The location was ideal-just a short walk to the beautiful, clean beach with crystal-clear water. It was also close to restaurants, shops, and everything we needed during our stay. The room itself was spotless, cozy, and well-equipped, which made us feel right at home. The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Andrea took the time to inform us about the local area, including recommendations for places to eat, things to do, and how to get around. His hospitality really stood out and made our stay even more enjoyable. We had such a great experience that we’re already planning to come back!

The perfect place to explore Cinque Terre from! Andrea was so lovely and helpful. He sent us a Google doc with local recommendations and discounts and also kindly got us discounted Cinque Terre Passes! The surrounding area is beautiful and the most peaceful of the 5 towns, with lots of amazing restaurants and (stoney) beaches to relax on.

It was sometimes a little noisy during the day when we were trying to siesta but at night it was very nice and quiet.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was very clean and smelled fresh, which made us feel comfortable right away. The staff was incredibly kind and always had a smile on their faces, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout our stay. A special thank you to Lorenza — she was amazing and helped us so much with everything we needed. Her assistance really made a difference and added a personal touch to our experience. The location was also very convenient, close to everything we wanted to visit. All in all, a fantastic stay.

We stayed here for two nights, in the end of May. Andrea was the most welcoming and helpful host who has tried to take everything into consideration and answer all of your questions, even before you know you should ask about them yourself – just look at the work he has put into his PDF with restaurant recommendations etc. The area was quiet, even though there is some sort of car repair shop downstairs, but still close to everything. There were also blinds in the room, which kept the sun away enough. The rooms are small but tidy and cozy. I would stay here again!

This was a great value. Location was very good - only a few steps up to the hotel lobby. Staff and housekeeping service was wonderful. Written directions for tourist info was exceptionally clear, easy to access and helpful. There was a very fast, full service laundry practically next door with great prices The waterfront, banking, shops, great restaurants and bars for meals, pastries, gelato and drinks were within steps. It was a relatively flat 15 minute walk from train station. The waterfront had restaurants, shops, swimming, restaurants, boat and ferry rides. Hiking access was great.

My room faced the small road and it was sometimes noisy in the morning.

We had an amazing stay here! The location was perfect - very quiet and walking distance to all the main areas. Andrea was an amazing host and kindly provided us with detailed PDFs of the whole town, restaurants, the hiking trails, etc. They were all very helpful and we had many good meals because of his recommendations. The room was very spacious and clean (and the shower was great!). Overall, this was the perfect place to use as our base while traveling around Cinque Terre, and we really appreciated Andrea’s kindness and hospitality. We would definitely come back here again!

We were very happy with our accommodation. Location was good - a little away from the center so quieter, but still very close and convenient. Room was clean and well appointed, and was refreshed each day by simply clicking the light on the door when we left. Best of all was the hospitality and help from our host Andrea, and his colleagues - tremendous, really made a difference in our stay. Restaurant recommendations, travel assistance, local knowledge, he was there for everything and always in a very friendly way. Even got our dog fix with his boy Blue! Overall very enjoyable and a great value. I wouldn't call it paradise:), but it was great!

Andrea made us feel right at home. He waited for us when our train was delayed to check in and helped us up the steps with our bags. He was also really helpful worth restaurant advice etc. We loved having a window above the street and a nice patio to relax in.

This hotel is at the end of town, so it is just a bit longer walk from everything than I would have liked, but if you are hiking, it is very near the trail.

Such a great place!! Not too expensive! Location was great- only 10 min flat walk from train station. Only 20 or so stairs to property. Right in the heart of Monterosso village so very easy to pop in and out of the accommodation. Andrea was awaiting my arrival and had lots of information planned for us. Very helpful and lovely! Rooms were tidied each day! The housekeeper was lovely too. Bed and pillows were comfy Air conditioning was great. Rooms were a decent size, ensuite wasn’t too small. Shower was great. I loved the little clothes line out the window

Andre is an amazing host who goes above and beyond for his guests. He gave us many suggestions which made our holiday in Cinque Terre one of our best ones yet. There is a lovely warm and relaxing atmosphere Albergo Al Carugio and I would recommend anyone to stay here if looking to stay in Monterosso.
