It was perfectly located for attending concerts at Stanford Stadium. The room was a perfect size and had everything we needed. The bed was really comfortable too. The lady on reception was super friendly and helpful and the room was cleaned every day. after reading some reviews about traffic noise and non daily housekeeping we have to say we did not have any of these issues and if we ever come back to the area we will definitely stay again.

There was nothing we disliked. The furniture in the room was a bit dated and the shower wasn’t the most powerful but that didn’t bother us.

Second time here. Stayed in a room with separate bedroom and living area both times, which is a comfortable space for 3 nights. Kitchenette is a useful and appreciated feature. Location can't be beat: very close to Stanford University campus and a 1-minute walk from California St, which is a mostly pedestrian stretch of road with *many* restaurants, from cafes to upscale dining, and lots of outdoor seating. Ice machine was broken when we arrived, but staff were very helpful getting me some ice from next door, and the machine was fixed quickly.

It's somewhat noisy during the day due to traffic, and occasionally at night with the large parking/business access area behind the hotel (for all those great restaurants). Some of the furniture could use refurbishing but everything is functional.

For the price it was a great deal. Very clean. It was a suite which was really nice. Older but well maintained. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a pool that was clean, but we didn't use it. They gave us some good restaurant suggestions. Did not feel or look like the usual motel-dirty, everything is broken, dirty pool, staff barely speaks English, etc.

It is right by the main road but the give you earplugs. It wasn't a problem for us.

It may look like a 1950s hotel on the outside but it is has an extremely comfortable and modernized interior with very cozy and comfy double queen beds, a kitchenette, a desk, an eating table with two chairs and a nice bathroom with a large shower. It is convenient to California Avenue that has to have at least 20 restaurants and 15 places to get coffee in the morning and at the end of California is the train station that you can take to San Francisco or San Jose. I was there for my college reunion at Stanford and walked to all the events on campus and back. Yes I clocked over 17,000 steps a day but it was so convenient. Will I stay there again? In a heartbeat. It was very clean and convenient and affordable! I would have taken pictures but the internet has a ton of pictures that are very accurate. The only thing I can suggest is if you are going to use the kitchenette at all, bring paper plates and utensils.

There was truly nothing I did not like!

Perfect location if needing to be near Stanford University or Stanford hospital. Near shopping and restaurants. Couldn't be better located. The room is was spacious and comfortable. It's a essentially a small one bedroom apartment. Bed and linens were luxurious. Coffee maker and tea supplies were great. Terrific to have a microwave. The was very clean. The housekeepers obviously pay attention to details.

The TV was ok for video but the sound was pretty bad. The TV remote seemed to work only if right next to the TV. The toilet seat was wobbly. The sofa seemed a bit soiled especially on the arms. I felt I needed a little table near the sofa to put my drink and other small items. I pulled up a kitchen chair for make-do. One or two kitchen items would have come in handy; a plate, a bowl, fork, spoon and so on.

The bed was extremely comfortable. Location was very convenient with easy access to lots of great shops for groceries and the farmers markets were right there every sunday (so much fun!). The cleaning staff were very diligent, helpful and friendly. The hotel staff went above and beyond with any request we had - they promptly attended to our every need. The swimming pool was lovely and clean with fresh towels readily available.

The only minor thing was the sound of the garbage trucks in the mornings.

Staff was extremely helpful. Room was a nice size and well set up with a mini fridge and Keurig machine. Location was great for my son who had 3 of his favorite food stops within a block and very short walking distance (Chipotle, Panda Express, and Jack In The Box). Parking lot could handle my crew cab + long bed truck! (Not a small thing in California!) There was a great Farmers Market next door, on California Street. The location was great for our needs, being relatively close to Lucille Packard, so driving to and from wasn't as stressful as it tends to get.

It's not their fault but there's a large lot on the backside that had frequent early morning deliveries and a lot of beepers that would sound at 6am. Almost felt like a construction zone with the amount of air brakes and horns sounding.

Clean and spacious room for two people. Kitchenette - very useful. Pool was nice! (though a little cold this time of year). Comfortable beds. Very good location relative to Stanford U. Very friendly and helpful staff/owners. Plus right next to many nice eating options and shops.

Could use a little upgrade, like, it's a great shower, hot water, but the water pressure was low (maybe that helps conserve water, though). Some of the light switches either don't do anything or didn't work. But this is minor stuff, given all the other pluses.

Location relative to Stanford and food

Little things which affected our comfort. Water pressure in shower was a drip. Bathroom smelled bad after using the toilet and window opened to fumes and garbage smell of parking lot behind motel. Also fans in bathroom didn’t work. We kept lowering the temperature, but it would still remain hot at times. Then it would chime in the middle of the night to turn off. One other thing I remember is that the toilet was a pain to flush. You have to hold down the button for a while and the water would splash quite a bit.

Great location, next to a pedestrian street (California Avenue) with many restaurants. Walking distance to Caltrain train station with direct trains to San Francisco. Close for exploring Stanford University, 10-15 minutes walking to the campus. Rooms was big (2 double beds), clean, coffee provided.

The pillows are pretty hard, no other options, very uncomfortable, otherwise it would be 10.
