Beautiful building with a lovely atmosphere and history! Lovely grounds (that are lovingly tended) - really enjoyed playing the bean bag toss game, and later, sitting outside to enjoy having complimentary tea and cookies (which were delicious) after dark by the firepit under the lights on the patio. We really lucked out by being treated to a surprising fireworks display the night of the Art Walk. It made for a magical and memorable evening. Breakfast was way more than we expected! It was delicious and generous, with lots of variety, and our server was lovely. The only down side was one couple who took advantage of the buffet setting, eating everything that was offered (don't know how they managed it all!), then taking numerous items with them when they left (presumably for their lunch???) I wanted to say something to them, but my husband forbade it! Don't know how you can control this kind of rude behaviour.......maybe a sign saying something about these being breakfast items, not intended to be consumed outside the breakfast room???

The bed was not very comfortable (although it looked pretty), and it would have been nice to have a second chair in the room (although it would be difficult to provide one given the space). A grab bar would have been appreciated in the shower. The parking situation was not the best......luckily, it was not raining when we checked in and out, or it would have been very messy toting in our bags. (Jesse was a great help.)

Tina was the most lovely, hospitable and hardworking host! Upon arrival we were greeted by the best ambassadors, two of the sweetest dogs, and that really set the stage for how our stay at the Roosevelt Inn was going to feel. My daughters and I take a girl's trip every year to a different city and the Roosevelt Inn was a warm welcome to Coeur d'alane. The grounds dressed in fall colors and the beautiful vintage appeal of the inn were a treat. The hot tub and sauna, the cookies (the COOKIES!!) and all of the little touches that Tina has thought of made our stay feel special. And breakfast was delicious each morning.

The room set up for 3 people was a little different and the bathroom very small, but all understandable in a historic building, you do what you can. The pathway down to the hot tub was pretty dark, so maybe an additional light there would be helpful.

We thought the breakfast was extremely good. Loved the pancakes and the fact that there were so many good choices. Hats off to the cook! and the waiter was quite good as well! Found the history fascinating. I've told several folks about our stay and hope they will check it out. The check in person was exceptional, she cheerfully answered questions and showed us around. Even walking us to our room, which I'm sure was not required, but just added a welcoming touch.

Can't think of a thing.

This historic building is maintained to perfection! The place exudes charm, as do the owners and their staff. The room was excellent, clean and quiet. The breakfast was made to order and very good. The location is outstanding for exploring CDA downtown and resort area. The two dogs are also outstanding hosts (great pups)!!

Breakfast was great, Talked to all the friendy people that was also having breakfast that morning. The Owner/Host was also very frendly and did a great job with wait time to serve the food. Food display was nicely done.

Hard to find anything negative. The building and grounds are very comforable to walk around and relax. Love your dogs! Was able to use the Hot Tub. Outdoor fire pit is a nice area to sit. Just New carpeting is needed.

Fabulous breakfast and if you wanted more, they were happy to accomodate you. The location is also very walkable for all the great restaurants and fun shops in town

This is an old building and very quaint- there are no tvs in the very small rooms and you need to be quiet as the sound does travel

Very quiet and the grounds are magical. I was there in early Dpring, so things ent quite budding out, but the setting was so relaxing and the high-end outdoor hot tub I had all to myself. The breakfast was plentiful— a choice between fresh baked and cooked to order. Downtown was three blocks away!

No concerns.

It is a great location within walking distance of everything. The staff was friendly and hardworking and accommodating. Unique historical touch with pictures and rooms named after old teachers.

Some furniture felt outdated and could use refreshing. The gardens were lovely, but the outdoor furniture needed more cleaning. Breakfast was underwhelming with limited options and small portions.

The Roosevelt Inn is the best hotel or B&B I have ever stayed in, bar none! They serve actual homemade breakfast with the best cinnamon roll I have eaten outside of Europe, really terrific breakfast potatoes and vey comfortable beds and pillows.

We can not say enough good things about the Roosevelt Inn or its staff and owners.

Breakfast was excellent, I even bought a recipe book to make some of their yummy pancakes. Staff was very warm and felt like we were visiting relatives! Fun relatives! Upgraded us to a nicer room for a moderate charge and it had a sitting room and very roomy area for relaxation. Very close to walk downtown! Loved being at the Roosevelt Inn!
