This hotel exceeded all of our expectations in all respect. In particular: the breakfast, which its wide range of high quality food and drinks was outstanding!

A minor point: We were asked when we checked in to fill in some personal details on a tablet. The software on the tablet was not very user friendly. Also, when I had to select the country of residence (being The Netherlands, or as it was mentioned by the software 'Niederlande'), the software did not accept that selection as if the country did not exist...! While not a problem for us, I can well imagine that some customers prefer pen and paper instead of a tablet. Someone should review and improve.

The hotel is really exceptional. Although very old, it does not have the (usual) smell of an old building, so it is highly recommendable for those who prefer newer built hotels. The swimming pool produces no echo, thanks to the intelligent internal decoration solutions. Many could come and learn how it is properly done. The furniture is truly exceptional and the bed comfort is nothing less but maximal.

The breakfast is not only inadequate, but also on the level of an average three-star hotel. I could write an article on what was missing, but it is enough to say that there were no fried eggs croissants were bitter, and filter-coffee is being offered by the waiters, since there were no normal coffee machines; to save on some coffee beans, I presume. Absolutely below average breakfast offer for a five-star hotel, which can be easily avoided, since the hotel is in the city center, so simply don't take the breakfast, and in the morning, check your luck elsewhere.

The hotel has a really nice location in the city center of Etlingen. The rooms are big enough to accommodate our family of four which includes two children. Also the facilities were amazing. They spa, the swimming pools. I really liked it. We had a very nice relaxing weekend

As usual, some guests think that one should be born as an adult. Some rudeness from some guests to the children already but that is actually not really a hotel's faulty.

It‘s a deluxe hotel and it is a very good mix of old and modern style. Staff are very friendly. The breakfast is very good and excellent value for money. I also used the spa area, which is quite nice. We had an event and the food was superb, wines outstanding. Serving staff very attentive until very late.

The single room has just really a single bed. The lockers should be more modern for laptops etc. The parking is €18 per day but the parking lot was very full and difficult to find a space.

Fabulous hotel from top to bottom, friendly & thoughtful staff always happy to assist in every aspect, Spa area is nothing short than stunning, the property is well maintained & clean at all times, fast & steady WiFi, super comfortable beds & pillows, rich & high quality breakfast, also there is a Michelin star restaurant & a very cool bar inside the hotel, located in Ettlingen it's easy enough to come in & out from your daily trips, overall just an unbelievable stay at a very reasonable price, I can not wait to come back

Hotel and services of excellent standard, all of the staff at every level was very caring We enjoyed the atmosphere of the cigar lounge, although we are non-smokers. The spa facility is just perfect

I do enjoy coffee in my room at certain times of the day, so I missed having a small coffee machine in the room, but this is not a major point, I did enjoy having my coffee in the various lounges

Amazing sauna and pool / spa area. Very comfortable rooms. Everywhere tastefully decorated. Creative barman. Good breakfast selection.

The only negative is that the restaurant staff seemed a little tense.

nice spa, we have not tried the restaurant but the breakfast was great, in the long period is always the same food but the standard is high

wifi worked not properly issues with the elevator damaged (i was to 5th floor)

Great location, beautiful facilities, and some of the staff very friendly and helpful.

The room was not as advertised. Bedroom was half the size and bathroom only about 1/3. One very strange thing was that they used two much smaller bed sheets to cover the king size bed. This meant that by the morning the mattress was not properly covered. We were generally disappointed by the size of the room offered, it was very cramped and not what we had reserved.

Very respectful stuff . EGON at reception helps us with all we need bookings, information and everything I ask for . He has been very helpful.
