade.

Great view from the room and from the terrasse of the restaurant. Great food and comfortable room. The service was excellent - many thanks to the whole team.

Overlooking the busy road to Opatija, so a bit noisy. A bit far away but we chose the hotel for the view, which is unique.

Breakfast was amazing, with something for every type of diet. Big bed and roomy bathroom. The staff is extra friendly and always ready to help and assist.

The room window is close to the balcony of the next room and they could see into my room. So I had my blinds closed even during the day to protect my privacy.
