This is a lovely place to stay with the most delightful young woman at the front desk in the afternoon and evening. The rooms are clean and the bed was very comfortable. Parking by the hotel is hard, but there is parking a short walk away, behind the Mercado, that was free and super!

The breakfast at the hotel is very nice, however the nice ladies in attendance sometimes get very wrapped up in their own stuff, rather than monitoring the dining area. It takes away from the experience. We ended up stopping breakfast service and going to Nova Camir.

Trovador Guest House (in fact three guesthouses on the same little square) is a few minutes walk from Guimarães' beautiful and nice historic centre and around the corner of the Unesco-worldheritage Couros-neighbourhood, in restored old buildings that are well renovated and have all the comfort you can think of.

Probably exactly because of the ideal location it sometimes can be a little noisy, with traffic passing nearby, people hanging around at night, etc. Bring a few earplugs just in case :-)

The property was located in a charming area to the south of the city centre. We stayed in a top floor room which came with a balcony with a table and two chairs overlooking the tiled rooftops. The breakfast was delicious and compised a range of breads and pastries with jams, cheese and ham and yoghurt. The staff were very welcoming both on check-in and in the breakfast room the next morning. We will definately be staying again!

Great location. I was in a corner location and loved the wrap around windows facing the plaza. They also had shutters to shut out the morning light. Nice shower water pressure, too.

The automatic light in the hallway was broken, so it was a dark stairway. Limited tea selection (only chamomile) and no milk/creamer. Toiletries consisted of hand soap and shampoo (no conditioner or lotion). I could not find the Wi-Fi or password.

The apartment met our expectations. It's right on the Largo de Toural, so the location is perfect. The apartment was clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed. The staff was friendly and helpful. Keep in mind that you have to walk about 5 minutes from reception to the apartment.

The church bell rang at 7 am and then every 15 minutes, no chance to stay asleep. But oh well, it's not in the host's power to control that!

Excellent location, very close to the city attractions (5 min walk from the historical centre). Very clean. A very nice place to eat just around the corner (A Taberna do Trovador).

There is no elevator, so you have to climb the stairs with your luggage. The reception is not 24-hours on the site and the 24-hour assistance phone number that the Trovador announces may not work properly: I needed an extra night, tried to the call the number several times and only succeed to contact the administration when I went back to the hotel and by chance met a person of the cleaning staff who was around at that time and managed to phone a manager in their private number.

Very nice building, old outside and new inside! The room was clean and had everything necessary, the bad was very comfortable, the breakfast, served on the ground floor by a very gentle lady, was aboundant and with all options. We really recommend the structure, and thank the kindest receptionist you can find!!

The room and the bathroom were tight, but comfortable enough.

It is a perfect choice. Modern comfort inside, UNESCO charm outside, in the centre, but at a silent square. Do not miss the water tanks used by the leather industry just behind the block and the Tasquinha Tio Julio just next door. You can feel yourself in a very local place in a touristic town.

Very good breakfast. Room and bathroom were both large. We found free street parking nearby.

Outlet for charging devices was on only one side of the bed (not my side 😏) but there were other outlets in the room. Be sure to note the door number for the office - the sign was hard to spot.

It was a large, nice and clean room with private large bathroom. In the room there was an keetle to boild watter for tea or koffee. We asked at the reception for more cups for tee/coffee. There is no shared kitchen in spite of a kitchen visible on web sites (this kitchen is situated in one of appartmens). On the street under there was a bar, fortunately closes at 8 p.m (we were not there at weekend). We had a nice and quite stay.

The soundproof is maybe not perfect, because we heard a child crying from the room across the corridor. Fortunately not in the night. There is not so many furniture in the room but it was no problem for us.
