The location & setting is gorgeous - the rooms - due to old buildings - are a bit "dark" as the old buildings mainly only have small windows. Overall very beautiful.

Unfortunately 400.- Euro cash from my wallet - left in the room - disappeared. I would have expected the hotel to do more to get clearity of the incident.

The location is amazing, and so are the rooms and the buildings.

There are 2 pools, one is adults only, which was lovely and quiet, until KIDS came!! Nothing was said to them, I even said something at reception, but nothing was done and the same thing happened the next day! This was very disappointing when you book somewhere because it has this facility. Sun beds need updating too, at £450 a night you expect a mattress on them.

The attention to details with immaculate design of the place is simply stunning and a real gem - even in such a beautiful Chianti region! It was our 3rd time in Borgo Scopeto and 1st with our little dog Loki. The treat he got was a real 5 star approach. Loki got his own bed, welcome snacks, cleaning set and his own dog’s menu - which was of a super high quality (we took 2 sets with us when we left for home). The hotel's interior as well as architecture is exceptional, offering a true sense of luxury amidst the lush greenery of the surrounding hills.

Absolutely nothing

The property is impressive, with extensive grounds, and has everything visitors might wish for across all age groups including two pools and a spa, an excellent restaurant. The staff are welcoming, incredibly friendly and sociable and helpful.

We liked everything about the property. It is deep in the Tuscan country side but the local towns are accessible by car or taxi. Siena is the closest and a must if one has not already been there. The Duomo is a standout must.

The hotel is beautifully decorated with magnificent gardens and landscape. The aroma of lavender and jasmine is heavenly! The bar tender at the pool was very friendly and polite.

Overpriced for what you get! Personally, we didn’t like the atmosphere at the hotel which felt over fussy and aloof. It feels that they’re trying too hard. The hotel lacks the joie de vie! Not the typical atmosphere of being in Italy which we enjoy. The restaurant was nice but not out of this world. The breakfast was good but if you wish to order an omelette or have pancakes it costs extra. We think for the price which we paid this should be complimentary.

Absolutely amazing destination for a relaxing short break. The entire facilities were spectacular with no loud music, just the beauty of nature. The pool was super and felt so refreshing. Staff were excellent particularly Val Mina who gave such a warm welcome (I loved her uniform). Restaurant staff were so helpful and attention to detail was fabulous. I was celebrating a special birthday and so made wonderful memories which will stay with me always.

I felt the BBQ was over rated and pricey for what we got. I would have expected a glass of wine included for the price. Though I must say the pork was so delicious, just not enough of it! If I was staying for longer, I would have liked another option for a restaurant/menu. The fine dining was superb but just not everyday. There was a pool bar that provided salad/sandwiches during the day. I think water in the room should be provided every day.

We looked for this hotel to visit Tuscan wine regions. And we wanted to have this experience... We were able to rest and we were able to visit the vineyards and learn more about the wines. In the restaurant we were well attended by the staff. Very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent, I keep in my memory the rabbit I ate and the excellent breakfasts. Outside we had everything to be happy, swimming pool, tennis fields, space to read a good book, terrace to drink a few glasses of wine and walk around the farm

They should have a bottle of wine in the room as a welcome gift

If you want some Tuscan luxury and somewhere to base yourself to also explore the surrounding region, then this is perfect! We had a Junior Suite which was huge (two bathrooms and a living room) and loved the vast surrounds of the property. The view from the pool area and the breakfast outside was amazing, you just wanted to sit there all day (which we almost did, given breakfast went until 11am!!). We enjoyed a wine tasting with Eduardo, great meals in the restaurant, the health spa (massages etc) and also walking around through the vineyards. We spent 4 nights here which was a lovely rest after being in Rome. We were also close enough to drive and explore beautiful towns for lunch or dinners (Radda in Chianti, Castellina in Chianti etc). My only criticism was that the Junior Suites online look like they have amazing views, but ours had no view at all and looked directly onto a carpark and the health centre. The property itself has amazing views, but not the Junior Suite we had (seemed a bit like false advertising given the photos shown on the website). But that didn't detract from how amazing the whole estate is and its wonderful location.

Junior Suites don't have views like they are portrayed online. Maybe there is one Junior Suite which has views like that - but ours had no view at all. That should be clearly stated when booking.

A remarkable establishment. The grounds and buildings are magnificent. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing. The staff takes great care. The breakfast is perfect.

Not much. The restaurant is good but not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. The spa is in a side building, you have to cross the courtyard in the rain and cold. And finally, there is no real plug for electric cars, just a socket limited to 16A. I would have preferred a paid plug with decent power.

Borgo Scopeto Wine & Country Relais went above and beyond to make our stay feel exclusive without being pretentious. ALL of the employees were genuinely kind and so helpful. I can't say enough wonderful things about this location. The rooms were amazing, clean, and extremely attractive. Order a bottle of the wine-it was excellent. We had dinner in their restaurant and it was equally outstanding. The servers were attentive and constantly brought little extras to the table. In the US, you would pay twice as much for such a facility. The breakfast that was provided was expansive and had a variety of foods. Staff members stood in the doorway waving goodbye to us as we drove away. Never had that happen before!

The drive up to the resort was a little challenging. Our GPS has us on dirt roads heading up the mountain. I would suggest that you carefully review your route or check with your driver prior to heading to the destination.
