We were greeted by the friendly innkeeper. The place was just, I believe, repainted and some remodeling had been done. Put it this way, the place was an older establishment, but the new owners were doing their best to freshen up EVERYTHING, We couldn't believe we could get three beds (we were traveling with family)... that was amazing-and they were so comfortable.

I really can't say anything that I did not like. Breakfast was included - continental style - parking was ample - they had chairs out for sitting around the lake. I can't say anything bad!!!

The staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean and the beds were not uncomfortable. We only stayed for one night before moving on to our next stop but if I was looking for a cheap place to sleep while going to Cedar Point, I would stay here again. Free water bottles were offered at check-in and check-out. The breakfast was basic, but fresh and had the usual cereal/bagels covered. Overall a pleasant stay.

Myself and my children have thicker wavy hair, the shower pressure was more of a trickle and not able to actually wash our hair. The shower was clean though and shampoo/conditioner/body wash was provided.

It's really an amazing family-oriented hotel with amazing staff the rooms are really clean the breakfast is amazing I don't see why paying $200 a night for a room when you can stay here and it's just as good if not better the owner of the property is amazing definitely give cedar cove a five-star rating I will definitely stay there in the future and for the rest of my visits at cedar point for the rest of my life me and my family thank you cedar cove for being so amazing over the entire season of cedar point definitely will be seeing you next year

The room was clean and spacious, the TV set up was one of the most interesting I've seen, I want to go back to try it in more detail. VERY excellent location.

There are a good amount of water bugs (NOT the hotels fault, it's on the lake and these guys are all over Sandusky). But when turning on the heater it blew a bunch of dead ones out and gave quite a fright, maybe run those before guests come if it's been a hot minute.

The breakfast was good. The hotel was close to quite a few attractions and it didn't take long to get places. The room was nice, had some dings/scratches in the walls and paint on the floor in the bathroom. Overall though, it was a clean room. The outside of the hotel could use some upgrades.

The lock on the door to keep ppl out was broken.

All in all, it was a great stay! Clean and affordable. SUPER close to Cedar Point. The bed was more comfortable than those at a higher end hotel. The breakfast offered was decent and the staff were SO nice. They went above and beyond. Only downside was our AC had some issues in our room, caused a bit of an odd smell, but the hotel staff/maintenance fixed it!

The staff was incredibly friendly and the rooms were updated and comfortable.

The nearby train is REALLY LOUD and from the outside, it looks super sketchy. I'd advise anyone to not judge a book by its cover though here because they have clearly been working to make this a great place to stay and the inside shows it!

Front desk staff was great at check in and provided cold water. Location is great and is a nice place to stay for Cedar Point. Overall I would stay here again in a pinch, but I might shop around for a more planned visit.

Staff seemed eager for me to leave on checkout. Rooms are very basic but have all of the requirements for a good room including mini fridge. Overall the location and proximity to Cedar Point makes up for most negatives.

It was a convenient location to Cedar Point. It was clean and I loved how they had a family sized room. That is such a great offering. I also liked the selection at breakfast and that the pool is open late enough to refresh after a long day at the amusement park. That was well thought out.

It is a bit old, but I could tell the owners have done their best to spruce it up. Perhaps some conditioner in the bathroom would be convenient.

Positives; water pressure, clean, friendly staff, great location, close to Cedar Point, accross from a bar, affordable rate, and has a secret beautiful pond behind it with incredible wildlife!
