Location was amazing! Great value for money! The Hotel / Front Desk Manager, Harry was exceptional and so accommodating. The Concierge / Valet Guys were so professional and friendly. They went out of their way. Breakfast was lovely with a full spread and again, staff went out of their way to accommodate. Desperate what some comments may point out. We had a wonderful 5 nights!

There is a club on the waterfront and they had a live band that was very loud. This turned into a nightclub and finished rather late. Unfortunately if you want to be in the right location you will hear this. Nothing a good pair of earplugs can’t help.

Villa Amalia is a real historic villa, just next to Hotel Kvarner. You can use Kvarner's facilities, but you are a little more separated from the main building. The rooms are spacious, and the breakfast was excellent. The staff was super friendly and helpful, especially the main receptionist (Hrovje), who was very attentive and helped with restaurant recommendations, bookings, etc. Having direct access to the beach was also a big plus.

From the moment we arrived the experience was excellent, the check in staff were friendly and very helpful and assisted us with parking our car, as the parking area is a little bit tricky to find and identify. The room was beautiful and absolutely huge and we also spent some time at the pool and beach which were both quite nice. What impressed us the most was the breakfast, which was without a shadow of a doubt the best breakfast we have had at any hotel in Croatia and in fact most of Europe. Absolutely stunning!

The parking lot for the cars is well below the standards of the hotel being what looks like empty terrain where a house used to be. It is unmarked parking on gravel, which is really out of place in such a high class location and at such a high class hotel.

Staf - super friendly Room (balcony with sea view ) - Exceptional : having morning coffee at that balcony = reason to return ;) Style and energy of the place - exceptional

The best hotel in the city. You can feel the time when it was built, and enjoy Opatia in it’s full beauty. Rooms are beautiful, breakfast is a true magic. Everything you need for an unique vacation.

Very helpful staff, gorgeous breakfast, private beach with everything to relax and enjoy the sea. The location is awesome as you are in the middle of Lungomare and can walk 6 km left or right.

Slow service in the restaurant and modest menu for lunch & dinner. The wobbly floor in the room was a little disturbing. The building is old, although it has recently been restored.

Great location, friendly staff, nice property

When we arrived the pool area looked a bit messy. Food plates, bottles, napkins, used towles were all over the place and the guests who had been using them clearly had departed a while ago. Also during breakfast staff struggled to clear tables on the terrace and the pigeons had a feast. Not sure if there was just not enough personal to take care of these things.

The location was incredible. The rooms were perfect - so clean and spacious! The pool was great and the beach area too. The breakfast buffer was one of the best ive ever seen!

The service for dinner and breakfast was very slow.

The staff was great! Special thanks to Dario who served us in the restaurant. The Location and building is magnificent. Top class hotel!

The gym was to small.

Everything....its our 7th summer in Hotel Kvarner and Villa Amalia....wonderful place with extraordinary history,my second home❤️
