We stayed in a tent above all the geodesic domes and with a view of Mount Fuji. The tent is fully equipped with a blanket for the cold nights, a coffee grinder, a toaster, a fridge full of breakfast, and many USB lamps. We also paid extra for the barrel sauna. Dinner was great, especially the rice. Shared shower with hot water and toilets are very clean. Staff are friendly. They can set the fire for you.

On the day we arrived, there was a thunderstorm. So we couldn't see the firework on Lake Kawaguchiko, which could be viewed from the top of the campsite. Be prepared that there would be different weather conditions which may affect your experience. After all, it's outdoor camping.

we stayed in saturn dorm, room is spacious and cozy. dinner (BBQ) is good but too much meat. BBQ is in western style (which I expected to be more Japanese vibes). the private jacuzzi is awesome but have restricted time of use. anyway, the mt. fuji view is soooo good! enjoyed living by the woods and woke up with such a spectacular view.

the dorm and camping sites are close, so if you have a big groups nearby, it might be a bit noisy.

The hospitality, comfort, and service exceeded my expectations, making my visit truly enjoyable. Since the grounds were 15mins drive away from town, Staff got out of their way to drive us to places eg. Rope way, we wanted to buy an extra suitcase on our last day, they rang around for us before driving us there then back again. Luggage transfer was arranged by them on our request without any hesitation. Fantastic food, too much for my hubby, myself & my 6yr old to eat so we saved it later for our snacks. Brought some marshmallows to burn over the campfire. Amenities were clean. Shout out to Mr Awa, who went above and beyond to help make our stay memorable, plus his English was top notch which helped a lot.

It is a camp & clamping site, so toilets & showers were a bit out the way. We booked a dome so if you wanted to go to the restroom at night, it was cold!

The food was amazing, as was the location. Looking out onto Mt. Fuji in the morning was actually life-changing. I'm sure there are other places where you can have a similar experience, but I couldn't speak more highly to this one. Bathrooms were immaculate and a nice shower, which for a campsite (glamping) is saying something. Wagyu beef and pork chops, sweet potatoes and rice, veggie dish, can't say enough good things about the food, and breakfast/coffee service was lovely as well. People/staff couldn't have been nicer.

I didn't love being charged for more firewood, and then not given a starter or kindling so with nobody available in the morning we couldn't get a fire going, but that's a small nit in an otherwise lovely stay.

The campsite is picturesque, a million dollar view of mt Fuji and the forest around! We stayed at the dome and it was so comfortable, warm, had everything we needed. The shared bathrooms are very clean. The meals deserve separate attention - wagyu beef, sashimi, Japanese specialty dishes… so delicious and the portions were huge. A cute and pleasant surprise was a projector in the dome, we could relax with a movie after an active day outdoors! The staff were really going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable! They also provided a shuttle to pick us up to and from the Kawaguchiko station, and one extra time when the traffic in town was problematic and the public buses weren’t working.

Nothing!

We stayed in one of the larger huts. There were 4 of us and there was plenty of room inside and on the deck. The beds were very comfortable and they had a projector so we watched movies on the side of the room. Super fun. The site provided amazing foods to grill yourself. The quality of the food was top notch and amounts were very generous. I did need to work with them to understand my gluten allergy, but they were in the end able to mostly accommodate me. The staff was so nice and very helpful booking taxis and such when we needed them. The location is not close to much but has an amazing view of Mt. Fuji that we did not tire of the two nights we were there. They had electric bikes you could rent to get to the store if you wanted and provided a shuttle at 11 AM that we used to get to a bike rental on the lake we used to spend the day biking around Lake Kawaguchiko.

The bath option was not as nice as many of the other places we had stayed in our time in Japan. We stayed in an equally small setup and they had a lovely private garden tub. The other odd thing is you are assigned a time for a private bath based on which room you were staying in which was difficult for us as we were given a very early time (3:00 pm). When I booked all the rooms were available. If I had known about the assigned time, I would have chosen a different room or done more research on hot spring options in the area.

Fantastic stay! Tocoro was exactly what we hoped for: A beautiful refuge in the woods, but close to the whole Mt. Fuji area and easy to take day trips. The staff was respectful and attentive and the facilities were very clean. The beds were very comfortable! The luxury dome tents are very luxury with in-room sink, AC and mini fridge. The bell tents are more like glamping but very nicely set up. The campground was quiet. Our favorite thing was cooking our own food on the grill on the deck of the dome tent. The food the brought us was excellent and we had a lot of fun with our glamp-ground dining. The only thing lacking was more plates and utensils would have been helpful. The view is incredible! Better than expected.

They needed more utensils to serve the food.

The amount of food for BBQ was ample. All the staff members were quite hospitable and nice. We used the private bath in the designated time and they provided different amenities there. The projector in the room was nice. There was a hair dryer provided. The room was spacious and clean. There was a sink and the air-conditioner was quite strong. We all slept very well as the mattress was comfortable. We also loved the scrumptious breakfast.

The bathroom is quite close to our tent but if you live further away, it will be quite troublesome to walk all the way to the bathroom at night. Occasionally, we could hear the other guests walking past our dome. If you are sensitive to noises, it’s a good idea to book this hotel and bring your earplugs. :)

Our stay was absolutely perfect! We (2) stayed in the Saturn dome. It was spacious, clean, comfortable, and offered a relaxing environment among the nature. The dinner was delicious and for two people, quite abundant. Same for breakfast. A lot of additional snacks and drinks were available for purchase in the office. Bathrooms were very clean, showers were really nice, too. Private bath was also nice. We didn’t use the barrel sauna although it was offered to us. Be sure to book transportation to the glamping grounds as the walk is quite challenging, mostly uphill, although the walk was quite beautiful through a small neighborhood. Importantly, the staff was incredibly accommodating for every one of our needs. They really made our experience extra special with their kindness, hospitality, and care. We would 1000% recommend this place and hope to come back one day. It was rainy and cloudy during our visit and for sure we would have loved to see Mt. Fuji, it was still a great experience. It is obviously quite visible in a clear day from the glamping site. Well done, Tocoro!

The simple tent was charming and allowed us to be in nature while having the creature comforts of beds, heaters and electric outlets. The meals exceeded expectations. Having stayed in both the tent and the Mars dome, we found the dome dinner/breakfast very good. But we enjoyed the tent dinner/breakfast even more – grinding our own coffee beans and having the crunchy granola and hot sandwich at breakfast, as well as the delicious stewed chicken at night. Appreciated the clean shower and friendly staff.

The outdoor bath had no privacy, so we were not inclined to use it.
