The room was good, clean, and the bed was comfortable.

That my reservation was made because it was closest to Stanford Medical Center for my brothers facial surgery. I was told it would be 5 days long hospital stay then changed it too a 2 day surgery hospital stay. I stayed one more day for his healing, therefore, was not as long as reserved and Sheraton Hotel would not refund the two nights that I did not stay there. They were notified through Booking.com of my change of reservation in plenty of time. They contacted Sheraton Hotel via email but the hotel did not respond until after the window for change in reservation was closed. I discussed this with both the Sheraton Hotel and Booking.com. They said that I would not get a refund. That is pure stealing in my opinion. I will not stay there again because of this issue.

The Sheraton Palo Alto Hotel is a family and dog friendly hotel close to Stanford and University Avenue. We were warmly greeted at check-in by the front desk staff and were very pleased with our room. I found our room to be comfortable, modern and very clean. The pool was large and heated with plenty of seating and clean towels. We enjoyed the on site restaurant/bar for dinner, drinks and dessert. My kiddo loved the kids’ cheese pizza & side of fruit. The servers and bar tenders were professional, nice & accommodating. In the morning, we enjoyed the outdoor cafe to order coffee, muffins, breakfast burritos etc…to enjoy at one of the many tables around the pool. The entrance to Stanford is across the expressway, so it was very nice to walk onto campus and see the Hoover Tower and other famous buildings.

The agreement you have with the Hertz Car rental. One of the reasons I chose Sheraton over another hotel within close walking distance of Stanford was the fact that Hertz rental is attached to the hotel. The Hertz staff had left before 4.30 pm and there was limited information about their hours in the open office. I ended up having to get a car the following day from another Hertz rental in Palo Alto.

Have stayed here twice before and really liked it. There was extensive construction being done on pool and restaurant this trip. Was not told of this in advance. Sure that will be much better when finished this time. Thought that a discount should have been offered for limited facilities but just staying on night so did not push the issue.

A spacious room overlooking a lush courtyard—what a delight! The pillows are comfortable, and there are plenty of outlets, perfect for business travelers or those with lots of gadgets. The staff is friendly and attentive. I’m thoroughly satisfied with my stay.

I might consider swapping the coffee machine for just a kettle instead. I was a bit worried that it wouldn’t turn off properly.

Very nice room and facilities. Staffs are friendly too. Great location right by the caltrain station and close to downtown Palo Alto as well as Stanford University.

No free parking and no microwave in the room. I also wish the price was lower but I guess everything is expensive in Palo Alto....

The welcome we received from the desk clerk was incredible! We felt good about being there from the start. The rooms there are very comfortable and quiet.

The price was a bit high, but once you see your room, you'll know where the extra money went. Also, the rooms don't have microwaves, which isn't a big deal. We just noticed we had nothing to heat our leftovers with.

Staff are very courteous and welcoming. Very conveniently located near Stanford Shopping Center, the rail train and University Ave where they have a lot of eateries.

For better convenience for your guests the rooms could use a microwave.
