We had a wonderful stay! The location is absolutely beautiful and very peaceful. The buffet breakfast was delicious, and all the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We especially loved the wine tour—Virginia was fantastic! She was warm, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience both informative and a lot of fun. She explained everything so well and really made the tour memorable. Highly recommend!

The only downside was that the bed was quite firm, so it wasn’t the most comfortable sleep. Our room was also located above the kitchen, which meant it got a bit noisy in the evenings when they were packing up and early in the mornings during breakfast setup.

Incredible! The property was a dream. The view from the room was amazing. Very clean. The fresh Food spoiled me. Loved learning about the sustainability and organic farming. We went on the olive oil tour. A must! The wine tour. So much fun. The passion and enthusiasm from the staff sharing their knowledge was infectious. Sydney and Emily…you guys work so hard. Loved the music night. Brought the guest community together. The owner , Manya is beautiful inside and out and is always very present. I did not want to leave. 💞

I missed pizza night. 😉. No one’s fault. It was Sunday night and we had to continue our journey, leaving Saturday.

The place is just magnificent! The view from the top of the hill where La Torre alle Tolfe is located is absolutely breathtaking! Garden, the architecture of the building, decorations and vineyard is beautiful and one of a king, these sunsets were just wonderful even during autumn. Staff were always so helpful (even without english), breakfast is small but fresh and delicious, some sweet cakes, eggs, cheese, ham and bread. Dinner in a restaurant was also okay. Wine and olive oil from their terrains were delicious too. So close to Siena but car is needed! Nice heating in rooms when it was cold.

Everything! I don’t know where to start. The hotel is set in beautiful countryside and there are fantastic views out over Tuscany. Our room was very spacious and the pool area is lovely. The staff are very helpful and passionate about the produce from the farm - we did the wine tasting tour and morning animal feed with our little girl, and the pride the staff have in what is made on the farm really shone through. Breakfast was great and we had a lunch and dinner on site too, enjoying the gorgeous views from the restaurant which overlooks the countryside. The food is really good, with plenty of GF options. There are lots of nice little touches too, like free pool towels available at reception, and tennis racquets and balls for anyone wanting to use the tennis courts on the grounds. Easily one of the best places we have ever stayed, we loved it

If I had to pick one thing, I would suggest a separate car park for hotel guests and restaurant customers, as we struggled to find somewhere to park one evening when we came back from dinner out as a lot of parking spaces were taken up by people eating at the on site restaurant, but that really is the only small thing I can think of. Overall it was a fantastic stay

Beautiful villa and spacious apartment with gorgeous view. Hot water came out instantly with good pressure in the showers. Animal feeding tour was a highlight (tip: to wear enclosed shoes). The wine tour was also excellent with the guide being very charming and knowledgeable. Both the animal and wine tour guide were very passionate about their works and purpose!

We did have a few instances of miscommunication with the receptionist, who did tell us she was new. A few minor things, but one matter that did bother us was that she told us we could request house keeping, which we did. To our shock, we were charged €50 for the house keeper to be in our rooms for less than 20mins and to just make our beds and replace kitchen bins. If the receptionist had been transparent and told us the cost, we would not have requested it. Rather than tell us we could “request” house keeping, I wish she had told us we would “pay” for it. Other than that, a lovely stay!

The location of this property was simply stunning - looking out in all directions across rolling Tuscany countryside. Beautiful historic property with winery attached (we didn't do the tour or tasting). Our apartment (Limonaia) was fabulous. Large rooms, nice little touches. Fully functioning kitchen with nice things like some coffee and a traditional coffee maker with instructions how to use it! Great stay here. I would really highly recommend this place. a real change of place and so stunning a location!

We did wait a long time to be acknowledged in the restaurant on the first night and hence marked staff down a little. Once we pointed out that we had been sitting 35 minutes without even a drink, things looked up a little bit. Menu was slightly limited with no vegetarian option. Breakfast was also a bit limited for EUR15 per head.

Amazing property with very kind staff with lots to do on site. Serene, quiet, and relaxing atmosphere. Room was very comfortable and clean. The wine tasting tour is a must do, as you get to try several of the wines made on the property and learn more about where you are staying. You will need to take a taxi to and from the property to Siena. We walked one day too and from the property into Siena and it took about an hour (4km) each way with a few big hills, but we are in relatively good shape and were quite tired by the end of the day. It’s doable but not for the faint of heart.

The restaurant was a pass. We stayed at the end of March and it may be the time of year, but our meals were not fresh and very expensive.

There are not enough words to explain how perfect our time at Le Tolfe was. We stayed on the top floor of the main building in the Leocorno Room and had wonderful views from all our windows! It was a lot of fun researching the history of our room name (contrade) and following the Palio event as we explored downtown Siena. It was a bonus having wifi access from our room likely due to us being above the breakfast area. We didn't have any problems with noise from the other guest rooms. There is a wide variety of delicious breakfast options with the ability to order off a menu if you choose (extra fee). Le Tolfe wine is always available to purchase at your convenience and charged at check-out; we loved the rose! The grounds of the agriturismo are kept immaculate and provide postcard scenery anyway you look. Pictures cannot do proper justice! The pool was an amazing way to unwind after a day of exploring and loungers were always available. The front staff were very friendly and always there to help with questions/recommendations in person or via What’s App. We enjoyed some of the events made available onsite such as the evening farm tour (free) and cooking class (for a fee, book in advance). We had a lot of fun with the chef as he took us on a tour of the herb garden and taught us how to make Pici pasta. Later that evening we were able to enjoy what we made during the class at the onsite restaurant for dinner. It was complete magic sitting outside eating and enjoying a bottle of wine in the Tuscan countryside while listening to the sounds of nature. We wish we had more time to do the olive oil/wine tasting and star gazing experiences (extra fee). Le Tolfe is the perfect location to stay when making day trips to: downtown Sienna (5-10 minute drive to Sienna train station, park for cheap), San Gimignano, Pienza, Montepulciano, Florence and the hot springs. We would highly recommend to book a stay here and we hope to return back on our next trip to Tuscany!

Our stay at Borgo La Torre alle Tolfe was excellent! We booked the accommodation for 5 nights; the property is amazing, very peaceful and it really gives you a taste of what Tuscany has to offer; you feel like you are living in a castle, very quiet and relaxing. You could stay there for hours or even days just admiring the landscape. The staff is also very helpful, and the rooms were spacious and clean. Being located very close to Siena, it gives you easy access to all the main touristic landmarks in Tuscany.

We LOVED the property - gorgeous views all around this place and the setting is just idyllic. I can’t say enough about the views everywhere and the Tuscan setting.

At times - the service was lacking. We waited 40 minutes one night at our dinner table to the wait staff to acknowledge us. You’re not close to the town of Siena so going somewhere else isn’t an option, and it’s a minimum €20 taxi ride anywhere you go. Definitely would consider either bringing food to cook or having different dinner plans on some nights.
