Attentive staff, very welcoming and accommodating. Our early check in request was met - thank you Tracey! Your passion shines through. Busy vibe in bar restaurant area, nice layout and efficient service, helpful, cheerful staff. We ate in the evening and despite the restaurant being extremely busy, the food was very good and our waiter was great fun and efficient! Breakfast was included in our room rate, again excellent food quality. Tiny gripe - service a bit slow (busy time) but nothing was too much trouble and all staff polite and full of smiles. Bedroom very clean and comfortable, a little too warm for our liking but easily remedied by opening window. Nice fluffy towels with complimentary toiletries. Close proximity to Ascot race course. We would stay again- thanks for having us.

Small gripes only - complimentary water missing from our room and complimentary biscuits missing from our friends room. As mentioned above, breakfast service a bit slow (long wait for drinks).

The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way, location was excellent (we were visiting Lapland UK the following morning) and despite being very busy and full, the staff were attentive and ensured we had a table to enjoy a meal in the evening, with our 1 year old. The room was perfect, clean, comfortable with lovely touches like biscuits on my little boys bed - would really recommend staying here, family friendly but with great food and drinks too!

Breakfast in the morning was a little slow - the place was very busy, full of Lapland UK visiting families which made for a very exciting morning, but this did mean we ended up not eating breakfast - we allowed 30 mins which wasn't enough time. Will be sure to stay again and leave additional time as the food looked lovely!

The hotel staff are friendly and really helpful. The restaurant and pub has a great atmosphere with open fires in the bars and real buzz of people enjoying good food and wine.

My heating didn't work on the first night, however as soon I mentioned the issue the staff went out of their way to get it fixed. The only real complaint was that the shower tray didn't appear to be clean, I thought it was stained but when I rubbed it the stain came off - I didn't mention it to the staff, but I'm sure if I had this would have been sorted.

It was lovely and clean, the hotel bit felt new. The rooms were comfortable, pillows were nice (not lumpy or too soft!), perfect location as we were visiting Lapland UK - Literally a 2 minute drive. The restaurant was also brilliant, my daughter had a nut allergy and they were so hot on not contaminating the food. Superb roast dinner!

We couldn’t turn the heat down and turning the ac off made the room too stuffy. We ended up opening windows to let some fresh air in but it was quite noisy.

The staff were all very friendly, quick to be served in bar area. The waitress in the evening was polite and friendly, and always made time to check everything was good, even though the restaurant was extremely busy. The check in/check out system was also very quick and easy.

There really wasn't anything not to like, I guess if you want a quiet hotel/pub to visit on a Saturday, then this one wouldn't be ideal, as it was extremely busy, but that was absolutely fine by us.

Food was good, room was warm and cosy. Had all amenities needed for your stay. Close to where we needed to be for a party. Had a friendly vibe in restaurant and rooms were generally quiet. Overall, a good experience.

Some staff seemed slightly stressed especially at lunch time - just not as friendly as you would expect. Fridge in the room had drinks in but no price list so not sure what they would have cost. No explanation of breakfast arrangements or wi-fi etc in room or in person. Pillows were far too soft.

Surprised to find a bath as well as a shower, room was spacious and water and biscuits a nice treat. Plenty of free parking outside the hotel entrance

Gluten free options / alternatives which could have been presented in a more tasteful way. For example, toasted bread starter was burned and hard which made it difficult to soak up the balsamic oil. Chefs could have been more creative which made this experience a let down.

The experience was superb, from evening diner to the England game being shown in a separate function room with a large screen projector to breakfast. All superb.

The route to the bedroom which was lovely went past a security door which was jammed open as inside the secure door was a kitchen store. I was a little concerned as anyone could access the internal Hotel corridor to my bedroom. The door is a secure door for a reason and should not be wedged open with the kitchen store door also being open.

We have booked this property because it was 5min walk away from the Lapland UK that we were visiting. So for us the location was the key, and it was absolutely ideal. Our room was quite small but clean and had all we needed for a one night stay. Bathroom was clean and had lovely shower. Food in the hotel was very good. Nice choice on the menu. We had early dinner in the bar area on the day of arrival and lovely breakfast in the restaurant part next morning.

I thought that the need to go out of the building after checking in to enter the bedroom part of the hotel, and then again outside to enter restaurant and bar was a little inconvenient. No table service in the bar area, you need to order your food and drinks at the bar.

Really enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Royal Foresters. The location is perfect if you're visiting Ascot Racecourse. There is free parking at the hotel. Rooms were very clean and the bed is very comfy. There is an iron, ironing board and hairdryer already supplied in the room. Staff were very friendly in the restaurant (especially Stefan who made sure we weren't without a table on a busy Saturday night when we hadn't booked). Breakfast is also great too. If you have it included in your stay then you can pick anything off the menu and it is cooked freshly for you in the restaurant. We ate dinner in the restaurant 2 nights in a row and the food was brilliant and tasty too.

Our room was next to a main road so we kept the curtains closed the whole time. But we didn't spend too much time in the room so this wasn't a big problem for us. There wasn't any shower gel provided in the bathroom. The car park can get very busy when the restaurant is busy.
