I liked the fact that Camilia obliged me when I appeared earlier than expected & was very helpful, came back later and Luis picked me up from the Guimarães railway station ( raining then ) & settled me right away even turned on the dual inverter reverse cycle aircon at 28C ! He allotted me a lovely room at the ground floor but on this instance the room had almost unusable WiFi but it does not deter me from returning in March! Breakfast was personalised on my own table & I had access to a microwave and they lent me bowls. The mini bar was cold and nice, not just luke warm as in most places. Bus 4 from the Bus Terminal goes through the Hostel / Hotel ( right in front ! ) at Tourla enroute to the railway station

WiFi signal at the room Ground Floor, but at other parts of the Ground Floor it was good, to be honest and fair. I am given to understand the technical issues are being sorted out, so good on them !

Let me just say that the location is unmatch, you are basically 10 min walk from the historical center. The price/quality ratio is really good. The breakfast is humble, you will have one person serving you, and you can ask for more if you want. The room had a mini refrigerator that we could use.

They don't have parking, there is payed underground parking that you pay 0.40€ per hour after the first 2 hours. The mini refrigerator made so much noise during the night.

Luis is an awesome host and a truly nice guy. The location is as good as it gets. Located in the heart of the historic district. Restaurants, stores of all kinds and the main sites of Guimaraes all within walking distance. The breakfast was also as good as you could ever expect and more available than I could or would want to eat. Thank You Luis for making my stay a wonderful experience.

This well run 5 room property is located steps from the historic center of Guimares. it is an excellent value but if you are expecting a hotel experience, this is not the place for you. Check in to both the property and your room is done by code which I had absolutely no problem with, but another guest did not get the codes and when he called the owner, he respond immediately in person. and got them checked in. breakfast is your standard Portuguese breakfast. Luis the owner and the other staff are all very friendly and helpful. Luis has very good suggestions of what to do and where to eat. While there are nearby free on street parking availabilities about 200 feet before you reach the hotel there’s an entrance to a municipal garage which has very affordable rates.  there’s one unit on the ground floor and the other four are on the first and second floors there’s no elevator so if you have issues with stairs, request the ground floor and unit.

Exelebt location Very close to historical center. Miguel made his best to fill our needs.

There are three floors. No elevator only narrow stairs.We had to carry our luggage by hand up the stairs. At the time of our arrival, there was no one at the front desk to try and arrange another room. The breakfast content was basic.

Clean, comfortable, excellent location. Had a cute balcony. Owner was amazing. So friendly and welcoming. We were very early to town. He brought us in and gave us coffee, called when the room was ready (also early). Right next to inexpensive parking…6 euros for overnight. Great place in a gorgeous town.

On the smaller side but very well organized with all necessary tools.

This hotel is on the perfect.loaction. 10 min walk from the train, and 5 minutes from the historic center. It was a very nice room, clean and comfortable with a lot of nice little touches. Robes, coffee, two small water bottles in the fridge. We had the downstairs room with a private patio, which was nice. The breakfast was really good. Yogurt, cereal, bread, meat and cheese, fruit, juice, sweets, and great coffee. The person serving breakfast was very nice and friendly too. We would definitely recommend this to our friends.

Great location, amazing breakfast and our room was very well designed and decorated. So many beautiful little detailes!

Check in is easy if you receive the correct code. We didn't. There are 2 local numbers on the door - however, because we only had a foreign phone ( we only purchased SIM card for the internet because we didn't plan to make calls in Portugal), we had to figure out the country code. We called the first number, nobody picked up. We had more luck with the second call and got the correct code. We went to pick up our luggage and received a call, that they have changed the code and now the first code is correct. It would be great if you could add a WhatsApp number or at least the number on the door with the country code, it would be easier for foreigners to reach you and for you to reach them.

Amazing location and the room was perfectly cleaned. The staff was friendly and helpful. Oh great shower!

The room was facing the street and it was very noisy because there were cars driving past all night. Even though I had ear plugs (and I shove them down my eardrum!) it was impossible to have a quiet moment. I would suggest leaving a thick blanket in the room. At night was cold and the only thing available was a very slim one.

Cold breakfast was fine but the same every day. The service was exceptional and the owner very helpful. The room was cosy with ancient stone walls and modern beamed ceiling. The bathroom had a full glass wall to the stone walled small padio- unique. Location perfect. Check in not required, just use provided door code.
