We have stayed at Plaza Athenee quite a few times before. It has always been amazing. We are grateful that the hotel upgraded our room this time. We did notice the change of restaurant. We didn't manage to have any main meals at the hotel this time, but the afternoon tea was still as good and innovative as it had been.

It seemed that limousine service is now outsourced and a bit less up to standard. The lady chauffeur who picked us up at the airport was wearing very high heels (like 3-4 inches), which made us a bit uneasy, considering it can be dangerous driving in heels this high, especially with passengers in the car. Also, the chauffeur was coughing quite a bit without a mask, but told us we could either go for keeping the windows open or having air-con on, but not both... For hygienic purpose, we chose to keep the windows open, and it was 29 °C outside. That was not very pleasant.

My experience at the hotel was absolutely fantastic. The staff were not only friendly but also remarkably attentive, which made for an atmosphere that exuded both peace and royalty.

The elegance and opulence. The doormen who were wonderful and so polite. Our stay was personalised with little gifts for us and beautifully written cards.

Having to leave.

Had a very pleasant experience at the Plaza Athenee a few weeks ago. Ruggiero Giannnino went out of his way to make our stay even more comfortable and pleasant. All in all, highly recommended. We will return for sure.

surprises us and kind employees

Plaza Athenee never disappoints. Impeccably clean, service top notch, beautiful, extravagant, beds are super comfy, amazing location, food is out of this world. All hotel managers are super nice.

Some concierge staff (mostly male) were a bit rude/cold. I went up to one of them to ask a question and he answered a phone right as I was speaking without saying "sorry one second" and also didn't seem to want to help me much as I missed a call from hotel manager. I was a little bit surprised by that as EVERYONE in that hotel caters to you from A to Z. Other than that no complaints at all!

Absolute Parisian perfection. This hotel is as stunning as it looks in photos and as iconic in person as I had imagined. We had an Eiffel Tower view room on Bastille Day- it was just magic watching the fireworks.

Some of the finer details of the room, like the curtains and wrap around the chandelier did look a little tired given the price.

It was beautiful, stylish and very clean. The room was always tidy and neat after the housekeeper was there. The employees always treated us with respect and made us feel so special. An extra thanks to the housekeepers and all the sweet ladies that served us breakfast in the room.

Terrace was closed. Would have liked the back garden to look better. My main complaint is that we booked on hotels.com and I did not receive the same level of treatment i receive when I book through the firm’s travel agent. We were also charged an additional fee for having two people instead of one in the same room. 100 euros a night isn’t much but it was offensive.
