Room was beautiful, historical, special vibe. We had little balcony. Breakfast was soooooo god, mimosa instead of coffee ;) Perfect weekend gettaway with my husband. Staff was really nice! Everything was perfect! We will def come back ;)

Inner and outer stlye of the hotel was very classic, noble and stylish. The interior designer had a good taste, I felt like a modern princess in the hotel. The breakfast was also quite rich, delicious and colourful - on any diet you can find your favourite dish. Spa was well-designed too. Location is great. Staff members were kind and helpful. We got a bigger room than we booked - it was a generous act.

Somewhere the walls/wallpapers were dirty and damaged - but it’s a tiny aesthetic problem. In the spa the hot tubes were out of order at our weekend long stay - it was very disappointing because we planned to use them.

Amazing staff, very friendly, welcoming and professional, really gentle people. Breakfast was really good and with a huge selection of some real good stuff, mixing some good international products and some great local stuff. Amazing breakfast room from the last century. Great room, had a great view over the sea, and the suite was really spacious - the bed insanely comfortable and the room really clean! Amazing SPA, the staff down there was extremely welcoming and we had the chance to relax properly. Thanks a lot for taking care of us!

Well, having housekeeping knock on our door at 8:30 AM on the day of checkout was quite disappointing. To be honest, it woke us up and felt rather intrusive. The Bloody Mary station at the breakfast buffet was a great touch, but unfortunately, the “fresh” tomato juice fizzed and popped when I opened the bottle, leaving my shirt stained. I mentioned it to the staff at the time, but there was no real reaction or offer to help with the situation. Lastly, the minibar selection was honestly one of the poorest we’ve seen – very limited and not what we would have expected in a suite.

Breakfast and dinner were very cultivated, quiet. Excellent choice of foods, everything we tried was delicious. Staff was amazing, when we arrived, they straight away asked us if we need help with our luggage. They were very friendly, helpful and fulfilled all and beyond our requests.

Parking costs 25 euros for a day. We think as guests of hotel, we could have at least some discount. But plus was, last day, when we were leaving the hotel, we could leave our car on the parking all day, til we decide we want to leave.

It was a beautiful character building standing quite grand with large wide staircases and good views of the bay if you request it. Although in need of some updating it was still a nice hotel. I’d love to designer guild it, then it would be Wow! Considering the size of the room the bathroom was small.

A little dated and there were a lot of people in the area who thought they were better than the average person, rude and impatient. The hotel felt a little like a cruise ship vibe with most couples in their 50,s and 60’s I’d say but that could have just been the day we were there. Very helpful staff and sadly a lot of hotels have fallen into disrepair post the covid debacle.

This was one of the best stays of my life. The hotel was very clean, staff incredibly attentive and helpful, and the food amazing. Thanks so much to Ivan, Vlado, Duško and other people I couldn’t catch their names, you made our stay truly memorable. We came with a dog and he was also treated in the best possible way! We will come back for sure some day as both the hotel and Opatija have a special place in our hearts now.

Just a small thing, but I would really appreciate if there was an iron in the room. Even though there is a cleaning/ironing service available, having an iron in the room would be very convenient.

Service in this hotel is outstanding. You forget how much you miss it when you stay in apartments and have to do everything on your own. After we spent the night, we wanted to explore the city for a few hours before heading to our next destination. No problem or extra charge for leaving our car in the small hotel parking lot. We left our luggage near the front desk, no charge. When we returned, the front desk clerk went to the parking lot up the hill and brought our car down to the front door! He helped us load our luggage and we tipped him, of course. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast in the elegant dining room, a former ballroom. Both meals were buffet style, with excellent choices. Helpful staff in the dining room. Quiet, comfortable bed and room. Beautiful old hotel, nicely renovated. Great location right on the seaside promenade.

Very helpfull & kind stuff. Very spacious rooms. Hotel has payed parking & it’s in the centre, nice views around & from seaside rooms. One of the best breakfast I saw lately, keep it like this please. Huge spread on display & variety of food, drinks etc. Nice bar & terrace outside. Excellent helpdesk at hotel chain reservations as I was not sure which day I will visit hotel out of 3 days in a row. Reception can keep luggage after checkout & car can be left at hotel parking all day after checkout.

Maybe little bit small bathroom at room, but that is not really a minus, as room was huge, more than enough space for 4 persons in general. Not sure is it because it’s heritage site & not allowed to be touched without architects, but some part of building fasade and ballroom areas need attention.

Hotel staff, location, breakfast, cleanliness, spacious room, the view, all these things were excellent. Wellness was also really good.

Please change the pillows, they are incredibly bad, or at least buy 10 ergonomic pillows and offer these as an option. I lost sleep over the pillow. Second, I know this is a safety regulation, but my God, the blinking light from the fire alarm is blinding at night. I wasn't able to sleep because of it. Perhaps, if possible, rotate the fire alarm encasing, so the LED light faces the wall, instead of th bed. And too bad that otherwise excellent wellness doesn't have a pool, I would perhaps put a pull where the jacuzzi are, and put the jacuzzis where the relaxing sofas are.
