The service was awesome! Great staff, very friendly. We found the room size to be very generous and the layout perfect for our family (3 under 11 and 2 parents).

I have stayed in quite a number of hotels, including 5-star hotels (I have lifetime elite status in a specific chain). The Evergreen Laurel hotel is easily the best among all the hotels I have stayed in. Every hotel I stayed in previously always have something that is not ideal but not this hotel. The beds are comfortable, room is brightly lit (which is a big plus and super rare), a lot of good amenities are provided in the room (increasingly rare in post-covid world), shower water pressure is good, the water temperature is easy to set and remains consistent and the sound-proofing is good - I did not hear any noise from my neighbors (the hotel is full). The location is fantastic as well - I stayed a total of 5 nights and every location I plan to go to is easily reached from the hotel, either by bus or metro. There are two metro stations nearby - Songjiang Nanjing on the green line and Zhongxiao Fuxing on the blue line. Both are within walking distance though the latter is slightly further. There are multiple convenience stores nearby, as well as a Watsons and a Carrefour supermarket. The famous Leechi is right next door. The housekeeping standard is impeccable as well. Oh ya there are also coin-operated washing and drying machines in the hotel. I will definitely be back again when I return to Taipei!

The decor might seem tacky to some (a lot of gold lol) but it is something I can easily put up with given everything else that is so great, and at such a friendly nightly rate.

The lobby is beautiful and welcoming. The room and the bathroom were spacious. Staff were very helpful & friendly. They had coffee in the morning on week days along with ice cream and congee in the afternoon and evening. The location was fantastic. There were couple of bus stops within few minutes of walking. The MTR was 8 mins walk. There was a 7-11, Family mart and a Starbucks within 2 mins walk and a great breakfast place (4 + breakfast) within 2 mins walk.

The hotel breakfast seemed a bit more expensive for the choices available. The only made to order items available were omelette and sunny side up egg.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Room was big, quite, clean and well maintained. The bed was king size and very comfortable. The location is excellent with a 5 min walk to the next MRT. A lot of coffee shops around, if you don't like to have breakfast every day in the hotel. Also a number of restaurants closed by.

very clean and spacious . very good location with amenities and nice breakfast cafes around. the subway was also nearby to get around into town or night Markets.

I waited for 1.5 hrs until 530pm in order to get my room cleansed and ready for check in.

Everything! Very spacious room. Loved the little partition between the 2 beds. Professional and helpful staff. Super close to 7-11, carrefour and family mart. Close to many Taipei attractions by uber. Next to train station. Just across the road from starbucks and some local breakfast joints.

Basically I like its excellent location, where within walking distance, you can get to the subway, restaurants and convenience stores. Taxi can be hailed just outside the hotel, which the staff is ever willing to assist you. We enjoyed the breakfast which is a mixture of asian and western cuisine. The rooms very clean which is a plus.

Just small gripes, like the breakfast, the can improve the quality of omlette and fried eggs, as the egg cook is always one dimensional. We like our eggs fried with runny yolk and they always come almost well done. Also, we didn't know the hotel undergoing an external refurbishment but was only informed once we booked. Anyway, because of that, all the windows are covered and we could not see outside for the whole duration of our stay.

The photographs provided dont do the property justice; it has a more upmarket feel and look. We stayed in the deluxe family room, which had a living area one side and two king beds the other side. They provided waters and snacks every day, as well as toothbrushes, cotton buds, and slippers.

We arrived early from the airport and requested an early check-in. they told us they’d put a rush in the room but it wasn’t available until 4, which is regular check-in time. After a 30 hour journey, it would have been nice to have had the room available earlier.

Great hotel, location is great also very easy to access to shops and public transport. Great staff from front desk, restaurant staff, always want to provide whatever they could and go with the extra mile if possible. Very sincere and absolutely outstanding.

I appreciate that the buildings are close to each other and the shutters at the room are constantly shut. You can not get any day light in the room. Very beautiful room with very very comfortable bed, but, it is a real shame that when there are windows, you can not see out of the room, as the shutter is constantly closed and unable open.

Very polite and extremely helpful staff; reception, door, concierge, breakfast room and housekeeping. Comfortable beds. Excellent location with the subway only 4-5 minutes away.

Couldn't open the blinds due to building work (although nothing seemed to be happening during our stay). This means that the room lacked natural light at any time of the day and so felt very enclosed and claustrophobic. I would check if this is the case before booking as it impacted how comfortable we felt in the room.
