The room, the fact that it is connected to a mall and I like the breakfast and the friendliness of the people there. In a previous trip I also ate in your fine dining and had a good experience.

When I checked out it was very early in the morning. I think 4 am or something like that and the receptionist who handled my checkout got all the details of what I wanted in my invoice/receipt wrong so I left her the details and my calling card to just email me the correct one as my Uber had already arrived. I never got that email. Also, she told me that the debit card reader wouldn't work when somebody intervened it suddenly worked. I found that strange.

The front desk and restaurant staff was very helpful and pleasant to interact with. The view from our room (2112) was fantastic, our dog loved looking out and watching everyone too! The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and we loved the "Pet in Room" sign for the door! It was a thoughtful addition and made us feel welcome with our dog.

The housekeeping staff was not particularly friendly. When we asked for a refresh of coffee and sugars/ cream, the house keeper at the time seemed a bit annoyed at the request but we thanked her for helping us, of course. We also requested a second robe and slippers as we wanted to use the pool. The front desk staff was friendly, but the staff member who brought up the items just handed them to us at the door and walked away. It was just a weird interaction.

The location can’t be beat. Lots to do within walking distance. Our room was lovely—amazing view of the city from 20th floor, comfy bed and pillows, nice TV, and the BEST shower ever. Temperature, pressure, rain-type fixture! The pool and hot tub are great, and there is a nice fitness center. We absolutely loved the breakfast buffet too. Plenty to eat for both of us—I am mostly vegan, so most breakfast buffets leave me hungry, but not this one. The staff was friendly and helpful. The access to the Rideau Centre was convenient and a nice addition to an already convenient and enjoyable hotel experience.

The elevator system is being revamped and still needs so fine-tuning. Other than that, we loved it.

The location of this hotel is ideal for visiting Parliament Hill Square and the Rideau Canal or Centre. It's perfectly located for sightseeing in Ottawa and only a short taxi ride from the train station. Every member of staff we encountered from entering to leaving the hotel was polite, thoughtful, and helpful. In particular, Ana, on reception, was outstanding. She noticed during our conversation that it was our wedding anniversary and also noticed we had mentioned the wonderful wines produced in Niagara- we were absolutely stunned and deeply touched to receive a bottle of Niagara wine ( hand delivered to our room by a lovely man whose name we did not catch). Thank you for making our anniversary trip just perfect! Lovely proportioned, clean, comfortable bedroom. Spacious bathroom with large walk-in shower. Excellent views of Parliament Hill from the 21st floor. Delicious breakfasts with a large selection of foods available.

Always a pleasure to stay at the Westin, lived there view from our huge window.

I hate the lifts/elevators, it’s the worst system I’ve ever come across in a hotel. We spent ages trying to go up and down. It didn’t help that there are no stairs available after the 4th floor. This is my only complaint and it was shared by quite a few other hotel patrons we were stuck with trying to go up or down.

Location, the Shore Club, staff was excellent

We had a room with two double beds but only one easy chair Our room was on the 23rd floor with glass wondows floor to ceiling We would have liked to be able to sit snd enjoy the view We needed an additional chair! Also, the watersaver toilet did not flush thoroughly!!!

The location can't be better, right in the heart of downtown, walking distance to almost everywhere. The view from my room was breathtaking. Friendly and helpful staff, fantastic breakfast, one of the best in very long time. Large, comfortable rooms, great beds, ample bathroom. Parking right in the hotel was a great plus.

Trying to recall something but likely nothing to complain about.

We chose to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary with a 3-day stay. Our room faced parliament, which we especially loved. The heavenly beds and linens were superb. Our celebration was made exceptionally memorable by the manager who gifted us with champagne and treats in our room. So, so wonderful in every respect.

It was connected to the Rideau centre so no matter the weather we did everything we wanted. The restaurant was right there and the food was delicious.

The restaurant was amazing but expensive. The wine was way over priced. Not sure if the hotel has anything directly to do with it but mentioning just the same.

The Hotel is fine, very pricey tho. Also your city is turning to trash. I am appalled at the allowances of drugs and alcohol and bums on your streets. I never saw this when we used to come every year with our children. We love your museums, I would never bring my child to this!! You have , no had the most beautiful city.
